I watched the same episode of the Graham Norton Show! I'm American. I was like "Wow, she just gave Americans a bad rep." I hate how most people here don't care for education and eat whatever tastes good. But everyone has their blonde moments. Including Brits.

I just watched the one were they drink the wine. I was laughing about Hilton.

*sigh* Can I please not be American anymore?

American, female, blonde, are there any 'moron' stereotypes I don't fit into?

. . . .

That is a total idiot moment, though.

Why are the British so adorable!

and the Scottish. I'm part Irish and English way back, but I'm convinced I'm part Scottish too... i just HAVE to be. The Scots-Irish settled in the frontier, their descendants became hicks, and my dad is from Alabama...

I live in America, but I am not... belonging to anything, I am just me.

NERGH! I wish I had a Tardis! lol

When my two friends and I went to England and France for 9 days, we were watching a British comedy show and there was David Tennant on the show, and the show host called a phone in a replica of the tardis, and trapped a man in the Tardis and transported him to the stage. Is that the same show?

That's how I remember it going. I've been thinking I'm going mad reading this thread because I don't remember an American woman anywhere.

Did they redo it, or did they do it to more than one person and I just don't remember her?

I am so glad that I'm not the only one. I already watch it once. laughed. I do not want to sit through it again to catch what I seem to have missed.

I may be American, but I have a foreign accent. I got it from being partly deaf for the first 6 or 7 years of my life. I get asked the funniest questions.
"What's your native language?" "Are you from Russia?" "What country are you from?"
Answers; English, No, Florida.

Only one person had ever pin pointed the accent. He thought I really was deaf.

I think it depends which part of Britain the person is from - I've got a Scottish Highland accent, but now and again the odd word will come out slightly English-sounding (my mum's fault!). Personally I'm not a fan of the Aberdeen or Dundee accents, I just can't understand them! I find the Welsh a bit hard to follow too... but the southern Irish... *swoon* blaugh

Or do you mean English by British?

Every culture has its imbiciles. And lately, they seem to be breeding faster then normal.

She might have been brought there by a friend or significent other who heart s Doctor Who, though she herself knows nothing.

I love asking people which accent they mean when they say they like British accents. I don't really tend to bother anymore though, because I rarely never get an answer. A lot of people I say it to just seem to think I mean I don't think British people have accents or something. >>

One of my friends I asked said "I don't know your slang words". I said "Fine, what area do you like them from then". She didn't give me an answer. =[

I'm in Birmingham at the moment, and I really like the Brummie accents. I'm jealous. D:

I did go back and watch it again. XD But we're definitely not missing anything. Definitely wasn't there. Phew. D:

Aww, that's interesting. =] Quite a few people think I'm from Yorkshire because of my accent, but that's not quite as interesting. xP

lol... yeah, I am not well learned in the area of accents... I do like scottish accents for some reason, and irish are cute too... as for the difference between southern and northern, well, Perhaps one day I shall take a course on english speaking accents.

But then again, are you familiar with the different american accents? (like Brooklyn, Texan, Southern drawl... people in Washington even sound different)

I'm from california, but my mom's mom was from New York and my dad's from Alabama, so I've got a mixed up american english accent.

Yeah in America the old movies would have any European speak with a British accent (even Nazis in WWII movies!).
