Ouch. Braces. I went through that. It'll feel so wierd when you get them taken off.

Alright, the invite had been sent, so hopefully we'll take another into the fold...
I also had braces before, but I got them off early (since I got them ON early)
I've also heared playing a brass instrument can be harder, because it pushes against your lips...
Still, it really must make it hard!

ZombieJeff Alright, the invite had been sent, so hopefully we'll take another into the fold...
I also had braces before, but I got them off early (since I got them ON early)
I've also heared playing a brass instrument can be harder, because it pushes against your lips...
Still, it really must make it hard! Yeah. My brother plays trumpet and he talks about that alot. But the real problem for me is actually trying to produce sound-I can't direct the air right with metal digging into the sides of my mouth. Especially the higher notes which require faster air. You have to tighten up your lips to do that...ouch. Although, techically I am pressing the mouthpiece against my bottom lip. But it's very different from a brass instrument. At least I don't play saxaphone, clarinet, or any other reed instrument...though I don't know how one of them would have to cope with getting braces.

It'd mildly odd that a fair amount of my Gaia buddies play an instrument, as well as most of my friends in real life... o.O
