Okay, I don't mean to say this to offend people, because I know wicca is a real religion and I respect it. I just can't help thinking of the T.V. show charmed. Please don't be mad at me, I just can't help it.

Personally, I understand that sometimes you say something without thinking. I am a minor Wiccan, I use the mediations and tarot and believe in the God and Goddess. I also practice the Kuji-in Nine Hand Seals to compliment my meditation. I mix practices and I think that sometimes you should explain instead of getting angry. Getting angry means that whoever you're mad at never learns, just knows that you got mad.

Look it up, and people, stop being so touchy about religions, unless God told you to spread the joy.
Then by all means people, spread the joy.
Otherwise, why are you talking about religion in Gaia? It's like the John Cena incident all over again, a bunch of people will flame and bother over one religion while upholding another and another faction will come in, and it all leads to war people.
Take religion to a religious guild, or to your mom.
Or even better, an anonymous AOL chatroom.

Okay, here's my take:
I'm a Wiccan. I revere nature in the same way Christians revere Christ, Buddhists revere Buddha, and Muslims revere the prophet Muhammed and Allah. I do hug a tree every day, but that is for different reasons. My belief in the Rede and my desire for non-violence in this world far outweigh any anger towards the innocently ignorant comment about tree hugging and cults. A cult is simply a religion with fewer people, by definition. I may not be in the strictest sense of the word a practitioner in the Craft, but I do believe in the metaphysical. Also, Charmed does indeed suck.

so far the only person I fully agree with here is Amp. Restless isn't too far off. But you people dissapoint me. Look at yourselves. You allow this guy to make one small comment and all of this goes to hell. What are we doing here?
I'll ask you all one simple question. Can't we all just get along? I'm not a practitioner myself per-ce but I do know some things about wicca. What I have learnd is that its not about who worships what. It's about respect. You know the golden rule that every religion has, it is the same principle in EVERYTHING!
Do unto others as you would like them do unto you.
An' it harm none.
Its all the same. Stop arguing over this stupid point. Because there is none. You want to know who the real wiccans are? Who the true spirtualists, priests, whatever the hell you want to call yourself are? The ones that have ignored this guy, blessed him, and went on their merry way. There is no point to this and he obviously doesn't care either so why are you wasting your time?
I personally don't know what I believe. But I do know that unless we can learn to get along then this world will crumble. Petty arguments are worthless, and this is almost below petty.
Put away your anger, put away your sharp tounges, and move on. Just stop this useless squablling.

Give him a goddamn break as well, I realize he was fairly rude in the way he saw it, but he isn't saying it for spite.
Calling people who practice Wicca "Tree-Huggers" is like...calling gamers *****, you're going to piss of a LOT of people, have to excuse yourself and escape from the bombardment of flames
