Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been burned. At the stake.

I don't intend to argue with you, as you have a valid point. However, I really don't appreciate your twisting this light (yes, light) conversation into such an unhappy one. You aren't thinking my point through very carefully, and it rather shows.

Oh I know, I don't think it's possible to talk about Mana and have a debate without arguing ensuing. razz

He's popular for lolita, okay...his clothing line is priced the same as all the rest, it's not at all bad in quality...um, yes he's older than most lolita but really, it isn't like he's a wrinkly old guy (that would indeed be frightening).

I don't think it's healthy to worship someone like some fans do though...he's just a guy, jeez. XD -gets ready to be completely ignored and/or ambushed-

In case anyone didn't read what I wrote, I'd like to mention that I was comparing Mana's reputation and popularity to Jesus's. I don't consider Mana a deity of any kind. I'm quite atheist, so I don't believe in divinity <3.

I haven't really given my opinion of him. To me, he's just an attractive guy who started an attractive line of clothing. Yay him! Now let's move on and find someone more significant to idolize.

*Snickers* You can't say Mana isn't supernatural creature. Just look in the Gotic and Lolita Bible's and you'll see he gets younger insted of older. xd

I'd like to now request that AmaniKitty tear you to pieces.

This is a one-time-only deal, just for you.

lol. I must agree with them though.

I won't be surprised that when Mana dies, you'll see a fetus in a coffin.

Rofl, that'd be a sight to see! XD

Really, people do worship Mana. :/ Just like people do worship Paris Hilton, and other celebrities and subjects.
Obviously the subject has been taken too seriously, because someone just used Jesus' name? Seriously, if you were intoxicated while posting, then maybe you shouldn't have posted, and waited until you were actually sober. Dur.

@Salamandra. Mmmm. A whiteface fetus in a gothic lolita dress in a coffin. That'd be pretty weird.

I looooove Mana. I like his somewhat questionable and rediculously over priced clothing line. I like his music. I like his visual kei outfits. And I like that he's a huge dork on the inside :B
However, that does not mean I would point at him and say 'Dress exactly like this!' if someone wants to know how to dress lolita.
Mana is all fine and dandy, but the misconception seems to be Mana wore it- there fore it is Lolita. ]:

All Lolita clothes are rediculously overpriced... Some of Mana's things are more expensive, yes ($850 coat, anyone?!) but for the most part his skirts and dresses are just as expensive as Baby or some other popular brand.

Eh? It's $200-$300 a dress...it's like that with most fancy dresses lolita or not. I think they're priced fine...but I guess to some that's high. =/

I've never seen a coat over $400 though really... ^^"

Materials are expensive in Japan, and have you ever made a lolita blouse/dress before and seen how much lace it take? Especially when they use nice venise lace and get it custom made, just that alone costs a lot. And of course the seamstresses need to get paid too and the brand needs to pay the rent for their shop, keep their servers running so their website is up, do advertising campeigns and make a profit! If I go into a high end store in the US , the prices are the same, if not more expenisve. (By high end, I don't even mean super designer x___x the stuff at stores like Urban outfitters are really over priced!)
