Eyes wide, Sangra took a few nervous steps back herself, unsure of what to do when the crab had attempted to snap at Pukka. Even when brave Zulu tried to beat the crab up, Sangra stood, dumbfounded.
"Do they not like us, Papa?" She asked quietly, her eyes never leaving the creature as it scurried its way out of the cave. "We were only trying to be friendly... I don't think Pukka was going to hurt it, were you, Pukka?"
Pakpao held back a grin as she leaned down to comfort her startled foal. All three had much still to learn when it came to life under the sea, but it would be an adventure for all of them. She was surprised that in the end Kuval had been the one to dash out and 'rescue' the little ones... perhaps he was turning out to be far more of a worrywart himself than she had ever imagined him to be.
Putting on a straight face, she addressed the approaching pouting filly. "I thought you were quite brave, Zulu, defending your sister like that. There's just a time and a place for those kinds of things... you'll get the hang of it, I promise, darling."

Pukka sighed lightly as her mother comforted her for a bit. Though she had seen from her little safe spot Zulu's actions and was curious as to why their father had told her not to. The thing tried to bite her nose!
"No." She replied quietly to her sister. "I was just curious and it was being mean." The filly hid her face slightly behind Pakpao's leg with a sheepish look on her face. For some reason she had a feeling she'd never live this little experience down if her sisters had a good memory.

Her mother's encouragement was helpful, and Zulu walked up towards Pakpao and plopped down next to her. She seemed to understand what Zulu was doing, and that made Zulu happy! "I will learn and get the hang of it so I can protect all of you, since father doesn't seem to like hurting others."
Sticking her tongue out at him, she also closed one of her eyes playfully and ran behind where Pukka was hiding. Pukka was smart, for picking such a good spot behind their mother's leg!
Kuval raised a brow at Zulu, but then decided to ignore her little comment. She as a crazy little thing, and he would have to teach her how to tone it down some day. "No Sangra.. that crab was probably just nervous I suppose. They have every right to walk through the ocean, just as we do for swimming. You will learn these things as you grow, there are many creatures around us, and we all need to be respectful." With a happy nod, he looked towards Pakpao and nodded kindly. "A good first lesson, I would say!"
