[awakening]
A plant grew in the window. And yet, despite the light that poured through, it looked close to death. What little green there was, was overshadowed by brown and black. Even the most casual observer would realize right away that this plant was poorly cared for. Nearby was a bed. And even though the plant in the window was so ill, the bed was not empty. A form occupied it, covered completely by blankets and shifting at intervals. Proof that this, unlike the plant, still lived strongly.
A dark-skinned hand slipped from the covers, coming into contact with the warming light that spilled over the bed. Fingers gently pressed against the softness that was his pillow, trying idly to wake the mind and recognize this place. A groan sounded from the pile of blankets and the hand curled tighter as a wave of realization washed over the form, sparking his nerves. The pile shifted and began to rose from the bed, slipping away from the boy underneath as he sat upright.
Deep green eyes widened and scanned the room. Something was familiar about it, but he couldn't put his finger on it. This wasn't his room. It wasn't, was it? His gaze landed on the plant in the window. How had it gotten so bad? But... he couldn't remember ever caring for it at all.
Shaking his head, he set his feet on the floor. The coldness tickled at his toes and rose through his legs, but he ignored it, walking over to a small desk that occupied the corner. The light from the window was bright enough to reveal a stack of papers, mostly blank. Still, one in particular caught his eye. Messily scrawled at the top was Tavon, followed by a few unintelligible thoughts which were probably meant to be some sort of writing assignment, but hadn't quite turned out that way.
Picking up the paper, the boy sighed. Doubts about this room washed away. He'd forgotten to do his assignment... Again.

[aim rp, first meeting with Aysel]
to be continued eventually...
Motion. Life called for curved lines, swiftly changing directions. It was, in and of itself, a thing of constant turbulance, constant chaos. However, change had never sat well with Aysel- she had always, it seemed, fought for routine, and simplicity, and reestablishment. So why, then, was it so difficult to sketch something unmoving?
With a sigh, the dark melancholic set down her piece of charcoal and glared hotly at the plant before her. Lilies, she thought with a sigh, were much harder subjects to draw than even the most fidgetey of Empyreans. They did not give her drive to continue...the worry of change or movement at any moment. They just -were-...and what they were was boring. With a frustrated snort, she stood, brushing her hands on her clothing (and leaving fingerprints- a consequence of charcoal drawings) and looking irritably around her. All was quiet today, especially here in the gardens...too quiet for her current frame of mind. Perhaps she would seek out company elsewhere.
The gardens weren’t a place one would normally find Tavon. Plants, despite being a Choleric, didn’t interest him. They couldn’t talk, couldn’t even move without the help of the wind or a passerby’s hand. Being nice to look at was all well and good, but if you couldn’t help society any more than that, then he didn’t deem in necessary to befriend you. Honestly, the only reason he was here was the plant in his window. He couldn’t quite remember why he’d chosen to grow it in the first place, but seeing it so wilted and ill in the sunlight made him feel a bit uneasy. Maybe he could find someone with enough knowledge to tell him what to do. He watered it... maybe once a week. Why wasn’t that enough?
Raising his arms above his head, he stretched, caring little as the leaves of a nearby bush brushed his pant leg. So far there had been no one and no sounds other than the quiet rustle of foliage. As it was turning out, he’d probably have to check back later. Ah, if he remembered. It wasn’t every morning he bothered to look at the plant in the window. But as he let his arms drop forlornly and let out a sigh, he just happened to spot something different through the greens, yellows, and reds. Deep green eyes narrowed happily. “Excuse me?” he called, stepping towards the other’s back and looking a little surprised when she stood.

[guild rp, first meeting with Cyphr]
currently ongoing... Cyphr found himself back in the Arena. He'd had a lot of thinking to do and a lot of new knowledge to think about. He'd recently been acquainted with the principles of the nervous system, circulatory system and Essence, and the whole thing got him thinking about how such knowledge could be used to fix problems people had. Cyphr still hadn't taken too many classes, but he began to see the things he was learning as small pieces of a larger puzzle. It seemed so big to him, he wasn't sure where in that massive puzzle he would fit.
So here he was again, sitting on the empty Arena floor. He'd pulled down one of the first aid kits from the storage cupboards and was slowly going through the contents, carefully inspecting each one. The Arena... It's concept made it seem like a nice, loud place to simply enjoy the company of his fellows. However, this first trip was making Tavon less and less sure of his original idea. The loudest sound was the tap of his boots against the floor. Perhaps he'd picked a bad time to come. Green eyes narrowed as he glanced around the unfamiliar layout. Wandering had found him this far, nothing more. Of course, rather than admitting he was lost in this new place, he pressed onward, sure he would find someone or something to help him out eventually.
A few doors later finally revealed to him what people came here for. The Arena laid itself out before him in a sort of awe inspiring expanse, even though combat wasn't his thing and he was sure he'd never use this field for it's purpose. Distracted by the large new area, he nearly missed the obvious fact that he was no longer alone. Nevertheless, the Choleric's underlying attraction to all things alive and intelligent led him to notice the other boy with his box of... Well, Tavon couldn't see it from where he stood. So naturally, he began towards the other without hesitation.Cyphr unrolled a bundle of gauze and sniffed at it and held it up to the light and rubbed it between fingeres and thumbs. The stuff was a little translucent when he caught the light behind it... Cyphr held it up again and sure enough he could see the Arena panning out before him through the flimsy cloth, the whole Arena and a person coming towards him. Cyphr lowered the gauze slowly, worried at first that perhaps he ought not to be handling the medical supplies. He stared down at his chubby fingers... they were clean enough, weren't they?
Looking up again Cyphr was relieved to see it was no irate Three but a Zero, like him. "Hullo," Cyphr called out to the other, quite forgetting the unsanitary handling of the gauze and supplies. "Whatchu doing?" He asked curiously, seeing the boy had no weapon to practise, and was still dressed in a thick sweater and reinforced pants. Far too heavy and hot for training, Cyphr thought, but then....maybe that was a good way to raise a sweat? Cyphr would have to ask the boy if he got the chance. The actions were watched with quite a bit of interested as he plodded forward. Tavon couldn't help but be curious. The mask of fabric held in the air before his target was eventually recognized as gauze after much squinting and a great reduction of space between them. It clicked. Medical supplies probably. It did make sense. After all, you certainly couldn't have a real match without injuries. He supposed that sometimes sparring matches led to minimal pains sometimes, but he honestly wouldn't know. A friendly smile curled his lips as the smaller boy noticed him. The greeting was something he was happy to accept. It was a good sign.
"Nothing really," he answered, closing the gap between them and taking a seat on the floor, as well. Hands tugged his ankles, pulling his legs crossed. The air he let off was certainly unoffending. Yet, the feeling of openness was more of a front than anything. New friends and allies were important to him, so much so that their opinions and emotions tended to overshadow whatever he happened to be feeling (if that feeling had something to do with anything other than making friends, of course). "What about you?" Looking down, he too examined the medical equipment for a moment. Was it necessary to check the supplies every once in a while? He wouldn't know.
