(( gee, hun. Im sorry about the random bag of bricks in the ay of ur character's escape XDD ))
Before Jessica could actually be emberassed any further, a girl ran up and was immediately caught by the guards.
As the whipping continued, she wasn't sure what to do but before she even thought clearly, she ran up infront of the guards.
The guards didn't stop fast enough as they pushed her to the ground.
Seeing this, the guards immediately realized who she was and stopped to help her up while another one caught the girl.
Jessica tore her arm away from the guard.
"What are you doing?"
She screamed.
"Can't you see she's in pain?"
She was so close to losing her anger, her hair fluttered around her in the lavender scented wind she caused.
"I'm sorry, miss. But we need to take her back."
The guards mumbled all at the same time.
"No you don't."
She replied back as she stood up straight.
Her height was no match compared to the tall guards but she stood her ground.

The tears streamed down her face as she sat up in pain. Her back was welted, bruised and cut. Koori layed there crying. "I-I'm sorry. P-please forgive me ma'am." She bowed to Jessica as a guard started to drag her away.

Another gaurd that had followed the first one recognized Jessica.
"Don't listen to her. I hear her entire family is a disgrace even though she's of high-status."
The other gaurd laughed sinsiterly.
"No one will complain if they never find out. I guess it won't hurt if I punish them both!"
The slave driver got into position to crack the whip on both girls. But it stopped in mid-whip. Marx who blened into the shadows had caught the whip with his bear hands. He growled and beared his long sharp teeth and his claws shredded the whip. Afraid for their lives, the gaurds hurried off quickly.
"There. I just saved both of your asses." Marx started to walk away- he didn't want any more thanks.

She looked at the boy then the girl. Realizing the other was a slave she followed him. She was afraid of the vampire girl. "W-wait. Boy! Please!" She stumbled over the bag of bricks AGAIN.

Her family...lets put this in direct words...works for the 'goverment' and has a high (as in powerful, not rich) ranking.
