Hmmm...a universal language? The only language close to that right now is English. In other countries, they make it so that you have to learn English before you graduate secondary school (high school). A majority of the world population knows it. Or are you talking about love? heart

The probability of that is very slim. But hey, anything can happen

Pm thinks they should have German as a universal language because if memory serves correctly when the states were formed our forefathers had a choice at three languages for these new colonies a more simpler version of British English. French, and German

Yes, Old English is dervived from German, but all romance languages are dervived from Latin. Would it not serve to choose Latin as the universal language or Greek?

I don't really have a religion, but I don't put down anyone who does. I have a friend who's a Mormon, my mom and grandma are Catholics, and a friend who's a Wiccan. I go by Artimisism.
Latin may be a dead language, but it helps if you want to learn another romance language.
Of, course it helps if you can speak it/understand it. xp
(All I can say is "I want a donut" sweatdrop and I'm in Latin III)

Well if youre ever transported back to Ancient Rome at least youll be able to get a donut! rofl
In the Baha'i Faith (religion I was raised in) one of the principles is establishing a universal language and a universal currency.

In Sleep He Sang To Me...
I was baptized Mormon (Yes, they are from Mars YAY Eddie Izard Pun!) But I took it upon myself when I turned 15 to look about at the other ones till I found a special one. At current standings, I'm Celtic, though due to my marriage I'm heading into the Christian religion, which is what a lot of Celtics reverted to.
I know how to speak Latin. I self taught using online translators.
