He sat there and stared at her in shock. Coming back to his senses, he slowly stood up, a smirk on his face. "You want me to cheer up?" he asked playfully as he crouched to the ground in what looked to be ready for a pounce, but instead he reached out his paw and flung some water back at her.

Leini blinked, not especting to be sprayed with watewr at that second. "Heeey!" She almost whined before splashing her brother back. She was preparded to leap back and splash her brother again in defense.
A competative look graced her features amd she just grinned. "I'm get you~" She chimed childishly.

"You're gonna get me, huh?" he chuckled as he tried to duck from the shot, but got sprayed anyway. He frowned and wiped the water from his eyes, an evil smirk coming to his face as he splashed back.

Leini grinned and splashed more water at her brother after completely failing to dodge the water flicked at her. She gave a playful growl and turned, using her front paws to kick water behind her.

"Ack! You win! You win!" Kousai gave a hearty laugh as he was drenched by the onslaught of water. "I give up. Lets call a truce," he smiled at her.

Leini giggled. "Alright then." Her chest pussed smuggly and she basked proudly in her water fighting glory.
Her ears flicked lightly towards the water and she placed her paws back into thw cold water. The night claimed the heat from the liquid. It was perfect.
She let her head dip down and she took a quick drink.
"So you've been out here just...?" She let the question hang thickly in the air.

He gave a small chuckle at the question. "I knew you'd ask that eventually, but Im not even so sure myself. I've been wandering around mainly, but it's kinda like everything was a blur. Do you get what I mean?" He shook his head and plopped down onto the ground. "Probably not, right? You've gone and found yourself someone, while I didn't even have contact with anyone for awhile. You were the smart one."

Leini gave a small frown. "Well, I can't say I was the smart one," She told him. "I left home not even knowing how to hunt!" She exclaimed. It seemed almost an exagurations, even though it was the whole truth.
She gave a small smile. "You'll find someone!" She gave him a hearty grin, to attempt to cheer him up. "You're still young, you have time."

He smiled, encouraged by her words. "I know I will, I just have to go out and meet others first. Not having much contact with anyone doesn't really help much when trying to find a mate, so I'm gonna have to work on that."

"Haha, yeah..." She said with a soft smile. "I don't think being lonely is fun either, is it?" She questioned with a light tilt to her head.
"Though, I suppose living alone has it's beifits. Everything does..."
A child like grin came to the female's face as if she realized something. "How do you think dad's going to react when he finds out he's a grandfather?"
