"We weren't quite aware of that until we were introduced to the unusual abilities so widely spread on earth. It was rather frightening for a war like people, as you can imagine. I admit they acted far more harshly than they should have, though there were other factors involved as well." She paused, and looked up a head. "Is that Ancwalar?!"
Sahira squinted her eyes attempting to define the large form walking in the distance, she also spotted Lucidity's shorter dark figure, and also a shadowy orb behind them. "What in the blazing hell is going on here?!" The idea of people walking in full daylight was akin to people walking around freely in outer space in her mind. It wasn't quite fathomable, even if she was doing it herself.
She gave a sharp whistle, that echoed across the desert. Attempting to get the attention of the others around her.

Alloran chose to help her get their attention. Each of the other three found a stifling chill from the direction of Alloran and Sahira. Nothing special, just a momentary chill to make them look. "Yeah, Earth's damn crazy."

"Crazier than a bunch of squirrels hyped up on coffee and peanuts." Sahira muttered quietly. "I've started to like the earthlings though, they tend to grow on you." She stood still as a marble statue, waiting for the others to come, no twitching or wobbling, her perfect balance leaving her stance absolutely perfect.

Alloran nodded, pulling out his flask, glancing in with a curse. He hadn't kept the heat off of it, and it was lost in the air before he could stop it. "I can see why you don't like it here."

Sahira gave him a sharp look. "I never said I don't like it here. In fact I very much adore this world. Though I would admit it has become less like home for me as time passes."

"I meant your suns, girl. They're warm enough, but unguarded booze is lost. Surprised it didn't blow a hole in my leg." Alloran shrugged, placing the flask back on his hip, waiting.

"Be more specific next time. I'm not a mind reader, though I do know a few." Her gold eyes moved back to the figures in the distance. "So 'sparagus, what has you wound all up to go and save the redhead and her kid? Loyalty to the angel?"

"Damned girl gets in enough trouble, if I'm near 'nough to help, it's easier'n finding the Angel. He's busy with the war an' Krohv."

"There really much of a war anymore? With the loss of the cities, I'd think it would be over by now. But you're right, she does get into a lot of trouble."

After a while, Lucidity found Alloran and Sahira. "Where the ******** did Ancwalar go...?" He muttered as he vanished. He walked up to them and listened to the conversation. Yeah. He did. He listened good.

As Laurel landed near the others, her sphere of darkness opened up like an umbrella, forming a sunshade over all of them. "Alloran, I saw the flare, so I followed you in case you needed help. What's going on...where is this place?"

"They blew up in nuclear bombs. Talk about missing stuff, seriously." Sahira chuckled. "Where've you been man? Drunk in a gutter?"
She gave a nod as Laurel showed up. She remembered Laurel slightly, from her days in Union. Laurel had visited the bar enough times. "This place is my home world. The flare however belonged to the Dragon, it was for my sake, as he was insisting I seek medical help, but as you can see I'm rather chipper at the moment." She glanced up at the sunshade and gave a slight nod of approval, she liked it, but she was sure Alloran probably found it a hindrance. "As of now we're on our way to the cave city up ahead. We're hoping to find Ruby alive and waiting for us, otherwise it will be a long search for charred remains on the desert surface, and a possibly irate angel when we return."

At the mention of a different world, Lucidity made a small "hm" noise. He stopped himself and mentally smacked himself. He then began to wonder why nobody had noticed his footprints. Maybe they were all daft.
