Elandere nodded slightly, "I suppose... though you have done a wonderful job here, Lenora. You have been much more of a help than I."

Lenora raised a brow and shook her head. "A help? No...I've done nothing but bring bad news...." She just realized something...her mind...was silent. The shadows were not whispering in her ear. She looked around and noticed...there were no shadows up here. "It...is so peaceful."

"It is the calm before the storm." Elandere said before looking back to the woman. "Even if you bring bad news, you bring news to those who need it, and that is what helps." looking away, he continued, "Even if they do not see it that way at first."

"Bad news is always hard to accept. There is always a part of you that believes nothing bad can ever happen and when it does...it's like ice water being pourn over your heart. I wish I had some good news...just once."

"You brought the news of Thranduil's arrival here. Surely that was recieved as good news to someone." Elandere replied.

She nodded. "You are right..I'm sure that was good news to some." Lenora smiled softly. "So I guess not all news is bad news."

"Very true." Elandere replied, "In fact, if you recall, Mithrandir has a penchant for bringing bad news. Some people are just choosen to be the bearers of ill tidings more often than not. It has nothing to do ith you. It is simply how things turned out."

"Of course...you are once again correct, Elandere. I just need to be reminded of these things every now and again. " She closed her eyes and listened to the birds sing.

"Doesn't everyone?" he asked, before closing his eyes to the peace around them.

It was so so peaceful...so quite..and she was so tired. Lenora slowly began to fall asleep.

Elandere sat in the silence, letting his mind roam freely as he thought of nothing in particular. He watched a bird as it built it's nest nearby, and a squirrel that was attempting to hide it's horde of nuts. 'Such simple things,' he thought. 'They lead such simple lives...'

The peaceful moment did not carry on into her dreams. She was a little child again..playing in the very garden she is in now. There are two other children playing with her...but the dream would not let her remember their names. The warmth of the bright sunfilled sky began to darken..and the air grew cold. Lenora's parents came from no where and picked her up...telling her they had to leave...they would not tell her why. They left the beautiful elven city for a small wooden cabin in the middle of a dark forest. She had no one to play with..so she made friends with the animals. She cried a lot in those days...and everytime she did..it would snow.
Many years past in this dream...and suddenly she was older. It was her birthday..and her mother was baking a cake for her. There was a sudden scream outside..her father. Lenora ran to the door to see a figure dressed all in black standing over the still form of her father...dead. She couldn't move...the black figure walked to her and grabbed her...she could hear her mother crying. The man in black tied her onto a horse so she could not escape and then he pushed her mother into the house and cast a spell on the door. Lenora could hear her mother banging on the door...throwing things at it..and it would not open. Then the black figure lit the house on fire....Lenora screamed as she heard her mother trying to escape. The man in black just laughed.
Frost tinted tears escaped her closed eyes and her fingers began to twitch.

Elandere suddenly noticed Lenora as she slept. He reached out, taking her hand in his own as he moved closer to her. Leaning near the woman, the Elf spoke calming words, trying to still her frantic dreams. "Sidh, Lenora. It is but a nightmare..." Elandere spoke quitely.

Lenora heard a voice calling to her from beyond. She then realized this was a dream. A dream that would fade as soon as she opened her eyes. She focused on the man in black....trying to see his face, but his back was to her..they were riding. It was no use..she opened her eyes and the dream faded. She blinked away the tears and looks at Elandere...a little embaressed she has fallen asleep. "Elandere..it was so dark...I...can't remember anything."
