Edward blinked confusedly at Terasu, "Eggs? Yeah I guess.." he admitted, nodding in agreement with Lilianna's words. He then frowned a little as he sat and folded his forepaws across his chest, "What do you mean? I always keep my cool." Riiight... He blinked again as Lilianna's head came under his chin and grinned a bit sheepishly. Placing a paw over her neck and shoulders.
However, the news Atae gave him made his jaw drop, before golden eyes turned toward Terasu. "You'e a dad?! Since when!" He didn't know that Terasu had any love interests, let alone looking to become a father. He laughed, "You've gotta be kidding! More little peacocks running around!"

Terasu's gaze flattened at Ed's words. "Sure you are. I just had a sudden urge to give that warning." He couldn't help hesitating when Lily questioned him, and flinching when Atae spoke up. Well, there. It was out....sort of. "I'll speak the rest." It was his duty to anyways. The male breathed out a deep breath, before peering back up to the other couple. "Let's just say, the kids are already teens."
He half smirked, half grimaced to Ed. "Not funny. But yes, only one of them has feathers. And the ouroboros. " Wince.

Atae had a hard time not cringing through Ed's little happy inquiry about how long Terasu had been a dad. It grew more difficult as Terasu went on and then indirectly spilled the beans about who the mother was. When he finally finished speaking she did cringe. She didn't imagine Ed would take this at all well. She was, however, ready to try and help drag him off of Terasu when the probably inevitable explosion of temper arrived.
"There's something else, too..." Dot. Dot. Dot. She wasn't sure if she was going to get a chance to finish telling Ed about the news that she and Terasu were joking about not moments ago. As if he wasn't being thrown for a loop already. Well... they'd both known this wasn't likely to be easy.

Blink blink... It seemed to take a few moments to register. Perhaps he had misheard Terasu, but considering the solemn state of the room, he figured he didn't.
"WHAT?!" His teeth bared and his eyes took on a fiercely angered look. "Did Lust seduce you or something?! What the hell were you thinking?! As if any of those homunculi need to be spreading their damned genes! Envy already has, and look at all the trouble he's caused! Does Setsumi know about this?!"
The teen practicly spazzing as he blew his top, his voice likely being heard all the way back to Trelweny's home.

She snuggled beneath Ed's forepaw, eyes soft in a happy 'i can't believe this is really my life' kind of way. "You're a father, Terasu? Congratulations!"
White and gold tails swayed behind her, happy for the feathered male. So he had found someone to love while they were gone, and they had become pregnant and had kits? That was very happy news.
Then she flinched slightly, eyes crinkling at the soft mention of the ouroboros. Liliana had to search a little to remember... it was not something she thought of long or often, being as it left a dray feeling in her mouth because it related to someone who hurt Edward. Who seemed to want to continue to hurt Edward.
But still...
She jumped at her mate's outburst. Not surprising, really, but it was swift and loud and close to her ears. It took her a moment to calm from that, but somehow she did.
Tenderly Liliana nuzzled against the spazzing & volitile teen, an odd almost otherworldly calm about her. As if she stepped out in this moment of trial and could survey it impassively. It felt odd even to her. But at that moment... all that mattered was Edward.
"Edward... I doubt Setsumi knows. We were with her, remember? If Terasu told her before we left.. well I'm sure she would have wanted to see her grandchildren if she knew of them coming. As for the other, listen to him. I'm sure there's a story, a reason." She did not expect him to hear it all, but hoped perhaps some would get through... that maybe the sound of her voice could calm him a little. Green eyes flicked to Terasu and Atae, pleading for the explanation & information the winged female clearly could not give.

A grateful smile was given to Lily. Well, it was before details, though. Terasu held his stance as Ed bellowed out his shock. It had been expected, of course. One ear teetered down, the other raised high. "Her name is Charity, as you well know. And no, it wasn't seduction. Just a moment for us to finally rationalize past reputations." It's like Charity had said herself; she wasn't her father. And indeed, she wasn't.
His green eyes narrowed at the shorter male, his feathers rupturing in a small tremor. "They're my genes too. I won't tolerate you judging the young before you even know them." If Ed wanted to hold grudges with anyone, he'd match him with butting heads. "And no....mom doesn't know. I need to tell her soon." That was a whole other can of worms.

Edward's ears flpped back and he seemed to calm down as quickly as he exploded. He heard Lily... but he didn't say anything or look at her. His attention was on Terasu. A mix of emotions appearing on his face as he looked at his "brother" in disbelief... shock... hurt. "What?" he choked out in a hoarse whisper.
His face now reflecting his pain as he remembered the only memory of Charity he had. A paw lifting to point at Terasu. "Do you have any idea what she's done?!" his paw then lowered as he clenched them tightly. Lowering his gaze, he grit his teeth, fists shaking. "Now you've gone and eloped with her."
Fiery golden eyes then lifted as he fixed them on his sibling. "Do what you want Terasu, but I won't ever trust her. Especially not after what she's done." Getting up, he heaved a sigh and went for the exit, "See ya."

Charity... The name brought a mix of emotions to rise within Liliana. She was the one the crimson femme had 'talked' with; the one who had taken her shape with Edward to hurt him. But also the one who had made her see... the one who had forced Liliana to face her feelings more than her thoughts and logic. The one whose harsh, uncaring words had brought her to the truth... and to Edward's side in the end.
"Edward...." She flashed Terasu a soft, sad look. Not of apology... she would not apologize for Edward. Especially not when she suspected what he was feeling. Charity had hurt him, posing as her. At a time when he was already hurting from what she had done. "She came on to him... as me... after I had..." Tears glistened in her green eyes, as her voice choked even as she tried to explain to Terasu. Who knew if his mate had told him of that?
Crimson bangs fell across her eyes as she shook her head sadly. It would take time for Edward to come to terms with this, she knew. Herself... she could not dislike the kits for their mother or even grandfather's transgressions. She looked over to Atae, green eyes softly pleading with the empath that she share the feelings with Terasu that Liliana herself could not right now as she turned to join Edward, nuzzling the teen tenderly & wishing she could somehow get him to stay and listen to why. Another flashed glance at Terasu, this one with a trace of tremulous smiled. If he wa happy... she would be happy for him. At least he chose his love and kits. And maybe... maybe Charity actually loved him too. It was more than her sister Ayako had in the father of her kits. Liliana sighed and silently nuzzled her mate again. Edward... Edward don't shut out your family. Please...
Another soft sigh. This would likely take time... Her eyes closed halfway. What could she possibly say to soothe him? "Edward... he's your brother... maybe... hear him out...?"
Her voice was choked, pained. As the look in her eyes, though they displayed her unfaltering love for him in their green depths. She would go with him, always. But Liliana did wish he would listen. And... she had to admit she was curious. Why Charity, Terasu? Why her?

Atae winced at the sudden outpouring of unpleasant and painful emotions filling the room. And what Lily said... Gah. Atae's empathy wore a constant sort of bruise from End's incessantly circling bouts with himself, and while he was starting to heal it was painful. All over painful. And this? Her jaw tensed and she dug her claws into the carpet in an effort to combat what was suddenly a very physical pain on top of an emotional one. She'd tried... so many times... to learn some way to shut it out, but it never worked with people she was close to. And they were the only ones that generally triggered it, so she was at a loss.
"I don't know the details of what Charity did... but I do know that whatever she did was probably for her father's benefit. Honestly, if it wasn't for Terasu, and even still for the most part in spite of him, Charity really doesn't give a flip about the rest of us one way or the other. And before you gripe at me, no, I don't expect that to make it any better, but it's the truth."
She had to grit her teeth for a moment. She didn't know the story behind how they got together, not really, but there was one thing she did know. "And Charity does love Terasu. I'm an empath, so I know that. She has bizarre ways of showing affection, but it's there. You ought to know full well that love isn't exactly a controllable emotion..." She paused and sighed. "I know this isn't going to be easy, guys. I know it's not. But it's happened and we all have to live with it."
Another pause. "And Charity's really not that bad of her own accord. I don't like being linked to Envy, either. I really... don't. And you know I don't just... dislike people." She actually grimaced before she blurted the next part out. "But he seems to have become rather fixed in my life between you, Terasu and... well... like I told Terasu a few minutes ago I found out yesterday that Charity is my cousin. That guy that teaches Lily potions... he's our great grandfather."
She frowned and cracked an eye open. "If you need some time, fine. I hope you don't decide to walk away from us now because of this..." God, she'd missed him and Lily so much already when they were gone, what if Ed did decide to abandon them because he couldn't come to terms with this? "Neither of us have that option Ed, even if we actually wanted to. Please... maybe you can't trust her, maybe you won't like her. I hope maybe you can put up with her... Just don't... leave, ok? And at least give the kids a chance... They're Terasu's too."
She just prayed... fervently... that Ed understood that. And that he knew that neither of his psude-siblings would ever have wanted to hurt him, however indirectly, unintentional, or beyond their control. She had the cap screwed down on her emotional jar pretty tight right now, but even so she was nearly ready to cry. This was bad enough before it got out in the open that Charity had done something to torment Ed during that painful time before Lily had truly discovered who she wanted to choose... Why did life had to throw such wicked curveballs?

Terasu was surprised by Ed's expression. That is, before it turned back into his regular outrage. Of course he could understand, to the degree that they had all knew. Terasu's eyes glazed as he listened out Lily's explanation. He...had been aware, somewhat. But Charity had promised him that Ed was, in the very least, was alive somewhere. Still, that was no decent explanation for anything.
The male held his tongue, finding it better to let Lily reason things out. At least quell Ed's temper with her company and words. He sighed and turned his head to Atae, brow raising as he caught her features. She was straining too, even though she could easily wait out the encounter in another room. His maw fell in a soft smile, glad and saddened by her comfort. He reached for her shoulder with a nod. "Don't push yourself." What with that whole empathy stuff; it wouldn't be necessary.
Slowly, he peered back to Ed and Lily. Eyes narrowed, but without anger, as he stood and paced up to them. A paw on the tail would be enough to halt the "brother". "Listen, I'm not going to apologize for what I did. That'd be a lie to everyone. But I will explain as best I can. Will you just pause enough to hear it out?"

Atae's words were mostly ignored by the stubborn alchemist, he paused only to look at Lily and frown lightly. Still, he didn't say anything, until he finally turned and stared hard at Atae, "I don't give a crap about Terasu's kids!" he made an odd face as that somewhat came out wrong. What he meant is that he didn't care who they were. "Its their -mom- I don't like! And you weren't there!" Huff.
However, with Terasu's paw on his tail, Edward's displeased expression was suddenly turned on him. Ears folded back and the teen sighed as he was asked to hear him out. Terasu wasn't his -real- brother... but he did make a promise to Setsumi. He wasn't the type to just up and abandon those he cared for. He might sulk for awhile, but they couldn't get rid of him that easily. Edward shoved Terasu's paw off his tail and sat, "Fine..." he relented. Brows furrowed as he waited for whatever his "brother" had to say.

Well, at least Charity loved him. That was something at least. And the kits... well it was clear Terasu cared deeply for his kits. It was good to hear him stick up for them.
Wait... both Atae and Charity were related to Severus Snape? That was indeed news. Liliana knew the potions master had both been prolific and that his descendents were many but had never stopped to think about how that might effect her life other than that there were high chances of meeting those related to him. As Atae's words clearly proved. Here she had met two... and never even knew it.
But she had little time to think on that now. Perhaps later, when things were calmed, the two girls could get together and discuss that information et nauseum (sp) with laughter and giggles. With the others too, if they were amiable. But now...
Edward's frown crushed her painfully inside and her wings which had been folded gently upon her back sagged slightly along her body with the soft whimper that escaped her. Why the frown? For wanting him to listen? Liliana was not the reader of body language her brother was. Even, apparantly, with Edward.
Gold tipped ears fell and flattened at his outburst about the kits, her whimper silent though her body gave the movement of it. Surely he couldn not mean...? Her eyes closed with almost aching relief as she read his face and Edward amended his harsh words. Worldlessly Liliana turned and curled comfortingly around the alchemist, head resting tenderly on his paws, tails wrapping around the other side of him and very lightly weaving with the tips of his own. Softly, Liliana raised her eyes to Terasu, the look behind them needing no telepathy to read. Just the truth.

Atae was shaking from the strain of keeping the outside emotions separate from her own by this point. She gave a strained half-grin, half-grimace to Terasu at his order not to overdo it, and after he'd approached Terasu she made sure she caught Lily's eye and motioned toward the kitchen. Close enough if she was needed, far enough she could maybe sort herself out a bit. The rest of this conversation was beyong her ability to offer any explanations or reasons and at the moment she felt it would be best to extricate herself from the maelstrom.

Terasu snarled, feeling the blow of Ed's words. He didn't care if they came out wrong, they came out as a true enough spit. Idiot, blurting out in his temper. When Ed pushed his paw away, he removed it as if it was a burn. The feathered male glanced away, trying to temper his own anger. It wasn't easy.
He noticed Atae head away, and the waiting quiet seemed so loud. His own ears were drumming. Or was he just imagining it? "You don't think I considered all the drama? Explanations and emotions. Of course I did, just because of who the strings were tied to." If it had been any other kitsu, then no issues would arrive. But...it wasn't just another kitsu. So what, he had to limit himself just because of another's viewpoints. Terasu glared back at Ed. "I looked beyond the tattoo, alright? All you seem concerned about is the equation. There is a character behind it you know. I...just...found someone, alright? Instead of continuing the attitude given to humunculous, I tried showing affection. I began treating her like any girl should feel." It was so hard, to describe the outcome. The emotions just didn't line up with the logic, but did that matter?
The male sighed and tried to rub away his migraine. "Look, I'm not asking you to face Charity. That's your decision, not something I can force on you. You can only lead a horse to water, as they say." Or donkeys, in this case. "But I do ask that you accept the kids. It's not right to look them in the eye and simply hate them. Besides, I was hoping to ask you..."

Edward sighed... looking somewhat ashamed of himself as he listened. His temper always seemed to get the best of him, caused him to act before he really thought things through.
"Look... I'm sorry." There was no need for excuses, so he didn't give any. "I don't hate your kids, and I don't hate you." He couldn't really say for Charity though, he was a long ways away from forgiving her. "Heh... we're brothers right? Can't let something like this get in the way."
Edward managed a weak smile, also glancing at Lilianna... glad for her presence. However, he blinked once at Terasu. "Ask me what?"
