@Daxelman's post: stare

So, which game do you think will make the best movie?

Considering how Metroid's franchise goes, they would obviously have to start with 1, but which game will make the best movie?

I think it's obvious that MP3 would make the best movie. Can you imagine them trying to make a movie out of any of the others? No dialogue, no characters, no plot. Just action sequences.... Hey, actually, that sounds like it could be awesome!

@Ace Paladin: Jessica Alba, while hot, is not a good match for Samus. To happy.

That's why I said [/fail]. I was making a pun how her acting doesn't always fit the character... but they'll pick her anyway because she's attractive. It a shame how a hot Mexican gets type casted as a hot Caucasian blonde chick... all the time. xD

@Wii4Mii/Avris -

The don't have to make a movie of a videogame to make a Samus/Metriod Prime Movie. Look at the Resident Evil Movies. They're based off Resident Evil, but it's not like they made a movie of a particular game. They just made their own movie about an episode in the RE world... adding some RE elements, character, etc.

In which case the Metroid movie would be severely loathed by the Metroid fanbase because it wouldn't be "canon."

If it's not made from a specific game, or they create their own character....or even stray off the path in the slightest, the fanbase will be like "OMG111 DATZ NOT WHAT HAPPENZ1Q111"

So, what, we just come up with a random plot?

I have an idea! Samus is sent on a mission by the Galactic Federation to take out a Space Pirate Frigate. When she destroys it, she sees the Frigate fall down to the small planet below it. The Planet explodes, and Samus manages to escape in her gunship in time. Samus, ready to contact the Federation, telling them Mission Accomplished, dials their radio frequency and overhears their plan before she can talk. "With that planet out of the way, there's nothing standing in our way of building a highway to the Kalandor region. Our profits will skyrocket!" Samus replied by saying "You bastards." and closed the frequency.

Refusing to collect her bounty, Samus spends the rest of the time listening in on the Federation's plans and wiping out whatever the Federation has to build this highway, making her an enemy of a government she once trusted.

But eventually Samus is faced with two enemies, seeing as the Pirates were aching for revenge over their lost frigate...

If it were part of the storyline, like a follow-up to Fusion, it would take a SERIOUS turn in the series.

Why would there be a huge turn in the series? Prime 3 is the third and final game in the Prime series.

No, this would be a follow-up to Fusion. This plot shows Samus becoming an enemy of the Federation. So instead of working alongside them, she's now a criminal.

I don't know, it sounds stupid but I've always wanted a Metroid game where we're fighting the Federation.

I know....

What about the RE fanbase?

What about the FF fanbase with the FF movies? What was the reception of those?

They hated Sprits with in and then had an orgasm watching Advent Children.

RE fanbase, though the movies were alright in my opinion, didn't like it. The main character, Alice, was a made especially for the movie... and seemed stronger than/mary-sue-ish to the actual RE characters, when they appeared in the second RE movie.

As for the FF movies... the first one wasn't widely accepted. It didn't really have anything to do with the Final Fantasy universe... except for a thing or two. Everything else was Sci-Fi based.

As for Advent Children, they loved it. I don't know whether it was because it was based off of FFVII or the fact that they made a sequel of an actual game and didn't stray off the path in the slightest (i.e. my point in my first post).

And for the record, I wasn't attacking the Metriod fanbase. It happens with every video-game movie. If it's not EXACTLY how they want it to be or pictured it, fans get their panties in a bunch.

A lot of people didn't care for the story or whatnot in FFVII AC. They were just happy it was based on FFVII and watched it for the action scenes.
