The mare felt powerless, the little lioness seemed so sad, she guessed like Xantir there were some things in her past which made it like this. She looked at Amal leaving. "I hope you will feel better, you sure you don't need anything ?" Then she felt better when Xantir nuzzled her. "I hope she will not dislike me because we don't have child."
Reno just made a move to show he will keep them for following. He was not talkative so it was his way to act.

"She's won't..."He said allowing his legs to fold under his weight as he lay beside Aeris laying his head across her. "She's not used to people being kind for no reason or love for that matter." He sighed letting his breath rustle Aeris' mane. "She'll come back before to long, she just needs some time to think." Though his words were mostly to comfort his mate they also served to reassure himself. He figured the cat would come back to him but he couldn't be sure. Making a note to himself to go find the lioness if too much time passed he sat up.
"Your two-legger..."He began unsure of how to bring it up. The last time he had met the human it was to ask for a teepee just for Aeris and himself so they could be together. It would allow Aeris to be comfortably close to her friends and for Xantir it was far enough away from the large teepees that frightened him. He had Dark scout every now and then for signs of one being erected but so far there were no signs. "...is she planning on fixing us a teepee still?" He was afraid that he was being a bit blunt but it mattered to him. There was of course the possibility that it was simply hidden from prying eyes but he had to be sure.

"Alright" she gave back all the affectionate move to Xantir. She felt so good when he was here. Reno decided to let them alone, now the lioness was gone. He left softly. "My two-legger ? Oh yeh, i'm stupid, you didn't see it yet. Sorry Xantir, i was distracted. Come with me." she stood up quickly and waited for him to do the same. "She put it near the entry of the forrest, the other side of were we are actually."

Xantir's ears perked suddenly at the good news. He really hadn't expected them to get one. Being the slight cynic that he was he assumed that the human was simply agreeing to pacify the pair. His heart was soaring so the stallion was hardly surprised when he was on his feet and beside the clothed mare. "You're not stupid, it's easy to be forgetful. Shall we go?" Though the striped stallion tried to hide it there was no mistaking the excitement in his voice. He was so eager to see where his new home with his beautiful mate would be that he forgot that should his feline friend return that she would return to this spot.

She smiled, he was apparently as happy as she was when she saw it the first time. "Yes we go". She started walking then she stopped suddenly. "A moment Xantir, we should ask Reno to stay here if Amal come back, if not she may leave again."
She walked in the direction were the raccoon went. She found him quickly eating berries in the nearly wood. "Reno can you stay here looking for Amal return and bring her hime when she come back please ?"
The little raccoon nodded in agreement.
"We can go now Xanny..." she winked and waited for him.

It felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He didn't have to worry about his little friend anymore. Aeris was smart, much smarter then he was. He'd forgotten about the little raccoon completely though that could have just been that Aeris knew the familiar well, and Xantir didn't.
'Xanny.' He stared at the clothed mare for a moment before he really realized she was talking to him. He made a mental note to curse the cat later for giving him a nickname. Though, it sounded rather cute when Aeris said it, not taunting as it had originated, maybe he wouldn't scold her after all. Picking up his feet he trotted over to Aeris giving a little nod to the raccoon. "Thank you. Lead the way?" He had turned back to the mare and was eagerly awaiting there trip.

She smiled, looking at the scene. Then she started walking towards the teepee. "You will see it's awesome, it's not big, but it will be enough for the two of us and.... child if we have some one day." She blushed saying it. Did Xantir will be happy to have child with her ? He didn't have an easy childhood, maybe he didn't want to remember it with babies.

"A child?" He asked looking slightly startled. He wondered vaguely if Amal had planted the idea in her mind or if the thought had been there from the start. He quickly decided that where the idea had come from didn't truly matter. All the mattered was that she wanted children, but did he?
He walked on in silence a look of contemplation spread across his face as though he were studying the ground. He had seen the evils of the world but he had also seen the light. Children were wonderful but they had always come at a price. The mother's sanity or the father's or worse their mother's blood. Things were not as bad in the Kawani's lands but he had heard whispers of mares being tattered and torn both mentally and physically to have foals of their own.
The thought made him shudder. He did not wish any harm to come to the mare beside him. She had asked him, he reminded himself, that meant she wanted them. That she was willing to forego herself for their benefit and he wasn't sure he was willing to let her. "Are you sure you want children?" He asked worry seeping into his usually sturdy voice.

Apparently the meaning of child made Xantir thought a lot like she expected. She got an easy life, and she didn't knew if she was ready or not, just seeing Hedwig babies made her wondered if she would have some one day. "I don't know Xantir, maybe. You know i educate Anshu, and i see Hedwig so full of love with her babies. But if you don't want child i'm alright with it too." she smiled to him to confort him, he didn't needed to worry.

The look on her face made his heart ache slightly. He couldn't tell if she was just thinking or if he had truly hurt her with his words. "But I do want children!" He said quite suddenly coming to an abrupt stop facing her. At that point he regretted speaking. Would she think that he was pressuring her to have children? He didn't want that, that could break her.
Sadly he bowed his head and scuffed his foot in the dirt a bit. "I mean...forget what I said..." He turned around knowing that telling Aeris to simply forget would never work. He let his eyes wander over himself stopping on the spikes jutting from his ankles. There had never been any blood on them, he had refused to participate in 'training' to avoid it, now it seemed there was no way around it.
"I...don't want to hurt you..."He said lifting his head slowly still refusing to face her. "I've seen how things can go wrong and I wouldn't want anything like it to happen to you...ever."

Aeris felt her heart bumping in her chest when Xantir said he wanted child. But she didn't said a word, she knew him, and she knew this look in his eyes, the look of the past. She listenned to him carefully because he gave her his feelings right now.
Slowly she moved towards him, with her eyes full of love. She rubbed her nose towards his neck softly. "Xantir, thank you." She looked at him with a smile. "I'm sure if we have child one day nothing bad will happen to me, because it will be with you. " She looked at his spikes. "Your past is a part of you, but the futur will be beautiful from now, i promise you, i will never let something sad happen to you."

A normaly strong heart fluttered in his chest at her smile. How could she always be so understanding with him? He wasn't as strong as was expected of a stallion from their first days. How did she still look to him as though he were and how was she so sure nothing bad would happen? The strength he lacked could make all the difference between having a perfect birthing and loosing both the foals and his beloved. "How can you be so sure?" He asked the torment in his mind seeping into his voice. "Aeris, the past in me is what I'm afraid will hurt you." His almost glowing green eyes glanced back to the spikes before returning to meet Aeris' own. Those ghastly spikes caused so many problems, he wished he could just tear them out but that would result in him never walking again. "And if they do...my future will be grim. worse then anything you can ever imagine..."

Aeris looked deeply in his eyes, she hoped she will be able one day to heal these damage in his heart. "Xantir, dear, my beloved Xantir. You know sometimes you beleive in things without knowing why. I can tell deeply in my heart that the day we have childs, it will be the most beautiful day of my life, and even if there is clouds hiding the sun, it will not change."
She looked the sky then turned back at Xantir. "You're strong Xantir, your heart is strong, much stronger than the sadness of your past. And i'm strong too, i'm sure i will not be hurt. You know, my best friend Hedwig got child with the stallion she loved, but they aren't mate, and probably will never be. She was anxious he may not accept the babies. But everything went well, and now she had three wonderfull child."
She took her breath. "I may never be able to heal your ankle, but those spike sort of made you who you are, and you will be able, because you learn such sad things, to teach our children all the beautiful things which exist. Trust me Xantir" she nuzzled him softly, with all her love.

Her words pierced through his soul and straight into his heart. He felt like he was shaking but the world was steady so it must have been entirely internal. She had such faith in him and everything around them that there would be a happy ending. No. Not just that there would be a happy ending. she was sure that theirs would be the happy ending as her friends had been. He still wasn't sure.
He wasn't sure, but he would feed off her strength and make himself sure.
"Aeris..."He said softly returning her touch with his own rubbing against her neck. "I can't pretend that I believe you...not fully at least." He paused for a moment searching for the right words. How could he let her know he understood? The words were dancing about on his tongue but they didn't seem to want to escape into the warm air. "Yet still...I...I trust you. If you think...that we should have children and that you will be perfectly safe...then I think...I would...like little ones..." His last three words he muttered out not sure if they should have been said or not.

Aeris softly smiled, nuzzled him, like soft kiss. "I know, i understand Xantir, thank you" the air was all full of feelings right now it was almost like it was possible to touch it.
"You make me the happiest mare of the world Xantir, thank you so much. I love you, you know, and we will try, but even if we don't have child i will still be the happiest by your side."
As they talked they arrived at their home without realised it. A tiny teepee, big enough for the two of them and not too close or too far from the forest.
