Bara grinned as her head faced back, not looking ahead. She jeered as she galloped along, unknowing of what was ahead. She made sure to keep the stallion in her gaze, not wanting him to sneak up on her unexpectedly.

As she looked back at him, he grinned even wider. Not too far ahead was an enclave of trees that created a kind of wall where they gathered. If she headed in that direction she'd be trapped and he could tag her with ease.

Bara gave a small frown. He wasn't gaining on her, so why was he smiling? She kept going at that speed, and soon was caught in the wall of trees. She cursed and tried to find a way around him.

Yiska laughed as she had run right into his trap. As she tried to get around him, he moved to keep her from getting away. And with one quick tap on her muzzle with his own he gave her a cheeky grin. "Your it!"
Turning on his heels, he took off like lightening in the opposite direction.

Bara then knew why he hadn't tried to catch her before as she took off, chasing after him. She halted quickly and looked around. If she went through the trees, she could probably surprise him. She grinned and slipped silently into the trees, far enough so that he couldn't hear her, and near enough so that she could see him.

Having taken off pretty fast, Yiska didn't notice that Bara had slipped into the trees. At least until he turned his head over his shoulder and didn't see her following him. Slowing down to a trot, he was soon prancing in place. Wondering if he had run away too fast and she had gotten lost?
Couldn't be. He wasn't that fast. Was he?
Taking a few tentative steps back the way he came, he looked and listened. Waiting. Perhaps it was just a trick. But then again, the mare did seem to be a bit flighty.

Grinning, Bara saw her chance to get him back. She leaned back and launched herself over the bushes, nearly colliding with Yiska, tagging him with her nose.
"Gotcha!" She yelled. She laid down. "I'm tired!" She said. "You put up a good run."
