Living Disappointments Does the question mark in the first equation apply to the question marks in the second equation? I was wondering this too

This is what I think the answer is:
Ok, well so far I've only been able to simplify it:
H+5-->x2
I can show my work if you want me to.
By the way: it's not 42 is it....? *Half Serious*

-Wait. I was told '^' meant multiply. D: Now I'm confused because '*' is also used as multiply...right?! >__<;; No. '^' means 'to the power of'. So, it'd be like '2^2', which is 'Two to the power of two', or 'Two squared'.
