Grendizer Violent Talker Grendizer Violent Talker which you guys think is better the OVA or the tv remake? I haven't watch any of it but I was thinking of getting it I don't know about the TV series except that it's supposed to follow the manga more closely (or so I've heard). I only watched the OVA and can honestly say it was great to watch. The movie as well. I didn't like the adventures of the mini-goddesses though. oh well is mini-goddesses important to the story line? No, it's not (or not that I could see - no real relevance). But then, I only watched an episode or two and it's more of a 'poke fun' type of thing. I never was interested in it, so I didn't really bother with it. oh alright I might get it december or new years eve

KirliaEmi It starts with Keiichi Morisato making a phone call for pizza (I think) and then getting the Goddess Hotline instead. Belldandy, a first class goddess, comes downs to earth to grant Keiichi a wish. He wishes that someone like her (Belldandy) would stay with him forever. The wish is granted and then the series goes on about them together with Belldandy's sisters, Urd and Skuld. That's as simple as I can get. I know there's a lot more that I'm probably leaving out. sweatdrop It's a little religious in general, I guess, and based on Norse mythology. thank you for explaining, it sounds really good!!! i must buy the manga!!! scream

I think the OVA was 'loosely' based on the manga and had a feel of being a seperate story altogether. I can't recall the manga explaining the actual connection between Belldandy and Keiichi. I think the OVA was the only thing that actually explained the connection. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I stored all my copies away and now can't find them ever since the move (I still have ALOT of stuff to go through).

AMG's manga version makes Naruto's manga look like a one-shot. lol
I've seen the series, it's fun and there's enough crazy going to keep anyone entertained.
Though, frankly, I like the YuGiOh version of the three goddesses better. At least their looks.
But overally, they're damn hot for a trio of Furies (let's see if any fan figures that out. razz )

And the goddesses from Ah! Megami-sama are actually based on the Norn, the beings who rule over fate in the Norse mythology (and are actually named Uror, Veroandi and Skul) and take care of Yggdrasil, the tree of life. If anything, their greek equivalent would be the Fates, not the Furies (*is obsessed with ancient mythology*)

Furies, Fates and the trio in AMG (who are, yes, based in nordic deities,) are the same thing. Religions love to rip each other off, anyway.

I look a lot like Clow Reed from Card Captor Sakura, but I'm not going to start to act like him just because of that. Still, I know the feeling, I've dated some crazies back in the day... Don't worry, they either grow out of it, or jump from "I look like" to "I look like" all the time. Either ways, you're in for a lot of fun.
The mini-goddesses series is one thing to watch, too... Takes the show and makes fun of it in many ways. Self-parody is one of the best ways of showing the world you know what you're doing, IMO.
