"I'm sorry... but... this is Botany. Creature Taming/Management, or CTM as it is called by most, is downstairs. Its near the door to the restrooms. Here's my spare map. It has every classroom and pathway listed. I must be going now. Goodbye."

The lights in the CTM classroom were low, in fact, more than low. The lights overhead actually seemed to be eminating darkness. The windows were covered, and there was almost now light in the room, not even from the moon outside. Then, in a thick Transylvannian accent someone said, "Finally... I have the chance to meet you. The time spent waiting has really... whet my appetite." Whatever had said it lunged at Remix, its eyes glowing bright red, looking ready to kill...

"Ouch!" came a cry from the dark, the creature had seemed to drop its accent with the blow. "Hey, watch how you handle those things! Hehe... I've got enough trouble from the creatures themselves!" The room lightened up a bit, and as it did, the creature had turned out to be Kezier. "Heh, you take action. Good reflexes. That'll help you in this class... I bring in some of the meanest things you'll ever see. My class is one of the most dangerous, life-threatening in this school. You see, those who don't pass, don't live. But, enough about that! Class doesn't start until tomorrow, no other students have arrived. So, go back to your dorm, get it fixed up the way you like it. I don't have a girls' dorm roster, so I don't know who'll be your bunk mate. Oh, and, get a good sleep before class. I can't teach during the day, and even with all the reverse lights and windows covers, I can't keep out all the sun. So... be prepared to pull an all-nighter. I have to go. Gotta get to the dorm room before sun-rise, heh!" He ran off, waving behind him as his trenchcoat seemed to form a wing-like shape before returning to the fabric-like consistency. Kez disappeared out the door, without saying anything else that entire night.

Kez awoke from his day-time slumber, yawned a bit, then jumped down to the floor below. "Hmm... I wonder if any more students have arrived yet... Oh well. I told Remix class would start today, and today it shall!" After this valiant speech, he ran out of the dorm and across the grounds to the main building, and straight into his classroom.

Kez hears the door open, but keeps working on his paperwork. "Good night Remix! Did you get a good rest before class?" He hands her a paper, "You need to read over this. It's your legal responsibility waiver. Basically, you signing this, let's you take this class. If you do sign it, you get your right to sue for injury or death, taken away from you, at least... for this class. If you don't sign, you don't take the class. Got it?"

Kez notices anxiousness. "Yes, yes. Hehe, we're gonna start now. Though, we are starting small," Here, he opens up his trenchcoat and pulls out Duspear, "This, is called a familiar. It stays with you always. It helps you, it defends you, it serves you. Eventually, we'll get to familiars, but for now, you'll be testing your fighting skills. This is so I can assess your senses in the heat of battle. One rule, you have to stay in a humanoid form. Other than that, go nuts. Just, try not to bust up the room any more than it is."

"Heh, but its big enough for Duspear..." Kez ended the sentence in an almost somber tone. He held up Duspear a bit then put him close enought to whisper to and said, "Espiranto." As soon as the word was finish, Duspear became seemingly paralyzed, and Kezier dropped him like a molten rock. Duspear plummeted, but as he was about to hit the ground shot up, and began to transform. "This, is what you'll be fighting. Don't worry, he's not allowed to kill you, but don't think he'll let up just because he hurts you." Soon, Duspear was at least 9 feet tall, big, but still not big enough to hit the ceiling. His fur seemed to retreat inside his skin, which became gray, translucent, and slightly leathery. His wings grew as well, large enough for them to drag on the ground even as tall as he had become. Duspear's legs were larger, but in proportion to his wings, miniscule. He seemed to become thinner with each second, until finally, he stopped. Then, he roared a roar that only a vampyric bat can, one that if sounded, surely means, it's playing to win.
