Alas' blue eyes widened startled a land so plentiful that meat laid around like a feast? She was very careful with when and where she hunted and how much she ate. She had to wandering place to place required muscle not a buldge of fat hanging heavy to slow her down and tire her out. It was however a comfort to know she wasnt entering a land of strife no bickering over choice bits of meat.
"Are there any pups?" her tail wavered joyfully at the thought she loved pups, their innocence, the joy of teaching them new wonders in the world.
It seemed if there were any they might need a lesson in not leaving waste, surely there was plenty food now, but if dead animals littered the area the others would get the idea and vacate quick enough.

She watched the other expression as she seamed to be coated with a slight layer of disgust at all the animals that where laying around. Maybe had seen been another wolf she would have cared more about the lower creatures. For awhile she even considered Algoma that because she wasn't a wolf. But after proving herself she was even more of a wolf then some she knew. Nodding she seamed to keep her feeling about killing to herself. She didn't much gather the other would enjoy a leader who killed for the shear pleasure of ending another creature's life.
"Of course there are pups. Larka is one of them. Though we will be joined by other youngsters very soon."
She refered to Colorado who she despritly needed to find. She had little faith that her pink friend had survived this long because his colors had been so vibrant.
"You and her shall get along swimmingly."
That brought her back to the obsession with fish. What is it with he and those little beasts? Prehaps this was some weird connection because of her ocean-like pelt. But they seamed attracted, to her almost.
Really Twist they aren't worth thinking about that much...

Libenalas seemed startled once more, the talented hunter was a pup? What about the adults, werent they normally the high ranked ones how very odd. She pondered the question for a moment before she glanced at Twist curiously,
"How many are there in your pack? Adults?"
Her head tilted inquiringly as she watched Twists expression to see what she could read.

That she actully couldn't catch the chuckle before it sprayed out of her mouth like acidic laughter. Oh that was rich. She thought aimlessly to herself. She actully didn't have a single adult member except for herself and Algoma. And in the wolf world she didn't count because she was a lynx.
"None. Everyone in the pack is a pup or a secondary species."
Again a slight snicker spread over her maw. Oh she could see that war now. Ano's trained army agaist some rugged little puppies and an adult lynx. Again that was a rich thought. She's protect her pack to the death- but she couldn't see her life span being all that long with the memebers she seamed to be collecting. Yes they were all loyal but none of them would stand up to the snapping jaws of a single adult.
"Funny isn't it?"
She seamed to add- the other probally thought she had been a great ruler of a large number of adults. Instead she'd be shocked to find out that she was almost a fraud with those who followed her. Alpha's were not trailed by pups and lynx's- at least not the good ones.

Libenalas was shocked completely shocked, she expected the answer to be one or two but not none. She had only ever had a breif moment with a squirrel so she couldn't judge on another species but still.
She looked at Twist seriously. "I don't see it exactly a laughing matter...as an Alpha raising pups alone your putting things in jeopardy, and despite having abundant lands you don't seem too worried about wasting today be danmed tomorrow." She shook her head. She might be a wanderer but she was going to put her two cents in even if it meant the alpha chased her off. What she hoped for though was that Twist would let her try and help, for starters as an adult member she might be able to curb any bad habits the pups had, and then head out and try and recruit some more adults.
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean for that to sound so harsh...it just...worries me. I'm sure you think thats silly after all I'm not even part of your pack, but...I would like to be, I would like to help, I've spent a long time wandering and I would wander a little more to gather up members and help solidify things, at least for the pups sake so they have rolemodels." She waited hopefully for Twists response.

"Well they have me..."
She piped back in responce about role models. She had taught them how to hunt, how to hide, and most importantly how to think on ones paws. She knew that alone would keep them alive. Not to mention none of the pups really left the safty of the dens. And unless you were a skilled climber you weren't getting up there without at least one memeber sounding the alarm. Twist piffed sounding somewhat insulted that the other lacked faith in her parenting skills.
"You may be right- they may need more protection. But I taught them well how to and how to survive if others scoued our packlands...Hence forth another reason why I left so many carasses across the territory. Who wants the challenge of catching a pup when you have a fresh gift lying right there infront of you?"
Twist really did have the all the anwsers, but she still couldn't get over the fact the other was blatently disrespecting her. The others memebers she already scouted looked up to her; obeyed her, worshiped her. Heh, she was a god in her own mind.
"Fine you want the job watching the pups- then it's yours. Your now offically a memeber of my pack...but for your own sake-"
She added on quickly and abruptly still fustrated slighty the other didn't see her as godly.
"Don't put down my pack- your pack."
She strained the words so that the other could quite clearly understand her annoyance. She would have to watch this one and see where it went. Though- she paused in her own mind rethinking it over. It might be better for Larka to have somebody who was more level headed as a role model.
"Just make sure Larka stay's safe. I don't want anything happening to her."

Libenalas cleared her throat. "I'm sure your a very good rolemodel but if they only have you then won't they all eventually want to lead like you? It'll only create turmoil later on..."
She found that Twist seemed to be in need of teaching as well, but she would have to be subtle. "And as for leaving food lying around, if another animal comes across it thats only a warning to stay away and get away. If another pack comes across it its a flash that we have food to spare and to take the land from us." She watched Twist carefully before deciding not to press any further, she wanted to help and if she upset the alpha she wouldn't be able to.
"I'll keep an eye on all the pups...in OUR pack." her tail wavered happily as she gave a friendly glance towards Twist hoping she understood the desire to help.

She supposed the other ment well with her ramblings; but it still didn't help that burden she was feeling on her mind. It was as if her parents were beating her down for her own stupity and indepence. What was wrong with having the world's largest ego?
"Yes very good role model..."
She stoped and half cocked and ear at the other attempting to take a breath to relax. It took little to arouse the stormy wolfs temper. It was if her pelt was a clear warning that she had a short fuse.
"If they want to lead then that is thier choosing- I'd be honered to be allied with thier pack. And if one day they choose to over throw my pack and have me serve them- and they succeded...then it proves I was a good teacher and they retained all the lessons I taught them about indepence and thinking for themselves."
She doubted any of her current members would attempt to over throw her though- Algoma maybe, but she had always been aware of that. Larka was to much of a friend to backstab her; although now the other mentioned it she was becoming slightly more wary of the others memebers.
"Yes it is ours...nothing happens to Larka...nothing at all."
She seamed to repeat it as if there was some sort of urgency in her voice.
"You protect her from everything- even if the threat comes from with in."

Alas looked at Twist worried for a moment before nodding softly deciding not to say anything, it seemed that this alpha was thinking short term, for her own lifetime.
"Don't worry I wouldn't let anything happen to a pup..." She gave a firm nod.
She remained watching her new alpha curious and biting her tounge slowly but surely maybe she could help her see reason, but first thing was first they needed some adult members. Pups learned their place in the scheme of things by the example the pack set for them and the way it looked she and Twist were the examples. That thought wasn't exactly a comfort but she was sure things would work out.

A small smile spread over her maw. It wasn't a big one but it was enough that she was slightly reasured about Larka's well being. Funny she cared so much about something that plain and simply wasn't hers. And she knew from experience she really didn't have a maternal instinct. Algoma reminded her of that the first time they met. She was willing to make slaves of all the pups just to train them to her purpose. Why was Larka any different from those puppies she wanted to brainwash? GAH this was getting to confusing!
"Thats good at least."
She sighed inwardly still being rather young to rule her own pack. Though she had the potential she was still new to the concept. But at least she was trying to learn from her mistakes. Though Alas's idea's irked her about how to raise a pack- she would make more of an effort to listen. Prehaps she knew things that Twist herself didn't- maybe that would actully keep her as leader and have her not get over thrown by the lessers in her pack.
She's prefer to stay queen.

Libenalas relaxed and watched Twist feeling the same maternal instinct she held for almost everyone and everything. She was about to ask Twist how young she herself was, but she didn't want to offend, and least of all did she want Twist to think she was a danger. No that wouldn't do at all, instead she was determined to gently guide the alpha in a higher direction to teach each pup the place to grown into and to protect this little Larka.
She was most curious to meet this pup that so captivated Twist, since the alpha seemed a bit self centered. In time she hoped to show Twist that by caring for the future of the pack the future pack would care for her.
"We should head...home" she smiled.

The stormy wolf nodded. Yes she'd like to go home. To see the ocean kissing the rocky crags off the shore-line. She wanted to see the fimilar seagulls once again and feel the salt air beat on his long wavy fur. Ah there was nothing more plesent then the ocean-side. More invigorating then the tide. Home that was where she wanted to be. The protection of the dark forest was nice- but it couldn't compare to the view on the other side.
"You can climb sheer cliffs right?"
She didn't mean that in jest but more that all the dens were on the side of one of the taller cliffs that over-looked the ocean. Twist's and Larka's caves were near the topmost; since Twist prefered the view, and Larka liked to chase the seagulls. Really the cliffs weren't so bad once you got used to them; but it's the first climb thats the worst and the most dangerous.

Libenalas streached carefully and nodded watching Twist's expression carefully. It was clear to her that the alpha loved her lands and she clearly loved her pack, it was a wonderful sensation to know she would be a part of it. She hoped she could help things run smoother, but first up a cliff.
"I'll manage..." She had climbed steep before but not anything as jagged as a cliff, it was one thing when you had even footing quite another when you had to go at it in leaps and bounds.

"Thats good."
She seamed to say continuing to think about the ocean view. Twist couldn't wait to go and see it agaiin. Even if she had only been away momentarily it seamed to provide her with peace and security on the inside.
"It's this way....when you start smelling salt you know your close."
Frankly that was really all Alas to go on because pretty much all light was cut off to the floor of the forest once they got deeper in. You really had to rely on your other sences then sight. Even though Twist knew the individual smells of the trees as she passed, her new pink gamma probally would not. Snickering inwardly she remeber the first time she found the territory as a pup. She was almost an imatation of Larka smacking head first into a few of the trees. She was really glad nobody had seen that. It would have been pure emarassment on her end.

Libenalas closed her eyes as it went dark in the forest and carefully wound her way in taking note of where things were and scents around her. She brushed a few trees and stopped to rub against them trying to leave a scented path for herself.
"Salt...the den is near the ocean then?" she smiled at that. Twist certainly knew how to pick out territory, fish, meat, the ocean and cliffs as a defense. She could hardly wait to see it all.
