Ola bowled forwards, skidding to a halt a metre from Kalani's nose. She was puffing and panting but she looked far from tired out. She bore her teeth at the female, her eyes fixing upon that unnatural coat. What freak wolf could have created such a creature? She snarled, bristled and spoke to Kalani, her eyes constantly on the blue.
They can't stay here! Drive them away, drive them away! That blue is a bad omen Kalani, she brings with her bad news. Trust me. We cannot let her stay.
She growled and moved to stand by her nephew, growling. Spittle covered her teeth as she snarled again, the fur on her neck standing on end. Foul creature, you'll regret coming here to this sacred land. You'll recieve only curses from her. She lowered and for a moment it seemed she would pounce. It may have been folly for an old wolf to attack such a bulk of a female but there was a loyalty driving her. She was compelled to protect the blessings of her Cerridwen.
But something stopped her in her tracks.
Perhaps surprising himself more than anyone else, Fluke, who had been mostly ignored, appeared into the fray. He bounded between Iphis and the old one, arched his back and snarled himself. He never thought he could do such a thing. Never thought he would dare show any kind of threat to another wolf. But he, in a way, was part of a pack now and he was beginning to understand the fierce loyalty wolves had for one another. He and Iphis travelled, yes, but they stuck together very much like pack wolves would. Besides, though he would never admit it, he always looked up to her, as a mother, a leader, a teacher and an alpha. His respect for Iphis drove him to try to protect her now. Besides, this had been his fault and he wasn't going to lose his friend and guard wolf to this old hag.
His growl turned into words.
Weh dun wan' tah stay! Fluke insisted in the most scariest voice he could conjure. Weh wan' directions! As if words could perhaps help the situation his blabbering continued.
Weh no bad omens. As far as he was concerned, Iphis had brought nothing but good fortune. Weh won' stay, kay? Jes put those teeth away. Now that the adrenaline was wearing off he was beginning to feel scared. His back legs trembled ever-so-slightly and he hoped that no one had noticed.

Kalani was confused, he wanted to help Ola drive them out but then he came up with an idea which wouldn't harm the pack and wouldn't leave the strangers with nothing. He was a big softie sometimes. He didn't want to just send the strangers off to get lost and so he turned back to Ola,
"If you watch them, or I will and one of us go and get Orphen or Yasuo. One of them can't be too far from here. Then they can judge them as they see fit or answer their question." He was being persistent, something he would have never have done before. He had always done exactly what Ola had wanted him to do but now this would be the second thing he wasn't doing. He would talk to her about that later though.

[I hope it was alright for me to post. ^^;]
“No need to,” came a gruff reply from out of a nearby brush. Yasuo leaped from behind the brush and stared at Kalani and Ola for a few moments before diverting his attention towards the two new wolves. “I heard you two from where I was hunting and I came to investigate. It seems I came at the right time.” Lifting his head and tail up high, he gazed first at the black and white wolf before turning it towards the blue femme. He wrinkled his nose slightly, getting a bad memory from before he met Orphen again. It was then that he caught the scent of the male. He smelled slightly familiar, but he didn’t recall ever meeting up with Fluke before. He shrugged it off before narrowing his gaze at the odd femme’s pelt color.
Shaking his head, he took a few steps towards the two new wolves. “The male can stay. I see no reason as to why he cannot join, but he would have to be cleansed for at least an hour in the sacred pool. Who knows what bad luck that blue femme has inflicted upon the poor male.” He shifted his posture so that it was facing the blue femme and he pinned his ears back against his skull. “As for the other one, I will chase her off to make sure that she doesn’t come back.” He bared one sharp fang at the femme, as if warning her to leave before he made her leave.

Iphis' tether was coming to its end. Here she was, in her worst nightmare - surrounded by wolves she didn't know who all looked down on her for her appearance. She didn't know them, even. and here they were judging her by her looks. It had always been this wqay for Iphis, ever since she was young she'd been looked down on, villified and pushed into a pigeonhole because of her looks and steadily it had built in her a temperament to match.
At Fluke's words, she glared around the little gathering.
"I dinnae want tae be in yer bloody precious land!" she shouted, angry, teeth bared. "Ah'm just here tae help him find somebody" she nodded toward Fluke whom they didn't seem to have a problem with. Of course not - he was normal! Well, in looks anyway.
She was feeling surrounded, hemmed in and very much like she would happily get herself away from here as they suggested.

Ola, baring her teeth at Fluke, snapped her eyes from face to face, wondering who would attack first. Her body quivered with anticipation of the fight to come and she nodded at Kalani. In that moment Yasuo arrived and Ola relaxed somewhat, though she was still ready to protect the land she loved.
Thank the moon! Yasuo. We have trespassers. She curled a lip. The blue is a bad omen, Ira. Very bad. Only two days ago, Azmaria told me of a vision. I fear our lands could be in danger. Her hackles fluctuated then smoothed. With her anger tamed the old wolf flared her nostrils and stepped back to give Yasuo room to show his authority here.
Then the blue wolf spoke and her voice was full of anger. Who? She snarled. Who are you looking for?
M-meh moth'r. We'rrr lookin' for ma moth'r Or-Orphen. She coul' be in danger so ah'm tryin' to 'elp. He flattened his ears, moving back to stand beside Iphis. She sounded angry and it scared him but these strange wolves scared him more. Were they going to force him to stay? Force him to leave his friend.
Weh'll go. Dun worry 'bout that. I dun want no troubles. Weh jes wolves like yoo, eh?

Kalani didn't like the idea of a fight but kept his stance though when one of the Alpha's arrived he couldn't help but relax a lot. It meant a fight didn't have to happen, 3 wolves against two weren't great odds. However while they were all talking the strange wolf mentioned his mother and she was...
"Orphen?" Kalani stared at the male for a while confused before turning to Yasuo, surely it was just a coincidence. He wasn't going to say that he knew an Orphen she was Yasuo's mate so he could say something.

"Help him find someone," he said slowly after hearing Iphis speak up. Everyone was looking for someone. Why was this blue femme helping Fluke find someone? Hearing Fluke speak up, he turned his gaze towards the smaller male, one of his ears pricking up at the sound of his mate's name. He shook his head slightly after hearing Kalani repeat the name.
"That is imposible. She is my mate. She couldn't have had any other litters other than the one she is going to have in a few months." That made Yasuo nervous. What if Orphen did have pups before she met him. Narrowing his eyes, he lowered his head down and began to growl at Iphis. "Surely now you don't have to stay since Orphen is in this general area. I suggest you leave without making a ruckus. I don't want to use force." That and I might have to be cleansed after this is over. The male, too, since he came in contact with this cursed femme for far too long.

She was here? Finally they'd come to the end of the line? Could they pass on Fluke's message and go on their way? Would this be the end of it? Hope blossomed and she eyed her small companion. "Fluke, can ye no jus' tell him yer message an' we can bugger off?" it hadn't occured to her that Fluke might go off with them on his own. She hadn't really thought ahead to her future but had not expected Fluke to part company with her any time soon.
It was at times like this, in fact, that one could begin to realise how little of life could be planned for in these woodlands... Iphis wasn't much of a thinker, though, so mostly she concentrated on trying to keep her eyes on four seperate wolves at once.
( Sorry for the short post but it's kinda hard for me to react with Iphis atm ^^; )

Ola stepped forwards, her eyes narrowing at the pair of wolves. This was all rather odd. Fluke was Orphen's son? She raised ehr nose and sniffed, sure enough that familiar scent was there on the wind. Now she knew where she could place it.
Deep down she knew someone should fetch Orphen. What was wrong with the female? Did she not hear her call? The grizzled wolf remained quiet, standing stock stioll beside her alpha. Truly it was the beta's job to protect, but without one in place Ola had adopted the role. Everything good in the pack had happened because of the alphas. If anything happened to Yasuo then it could be a long time before someone came to be Orphen's mate again.
And as for Fluke, he had no intention of staying. He had never gotten on well with his mother and he had found friendship and protection in Iphis now. He pressed himself to the blue wolf, shaking almost uncontrollably. His bravery was gone. Too many strange, angry faces. Too many wolves bigger and stronger than him.
His tail tucked up against his stomach and he crouched, eyeing each of them warily in turn. If they pounced he'd die. He was sure of it.
Then he heard Iphis' words and he nodded. Y-yeh. Uh, ah came to tell--
She had good news! Very good news! Her belly, though not fat, felt different. It squirmed and it felt alive. She was sure this wasn't just her imagination. She was sure of it! She had not heard the warning howl, too busy dabbling over things such as names and lessons she would teach.
She was nearing the little band when she noticed the agitation. She could feel the tension in the air and as she drew nearer she heard a voice that stung her heart.
Fluke.
That scraggly, useless little pup who she'd left to care for himself. He was here? But why? Yasuo was there too and her stomach sunk. Would he hate her now? Hate her for never telling him? Filled with anger and confusion, Orphen dashed forwards, pushing her way between Yasuo and Ola. She pushed right up until she was face to face with her son, their noses almost touching.
So it is you. She growled. What are you doing here? Her eyes leapt up to the blue. Looking for a place for you and your mate to stay? She jeered.
She, Orphen did love Fluke, in fact she cared deeply. Every night she had promised herself that if she saw him again things would be different. But that face, that face looked so much like her horrible mother. The mother who had scarred her muzzle.
She couldn't help it. He brought out those painful memories.
Yasuo... She didn't look at her mate just yet. She didn't want to.

((ok))
Kalani said feeling somewhat awkward. This wasn't a place from him to be, he had done his job by protecting the pack and now the Alphas were here, they could deal with it.
He lowered his head and moved backwards till he was out the way. Then he turned and headed away. That was one awkward meeting!

[sorry about the delay. been pretty busy. ^^;]
yasuo caught his mate's scent before he saw her. A little startled when she pushed by him, he watched her carefully. He was a little unsure about the fact of knowing his own mate, but then again she did have flaws in her past like he had his own past flaws. Was Fluke was of those flaws?
Hearing his name being called, he shook his head as he eyed the blue femme. So, this was Fluke's supposed mate? Yasuo could hardly believe that Fluke would choose a cursed femme as a mate.
Wrinkling his nose, he stood up slowly and bared his fangs at Iphis, as if trying to scare her away.

Stay or go, stay or go? She wanted to g, that was for bloody sure... "Fluke.." was all she said, not sure wether, despite the bared teeth, the warning to go, they were going to let them walk out unaccosted. "Ah don't ken whit's goin' on here but ah want tae get oot a here.." she murmered, quietly. Iphis wasn't a quiet wolf so it showed the level of disquiet she was feeling. She felt rather like a rabbit in a hole with a fox peering in at her - nowhere to go, nowhere to hide, just waiting... waiting...
What she would give now to be back at home, teasing and all... No. That wasn't true. She'd enjoyed her time wandering with Fluke, having a 'mission' and something to do. She wouldn't want to go back to that old life but here she was again being looked down upon, scorned for her looks. Would she ever find somewhere she could just be accepted?

Ola watched the conversation with tired eyes. The adrenaline had begun to leave her and now the old girl felt weak again. She raised her head and turned to watch Kalani leave.
Good idea.
She bowed her head to the alphas, though they seemed focused on what was going on, and moved to follow her nephew. She needed to speak with him anyway and there was no reason for her to stay. It was clear that though the female was blue, she'd soon be on her way. Besides, the damage had already been done, it was up to see if Azmaria's vision would come to reality.
She moved off across the meadow without a word and silent as a phantom.
Fluke nodded. Iphis was right. He could blurt his message and run. There was a chance they could make it to the borders. He wanted to survive. He had always wanted to survive and now that he had a friend and the beginnings of a life he didn't want to give it up.
He had come here to help his mother and this was the thanks he got.
Ah bring news. He replied, choosing to ignore the comment about Iphis being his mate. Perhaps if he kept up that illusion they would let her go. Sah, mo'her yer be'er listen close. He bristled and leaned against Iphis again. Yer demon mo'her is here. She comin' tah get yoo. He growled, actually growled and even from the runty little fleabag it looked menacing. Ah came tah save yer life wif my frie..mate. He corrected, not wanting to look at Iphis for fear of seeing her expression.
See these wounds? He pointed to his side with his nose. She already tried tah kill meh! She tol' meh she was goin' for yoo.
Orphen raised her head and arched her tail in the air. Mother? She spat. I have no mother! She lunged for her son, but paused a metre from his nose, growling and bristling. You lie! And even if you do not, what could an old wolf do to me now?
She turned her head up to the blue and narrowed her eyes. So, this one was her son's mate...
What should she do now?
Orphen wasn't a killer, she couldn't possibly order either of them to their death. But going without punihsment. Our Crone says the blue one will bring danger to the pack. Yasuo... She glanced sidelong at her mate. We cannot let them go until we understand what this curse is. Let's take them to that isolated den for close inspection. She snapped her head around to them again. And if the blue shows any signs of bringing that curse to life... She hovered on the words but couldn't say them. Never the less, everyone knew what she meant.
Orphen hustled forward, determing to shepard them back.
