"As I said. Different upbringings I guess...though I can understand traditional prides, most lions around here just don't, they'd find it strange and wrong. Since we're all brought up to love." Ewan shrugged.
It was true. Love meant a lot to lions in these parts, and they did pair off rather than start up more traditional ones. Two in his family for example - he'd tried to meld love with traditions and ended up falling for what should have been his partner in such a pride, not his love. Nyek, his elder brother, had had a semi traditional pride that was about power and breeding and was considered abborant. Things 'round here where different.

Chipo knew what love was and as far as he knew, all the females did love the king but then maybe things aren't as they seemed. He wasn't bothered, he was willing to live a very strange life at the moment. Maybe he didn't know what love was? That would explain why he had been so confused over these feelings for that female.
"Maybe..." He didn't know quite what else to say. He wanted to keep looking for Mchengo and maybe keep an eye out for this guys sister.

Ewan smiled and looked around again. Hmm, now he had lots on his mind again, wondering about love and prides and whatnot. Still, he didn't regret missing Chipo. Was always interesting hearing a different point of view.
"Well, back to searching for me. Was nice to meet you and I will keep an eye out for your Mchengo. Goodbye, Chipo." He bobbed his head, got to his paws and sstarted on his way once more. Jina was out there somewhere...
