Midori's heart sank. Her father? She hadn't seen Disconium in such a long while, she wasn't exactly sure. Deciding that it was in the best interest of the tiny mare, she fibbed. "Daddy's off looking for some food. I'm sure he'll be back soon so he can meet you." A small, fake smile danced across her face, even though she wanted to frown with guilt.

Unaware of what a lie was, little Ambrosia believed it. Smiling widely at the thought of food, she quickly ran toward the bushes, though it was more like a fast hobble. "Do you think Daddy will like me? What is he like?" She asked, looking back to her dark mother once she reached the bushes.

Holding in a giggle, se replied, "I'm sure that your father will adore you." She had to think for a moment when Ambrosia asked what he was like. "Well, he's not exactly the brightest bulb in the bunch, but he's thoughtful, caring, sweet, and will do anything to make somebody happy. He's got a black coat, gray mane and tail, and the most beautiful wings you'll ever see." She followed the foal and nudged her lightly, still trying to figure out where the armor came from.

The heavily clad foal smiled widely, short tail flicking side to side wildly. She listened intently as her mother explained what her father was like, giving a happily little nicker. She almost toppled over easily, even when just nudged only lightly, still getting used to her legs. Thinking back to what her mother said about her father, she blinked. "If Daddy has wings, how come I don't?" She asked, turning in a circle to try to peer at her sides.

"Well that's simple. I don't have wings, so I guess you got that from me." Squinting from the sunlight, she added, "Though you do have your daddy's gray mane and tail." She felt quite proud of herself for noticing the small similarity.

The young Ambrosia motioned her head as if she was letting out a long 'oh', when her mother told her that she didn't have wings because of her. Now she was curious of her hair color, glancing up to try to see it but not managing to do so. "Oooh, now I really want to meet him. I want to see him now... lets go find him!"

Midori's heart sank. Not only did she not know where Disconium was, but she wasn't exactly sure how to tell him that she was his 'daughter.' "Well... I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try. Come along. We'll find a stream along the way. Surely you're thirsty after being in that basket for all this time?" She walked slowly, looking back every now and then to make sure the tiny Soquili hadn't gotten distracted by something new.

"Yay!" The little filly exclaimed, jumping slightly when her mother said that they could look for her father. She didn't seem to care about what she said about the stream, she was more interested in seeing her father and what he was like. "Daddy first, thirst later!" She told her mother, figuring that she could always get water later as she hobbled after Midori, so determined to see her other parent.
