beadyone Voldemort on a Plane Ahem, Wicca is not a satanic cult. It is a belief in the power of nature and spirit. Sorry but yes it is a satanic cult! As an ex-wiccan, now a born again Christian, I found out it is alot darker the further you go into it. It ultimately leads to a worship of satan as a supreme being. Please do not get caught in it's web as it is harder to leave than most people know. Accept Jesus in your life and you will never regret it!!!! God Bless you!!! I have been a practicing Wiccan for nearly 20 years and I can assure you that there is no Satanic worship as any part of what Wiccans believe or do. I will also point out that it is against the TOS of this board to refer to the religions of others as being Satanic. I regards to the original question, there is no indication that the pentagram as used in modern Paganism is drawn from any ancient Pagan tradition. It appears to be more correctly ascribed to ceremonial magic, and they drew upon Kabbalistic symbols. The Kabbalists likewise drew from Jewish spirituality, which takes us back to the Temple of Solomon. Even amongst Pagan groups the five points of the pentagram have different meanings. For most it represents the five Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit. However, I have seen it used to represent other things as well.

trinity343 actually it was already used for magical symbols before Christians adopted it. just like the trinity symbol was. it just isn't as widely used anymore by Christians b/c of its predominance with demonic cults and such Ya, things change. The swatstika (sp?), for example, used to be a symbol of something good (I forget exactly what--peace, maybe?), and now look at it.

I could elaborate because there are a lot of details, but ... like I said, I don't want to write a book.

Jews don't follow Christ per se, they do believe he was a prophet, but they are certainly not followers of Satan. Same with Taoists or Buddhists, they definitely don't follow Christ, but they don't follow Satan either.

Religions that don't worship Christ do not necessarily worship Satan.
For an example, look at Judaism. They follow our God, but don't believe in Jesus. Are you saying God is Satan?

Zher could i pull off a pentagram as a Christian thing? i really want to wear a pentagram on a shirt unfourtanately, wearing a pentagram almost instantly labels you a cultist. if you want a pent. make sure you have something about christianity on it somewhere, otherwise people will think that you're something you're not.
