Heh, I have nowhere near enough knowledge about the Simpsons to make references to it. And remember that the clue could be pointing to anything. It's the way you read into it that will tell you.
I'll just say I've seen several people who have gotten quite close in some regards.
EDIT: Don't worry Roobarb, getting things wrong is part of the experience. Everyone here (to my knowledge) is new to the game, so it's expected. And you're all doing so well!

This is really confusing...
I don't think we should lynch anyone just quite yet....That could be bad...
I think it would also be best to cut down the chatter. Reading through, I think there is a bit too much going off the wall....Not that I don't like Off the wall...I just don't think its useful to this game...

To me, this almost sounds like a warning. "Be a good mindless drone and follow our/my/his commands....or else"

Blue beam... doesn't that just scream Dalek? Although I can't imagine a Dalek considering anything a "pet"... I may be overanalyzing the pet thing.
Really weird wording on the clue. Why "excellently"? "Perfectly"... makes more sense.

Oh, one more thing before I run off for a bit:
That clue should not be thought of as part of that story. I mean, it's a good idea and all, but the clues won't be considered part of the story. They're just extra, to a) give you something to talk about, and b) perhaps lead you to discover something about one of you.
EDIT: Yeah, I will say for a while I had the idea of putting the word 'perfectly' instead of 'excellently' So just consider that, if you change out the words. (It's not an anagram, BTW) Everyone seems to be having a harder time than I thought..

I found this, and it will really help you guys. Click on 'Basic Rules' and continue from there. You are playing a basic game, and this should clear things up quite a bit.

EDIT: And the purpose of the game is to win, so don't worry if you're a Townie and get lynched, because the represented group left standing is the winner.

Ceribri edit: Okay, so you'd just add your name next to Roobarb's, like so: No Lynch 2 (Roobarb, fourtysecondscarf) 4 to end and then change it so the first number reflects the # of names in the parenthesis, and the second number is how many votes it will take to reach majority (today it is six people) so the two numbers should add up to that amount.

I'm clueless. Actually, I'm not convinced that not lynching anyone is really the best strategy, because doesn't that mean the Mafia get a free hit without us getting any closer to sorting out who's who?
On the other hand, if we just randomly lynch someone, there's a 75% chance we accidentally kill one of our own. So that kind of sucks.
I think I'm going to wait and see how the rest of you vote before deciding on what to do.

I've got braces. And haven't had corn on the cob in well over two years. *sigh*
And The Fountain is the most bizarre movie I've ever seen in my life.
Well, I'm going to get some rest, so you guys just plug on with whatever you've got in mind. Just remember that if your side wins at the end, you can claim the title of winner even if you've been killed/lynched. ^^ So no worries.
