--Rp at Chao's house -- August 14th (Backdated)--

Jizzy types in black!
Chao types in dark green
Fai types in greyish
Aido types in midnight blue
Deimos types in dark red
Teryl types in light blue

Once one got up into the hills near Durem the heat easily cooled off making what might have been a blistering, humid day in the city shifted into a moderately cool if not a bit blustery, day.

Which was a rather apt reason for most of the Luaier family to be out and about, shifting inside and out as they went about the day's business.

Fai was sitting up on the roof, bent over a weather map, comparing it to the map in his sister's hand in an attempt to get a better sense of how things moved naturally. After all, if a huge snowstorm suddenly moved in from the east people might get curious. Yes, it was definitely best to get his facts straight before he dove back into weather manipulation.

Taking another glance at the paper in her hand, Jizzy looked up at the house at the top of the hill. A small, sleeping child was in her arms, and he appeared to be normal, if you overlooked the cloth like wings, devil tail and baglike eyebrow wings.. Next to her, Teryl was striding quietly, a book tucked under her arm.

"We should have called first, mother.."

She said quickly, but Jizzy simply smiled. This was a surprise visit.

Runae's ears flickered as she caught the sound of footsteps heading up their hill. Frowning as much as her maw would allow she gave her tail a small flick. It was very odd to have anyone but the current occupants, who were all present, wander up this way.

Ae' she called into the household, stretching out for the teen and was rewarded with a mental curse and a thump from the upstairs as Chao attempted to jump up with her history book on her lap.

What is it Ru? Was Chao's terse reply.

There's someon- some people coming up the road.

""I still think we should have called.."

Teryl's logical voice said again. You think by now it was useless lecturing Jizzy on the workings of logic, but alas, she just kept trying. Jizzy just grinned as she reached the doorway and nodded to Teryl, indicating she knock. It was rather hard to knock when holding a baby in you arms.. Teryl sighed and obliged, knocking on the door three times..

The door swung open just as the third knock sounded, revealing Chao with a look of cold anger on her face. But as soon as she saw whom it was the expression cleared and there was nothing but warm relief and welcome in her eyes.

"Jizzy! Teryl! And a new babe I see! Do what do I owe this visit?"

An extra two pair of bi-colored eyes were now watching the scene curiously. Aido and Fai had abandoned their maps at the sound of a knock and were now leaning over the edge of the slanted roof.

"I was in town, and I though I might drop by.. I hope it's no trouble.. I brought Deimos as well. She said this a rather quickly, seemingly exited at having a friend to visit now.

"Teryl just sighed and rolled her eyes, sometimes she swore she was more mature than her mother..

"It's no trouble at all! We just never get visitors, living up here and all," actually that was the reason she'd bought the land in the first place, but she wasn't as paranoid of the citizens of Gaia now. At least not the ones she knew.

Her face didn't betray her thoughts in the least, "would you three like to come in?" looking over their shoulder she rolled her eyes, "Fai! Ai! Come down and say hello."

Before anyone could look Aido had already slid into the Shadows, leaving a smiling, if not a bit red cheeked, Fai to scramble away from the roofs edge towards the second floor open window.

Shaking her head Chao stepped out of the way and beckoned the group inside.

"Jizzy bounded inside cheerfully, much to the opposite of her methodical homunculus, who strode in carefully, slowly, her eyes taking in every detail they could about the house.

"Ai? Another one I suppose, she's older right.. Deimos hasnt had much to do with kids his own age and well.. he's a bit.. rambunctious.."

Jizzy said kindly, not really looking over the house in detail as Teryl did.

"Mmmhmmm, Ai's my eldest-" she paused and made a face though didn't stop walking, leading the small group through the warm feeling house to the kitchen, "I never thought I'd find myself saying that...."

Aido herself slid back through the ceiling of the kitchen just before the group walked in, landing on the kitchen counter in a crouch, halo glowing softly as she sighed. It was so much harder to do this without Rael....

Fai bounded down the stairs with a smile, though it faded slightly as he noted his sister's place. "Ah, ceiling again?"

Aido nodded and hopped onto the floor.

Jizzy blinked several times at seeing Ai on the kitchen counter, but soon shrugged it off. The small child in her arms began to stir and both Jizzy and Teryl both noticeable stiffened. Teryl made a beeline for Fai, arriving at his side quickly.

"Hello.."

She said simply, still eyeing the baby with a slightly scared look on her face.

Aido barely seemed to notice the slightly odd expression on Jizzy's face, her bi-colored eyes looking over each of the new people briefly before smiling warmly, "hello there."

Fai blinked away from the new people to focus on Teryl, his expression immediately warmed, as if trying to compensate for her own slightly scared look, "hello, m'names Fai," he tilted his head, trying to place where he'd seen her before, "aha! I saw you at that lab place, didn't I?"

""Yes.. My name's Teryl..Pleasure to meet you both."

She said, giving out a small sigh as the baby stopped moving and fell back into a deep sleep.

Jizzy also let out a long sigh. "The longer Deimos sleeps, the better.. He's a real handful..."

Jizzy said, smiling though. She could complain all she wanted about Deimos, but deep down, he was still her baby..

"Aha, I know the feeling," Chao's eyes flickered playfully to Aido as she walked in. The Tale merely tightened her scarf slightly in response.

"And... perhaps a formal introduction would be helpful, hrm?" She tilted her head before charging onwards, "right, I'm Chao, this is Fai and that's Aido," she gestured to each in turn. "My brother Rico should be around here, so if you see someone who looks quite a bit like me, but male, that's him and not some creepy stalker trying to mimic my every way."

Both Fai and Aido let out small snort of a laugh at that.

Jizzy chuckled lightly, while Teryl just tried not to crack a small smile.

"Well, if it's for introductions, that's Teryl and this is Deimos, and I'm Jizzy."

She said, mostly towards Fai and Ai.

"Teryl sighed softly. Mother, I already introduced myself.."

She said softly, and Jizzy nodded.

"I know.."

She said simply, causing Teryl to roll her eyes. Why did she get stuck with the weird one?

Fai twitched as he felt the dreaded silence of the post introduction phase begin to settle and his mind quickly searched for what little he knew of the other girl. She'd been reading a book; maybe she'd like the trunk?

Giving her sleeve a small tug to gain her attention again Fai smiled mischievously and lowered his voice, "Teryl, want to go see something interesting?"

Aido fell back into silence, simply looking at these new people, it was nice to have other people around for a change, though at the same time it only strengthened her resolve to head back to the Stationary Shop soon.

Chao leant back against the kitchen counter easily, tilting an eyebrow at Deimos, "er, if you don't mind me asking, where did Deimos come from Jizzy?"

"Teryl glanced over at Fai and once spotted the spark of mischief in his eyes, cracked a genuine smile. "Sure.." If there was one thing she loved more than books, was living the adventures out herself.

Jizzy smiled at the question, even though she was rather clueless about the TRUE story of how Deimos came to arrive with her.

"He's a Magical Mishap... A by-product of a spell gone wrong.. much to complex to reverse, so theyre adopted instead.."

His own smile brightened at Teryl finally cracked a real smile. "We'll be upstairs Aemu!" Fai called and headed quickly up said stairs, gesturing for Teryl to follow him.

Sighing at the nickname Fai had adopted, just as Aido had Chao nodded and gestured them onwards before perking at what Jizzy was saying, "wow, sounds complicated, but practical. And Gaia's one of the few places you could do that kind of thing I suppose."

"Yes.. Gaia is definitely a one of a kind place.. I'm rather fond of it here, the variety is a refreshing."

Jizzy said softly, feeling the child move in her arms, his face beginning to screw up. Her hand dove into a baby bag on her shoulder and she pulled out a bottle of what looked like blood. The child?s eyes opened and he opened his mouth to bawl, but Jizzy had already handed him the bottle and he burbled and began to drink.

"It's his feeding time.."

She explained simply..

"Definitely a refreshing place to find oneself, I take it you weren't born here then?" Chao tilted her head, glancing to Aido as the Tale slipped onto the kitchen counter next to her, mindlessly playing with the shadow her mother cast while listening closely.

Jizzy nodded as Deimos eyed Aido's shadows from the corner of his eye. He was have investigated, but.. he was much to hungry at the moment.

"True.. I wasn't born anywhere near here.."

She said. Or anywhere near this time either...

Chao nodded in turn, "sometimes I really wonder how many of Gaia's citizens were born in Gaia...."

"I don't think many were. Gaia seems like a place where people immigrate too.. in some way.." Jizzy said, the smile still on her face, unless of course, the empty baby bottle of blood was promptly chucked on her head. She screwed up her face at the impact and sighed.

"It's that kind of place I suppose," Chao murmured, snickering lightly at Deimos' shot. If she noticed that it carried the remnants of blood in it she didn't seem to mind, perhaps she really had been in Gaia for too long....

Deimos had now finished eating and his eyes were locked onto Ai and her shadows. He gave a curious burble and extended his arms towards her, trying to break free from his mother?s arms.

Aido broke away from her thoughts at Deimos' burble and smiled kindly at the baby. Cupping some of the Shadow in one hand she held it up so he could see it better.

Deimos gave a happy clap and a cheerful burble at the sight of the shadows, but once he allowed his small eyes to wander he froze, looking at the halo atop Ai's head. He soon gave an angry shout and refused to look at Aido anymore.

Jizzy gulped.. "The halo.. probably makes him feel uncomfortable.. He has demonic blood in him.."

"Oh..." Aido murmured softly, the smile vanishing from her face as her halo dropped sharply into her hair. "oh... well, I don't want to make him uncomfortable. Sorry Deimos," she pushed off the kitchen counter and crossed swiftly to the nearest shadow, vanishing into its depths before her mother could call her back.

Dropping the hand that had shot out to grab her daughter Chao sighed and raked it through her dark locks with a heavy sigh at Ai's abrupt disappearance.

Jizzy sighed.. "Deimos is very temperamental.. He'll probably want her back soon.."

Chao sighed and rubs at her forehead, "yes, I know, but Aido, well, I suppose she's just rather self conscious about her halo."

She glanced to Jizzy and Deimos, "I hope he doesn't want her back too soon, she probably won't come back for a while now," and I can't reach her until she does, she thought unhappily.

Jizzy sighed. "I try to teach Deimos good manners but.. Sometimes he just won?t listen to me.." Deimos was still acting very upset, he had perfectly good reason to.. at least he thought.

"Eh heh, sometimes I fear babies can be very set in their ways, and sometimes they just don't understand what you're trying to explain. As far as I can tell it's normal," she smiled gently at Deimos.

Jizzy gave another loud sigh. "I suppose but, also.. Deimos is so.. he's quite a handful.. They say it?s his demonic blood back at Mishap HQ.."

Chao merely shrugged, "eh, well, technically demons can be quiet and complacent just as easily as they can be loud and a handful, he's probably just enjoying being his baby self."

This last comment made Jizzy smile. "Yeah.. That's probably it.." She said. Deimos finally looked out from his mothers arms, as if looking for Ai once more, and he seemed rather upset at not having found her. Tears formed in his eyes and he began to bawl.

Chao grimaced slightly as Deimos began to cry after looking around, probably for her newly disappeared Tale. She gave Jizzy a helpless look.

Jizzy began to try to calm the small mishap, but instead inciting his fury once more. In a move she had not expected her began to cry out "AI! AI! AI!" She blinked.. was he simply shouting gibberish or were his first words truly the name of this tale.

Chao looked around, as if hoping her daughter would pop back in, barely noticing a small ripple in the shadow Aido had exited by.

Moments later Aido's head appeared, halo glowing atop her partially soaked head, it's light fading and the circlet dropping into the wet locks as she stepped fully through into the warm household, wet clothing dripping on the rug. "What's going on?" she asked, looking around, eyes wide and slightly alarmed.

"AI! AI! AI!" Deimos continued to cry, currently oblivious to the Tale's appearance.

Jizzy winced at the loud noise and with her eyes screwed up, she didn't see or hear Aido either. All she could hear were Deimos' constant cried of Ai!

Chao pointed to the wailing baby in Jizzy's arms, "I think you're being paged."

Aido blinked and quickly headed over placing a hand on Deimos' shoulder, "Deimos? What's the matter?"

Deimos felt the warmth of a hand on him and he stopped wailing, looking over at the hand her felt. His face lit up and he extended his arms eagerly towards Aido. "AI! Ai! Ai!' He cried out once more, but, cheerfully this time.

Jizzy smiled.. He was calling her.. "Well, Aido.. You're Deimos' first word.."

Aido blinked, raising one eyebrow. Hadn't Deimos just wanted her out of his sight...?

Chao smiled warmly and leant back on her hands but kept her silence.

Deimos, who seemed to notice nothing wrong at his sudden change in mood, kept reaching out to Ai. Jizzy smiled broadly. "Would you like to carry him?"

Aido glanced at her mother, who merely mouthed 'baby mood swings' at her before nodding to Jizzy and hesitantly reaching out for Deimos.

Jizzy placed Deimos carefully in Aido's arms.

He immediately clung to her. "Ai!" He burbled again happily. Now fingering her scarf slightly.

Aido smiled tentatively and made sure that Deimos was secure in her arms, "hey Deimos."

Deimos gave a cheerfully burble before saying. 'Ai! Ai!" Once more. He clung to her quite tightly, apparently now very fond of her.

Aido bounced the little boy in her arms and wandered over, then sat in, one of the more plush kitchen chairs.

Chao smiled fondly at the pair then to her friend.

Deimos reached a hand up and began to play with Ai's bi-colored hair, first the white, then the black, the intertwining both. He seemed to be very very amused.

Jizzy just smiled as well. "I've never seen him get along with someone so well.."

Aido laughed quietly but didn't seem to mind as Deimos played with her bi-colored hair.

Chao smiled and kicked her legs back and forth, "well, yay for the first of many [hopefully] good beginnings." She grabbed a glass that had been sitting nearby and raised it in a sort of toast to the little boy.

Deimos soon reached up and up through her hair, soon reaching and accidentally touching, the halo.

Jizzy raised up a false glass. "Here, Here." She said, in mock toasting manner.

Aido's entire body seemed to seize up momentarily as Deimos' fingers brushed the metal and the halo swiveled back, causing a rush of cold and pain to surge through her. She just barely managed to restrain herself from either letting go of Deimos or increasing her grip on the boy in her arms.

The pain passed and the cold ebbed momentarily after it'd begun, leaving her panting softly.

Deimos watched Ai's sudden reaction and his eye grew sad. "Hurmel?" He asked in baby talk, but his voice was concerned. What was wrong with AI-Ai?

Aido caught the demon babe's concerned look and smiled, though it seemed a bit strained, "m'alright Deimos, don't worry."

--The Terrace - August 15th, 2005 --
Participants: Deimos, Lenore, Jizzy and Glass Crow.

"Len, spit that out."

Lenore gave a grumble, caught, and grudgingly spit out the acorn. Crow rolled her eyes and pulled the small playpen a bit closer to her lawn chair, clearing out any hidden stashes of plantlife before returning to her book. A small portable cassette player was rambling an audiobook version of Stephen King's "The Shining", which Lenore had been listening to with gleeful attentiveness before diving into her stash of Things She Shouldn't Be Eating. Giving the now reading Crow a reproachful look, Lenore returned to her audiobook and burbled.

Crow looked up from her magazine for a moment, looking around to see if any of the other Mishaps or guardians were lurking out on the Terrace.

The small child in Jizzy's arms was protesting and crying as she made her way onto the terrace, actually hevaily intent on going back to the room. But then his crying stopped as a familiar glint of metal caught Deimos' eye, causing him to burble slightly and yank towards the direction of Crow and Lenore.

Jizzy, who was raher upset at her mishap at the moment, quickly noticed his silence and followed his gaze. A playpen, good. Perhaps if Deimos could play with other for a while it might calm him, maybe some social skills would develop, who knows.

"Heylo"

She cried out to Crow, making her way there.

Lenore gave a start, all concentration on her audiobook disrupted. That presence....Deimos. With an almost involuntary motion, Lenore grabbed at the feather tip that still bore that faint stain of Deimos; blood from their first encounter. With a discomfitted mumble, she looked through the reinforced metal bars of her play pen at the emanation of the source. She saw
Jizzy and Deimos coming closer, and she felt her body involuntarily tense as she made eye contact with the child.

Crow started and looked up from her magazine. With a smile, she waved Jizzy and Deimos over, taking a sip of her tea and tossing her reading material aside.

"Hey guys! C'mon over!"

Deimos burbled loudly as he achieved eye contact with Lenore and he actually sounded exited. He bounced in his mother arm's flailing againt her grip to go to Lenore.

Jizzy smiled and made it over to the pair quickly. SHe eyed the tea for a moment.. Deimos had gotten her on a strict coffee regimen and she had barely the time to enjoy tea anymore. Seeing Deimos struggle, she gently nuzzled his head before putting him down beside Lenore's playpen. He still couldn;t crawl to fast, so he wasn;t going anywhere..

"It's nice seeing you around here.. I've don't come to the Terrace often, so it's quite a coincidence to find you here."

After being placed on the outside of the playpen, Deimos peered inside, his tiny hands gripping the bars. The small eyebrow wings flapped in exitement as he burbled a greeting, his eye shifting to the blood stain on her blade and making him seem even more exited.

Noticing Jizzy's covetous look at her tea, Crow pulled out her thermos and poured some into an extra cup. Handing it to Jizzy with a smile, she glanced down at Lenore and Deimos. Len wasn't looking particularly cheerful at the sight of Deimos, though the boy certainly seemed happy to see her. With a smile, Crow looked back up at Jizzy.

"So, how're you doing?"

Lenore felt suddenly very trapped in her metal playpen. Deimos seemed very happy to see her, and she felt a tad guilty about her predatory alertness around him. He was probably a lovely Mishap that would make an excellent friend, but she simply could not ignore the instinct to protect herself and her caretaker if he tried anything funny. Trying to ignore the burning feeling that had flared up on her feather, Lenore gave a cautious smile and watched to see what Deimos would do.

Jizzy took the tea, shocked at first, but at the first sip her worries melted away temporarily.. Goodness she missed this stuff.. AFter taking another long swig, she finally spoke.

"We're doing alright.. Well Deimos is at least.. He's learning to crawl so I have to keep a sharp eye on him, luckyly for me, he isn't to fast. Are you and Lenore doing alright as well?"

Deimos heard his mother say the small child's name and set it to memory.. To current date he knew 3 names: Dei, which was himself, Ma,which was Jizzy and Ai, who was a Tall Tale he had visited and become quite fond of not to long ago. Now his toung stumbled over trying to sound out Lenore's name.

"Le.. Le.. nnnn.."

He couldn;t seem to get the rest of the sounds quite right no he resorted ti simple, Len..

"LEN!"

He cried out suddenly, sticking his hands inside the metal bars to try and come into contact with the mentioned Mishap.

Crow gave a start and did a spit take with her mouthful of tea. She looked at Deimos in astonishment, wearing the same deeply surprised look as Lenore.

"Deimos can talk already?" she asked Jizzy in surprise, wiping tea off of her shirt. Composing herself as best she could (which was hard to do, since she had spit out her tea all over herself), she set her cup down.

"We're doing okay. Len's been teething, which means I've been getting about fifteen minutes of sleep per week. She's totally nocturnal - this is the first time I've been outside during the day since I first got her!"

Lenore looked up at Deimos, who was reaching out to her eagerly. He had said her name - something even she herself was not yet capable of doing. Nibbling on her lip with her tiny emerging teeth, Lenore crawled over to the bars and sat down, keeping her gaze carefully blank.

"Deyem," she said, leaning forward a little.

Jizzy chuckled softly, taking another long sip of her tea. SHe'd never seem someone actually spiut out thier drink in shock. She thought it was just soemthing peopel did on TV.

"He can say a few names.. but nothing else.. He shouts much more than he talks.. Do you think I could, put him in the play pen with Lenore? I don't want him crawling off.."

Deimos heard her and he clapp and squealed in exitement. So far, Lenore was by far his favorite Mishap, though the resoning behind that probably had something to do with blood.

"Len!" He said, extending a finger and poking her softly in the arm, cauiously avoiding the blades.

Crow gave a nod and poured herself some more tea.

"Sure! Len's probably been a bit lonely - we haven't seen any other Mishaps for awhile."

Len gave a jump as Deimos touched her. Edging back slightly, she raised her arms so that the feather tips pointed out. She didn't mind sharing her space with Deimos, but she would have to stay on her guard.

Setting down her tea, she moved over and picked up Deimos. At first, eh retorted, he didn't want to leave yet, but once he was set down inside the playpen, his crying stopped.

"There.."

SHe said, and moved back to her tea.

Deimos was in shock when his mother had picked him up and began to flail and cry. He didn't want to leave yet. Once he was set down next to Lenore however, he quieted and gave a cheerful burble. He crawled over to her and his eyebrow wings batted in exited, much like a dogs tail. Soon he was sitting next to her, his tail swishing cheerfully as he reched up to touch Lenore's hair.

Sitting very still, Len watched Deimos as he reached up to touch her feathery hair. She had made her defenses very obvious, but they didn't seem to perturb Deimos that much. With a slight grumble, she allowed him to come closer. Crow had seemed eager for Len to make friends, and the Mishap supposed that an intrusion into her precious personal space came along with friendship.

Deimos touched her hair and fingered it for a moment, then smiled and burbled. In return he swush his demonic tail near Lenore. If she let him touch her hair, she could touch his tail.

Lenore looked at Deimos' tail uncertainly. It was a fascinating thing - so unlike her own tail of feathers. Reaching out to touch it gingerly, Lenore's feeling of distinct unease doubled. She knew through her magically programmed instinct that this child was something she shouldn't be getting too friendly with, but her naturally created curiosity encouraged her to explore. With a deft motion, Lenore leaned forward enough to brush the tail with her fingertips.

She instantly regretted it.

"Nyaaaaah!"

It felt as though the bloodstained feather had caught fire -it burned like her hand did as every cell in her body rejected the overwhelming presence that Deimos was full of.

Deimos' eye grew in shock. Why was Len crying? Had somone hurt her?He took his tail back, moving it away. DId his tail bother her? When she continued crying, Deimos did the only thing that occurred to him, he began to call his mother.

"MA!!! MA!! MA!!"

He shrieked, waving a desperate hand in Len's direction, his eyes filled with genuine worry, something Jizzy had never seen in them before.

The pain was alien to Lenore. She'd felt the discomforts of her own body growing, teething, and the occasional bout with colic. But this... it felt as though the skin on her fingers was on fire, and the stain of Deimos' blood burning through the metal feather like acid. She dared a glance at Deimos, and was rather shocked to find him looking worried for her. Her cries of pain eased as she felt Crow scoop her up into her arms, taking her away from that frightening presence.

"Shhh, shhh, Songbird, it's okay," Crow crooned softly, rocking Lenore gently and allowing the Mishap to claw at her as she tried to make herself secure. She felt Lenore's frantic breathing ease, and was slightly unsurprised when she felt the baby's head droop against her shoulder and the frantic fidgeting cease.

"She usually sleeps during the day," Crow explained to Jizzy, still rocking Len gently. "She drops off at about six o'clock, and sleeps right through the day until evening. I guess she was just a little grouchy since staying up until afternoon is like staying up 'til midnight for her."

Easing the sleeping Mishap into her cozy carrying box, Crow packed up her things and waved goodbye.

"I'll just put her to bed, and maybe I'll meet up with you and Deimos again later."

Deimos waved his arms franticall to reach her. Where were they taking len? Was she ok?

"Len! Len!"

He cried out of his own mother scooped him up. He fought against her, wishing to reach the other mishap.

Jizzy held tight to Deimos sighing softly. She feared he'd never make friends.

"Shh.. Deimos.. She'll be fine.."

The Laundry Room
Participants: Deimos, Lenore, Jizzy and Glass Crow

Jizzy hummed a few lines from Phantom of the Opera as she held a large plastic basket in her arms. It was full to the brim with bundled up clothes, some covered in dirt, others in food, and the occasional garment was covered in droplets of blood. There was a large bump in the middle of the basket, which Jizzy didn't really notice.

She reached the laundry room without incident and lay the basket down ontop of the dryer. SHe began to unload the clothes when the lump grew twice in size and yelled "BOOO!" at her.

Jizzy leapt back, clutching her heart, truly scared until she heard chuckled coming from the basket. She remained at a distance from the basket, plotting her next move.

"There. Last of the load."

Crow stuffed in the last article of clothing and slammed the washing machine shut with a triumphant grin. Lenore, nestled in her carrying box on top of one of the dryers, gave a half-interested burble before returning to her battered teething ring. Crow stuck her tongue out at the Mishap, brushing her hair out of her eyes.

"You may think it's not much of an accomplishment, but that's five baskets worth of socks, towels, cloth diapers, and underwear in that machine right now." Crow said mildly, to which Lenore gave a giggle and blew spit bubbles. Lifting Lenore off the dryer and settling her on the floor with a grunt, Crow started up the machine and sat down on the floor, leaning on it. Taking out a book that was tucked into Len's box, she looked around briefly for other guardians before starting to read.

Crow made a funny little "eep!" sound and jumped up, searching for the source of the very loud "BOO!" Looking around in a semi-panic (she had been really quite startled), she spotted Jizzy looking as though she was about to faint from her fright.

So, of course, Crow had to make things worse.

"HEY JIZZY!" she shouted, quite unnecessarily, since the laundry room wasn't really that big.

Lenore glanced up from her teething ring, feeling a far too familiar prickle on the back of her neck, and a faint burning where a rusty red bloodstain marred one of her feathers.

Here we go again, she thought mildly (though since she was a baby, it probably wasn't thought that way).

Not to far from where Crow was, a battle was raging. Deimos, who had hidden in Jizzy's pile of clothes, had struck the first blow, sending a sock flying at her face. Jizzy retailiated by lunging at the basket and tickling the small child inside. The giggles could be heard a mile away. Deimos flailed against the evil tickles, but to no avail, he even tried throwing some more clothes at Jizzy, but her attack was relentless. Jizzy looked up at Crow's cry and in her moment of distraction was hit with a large bundle of socks, knocking her backwards..

"Hey Crow!"

Crow winced as Jizzy was hit full on by flying clothing. Grabbing Len''s carrying box and launching herself into a flying leap over the middle row of washers and dryers, she landed neatly on her feet and bounded up to the battling pair. Picking up some of the socks that cluttered the floor and tossing them gently back into the clothes bin, Crow gave a smile and set Lenore on the dryer next to the bin.

"Soooo, how are you?" she asked eagerly. Having not seen another human for nearly a week, Crow was starved for a little girl talk that did not involve trying to teach Len not to scream "Maromi" at one o''clock in the morning.

Lenore looked coolly up into the clothes hamper next to her box, gnawing at the tough rubber teething ring Crow had bought for her off of the computer. Relishing the relief from the constant ache in her gums, she sat up a little to see if Deimos was in fact the happy giggling creature flinging clothing everywhere.

Jizzy pulled the socks out of her face, raising her hands in surrender as Deimos' head popped out from the basket.

"I'm doin really well actually.." She said, despite the fact she was covered in stinky clothes.

Deimos gigles and burbled in triumph! He had both scared mother and caused her to surrender, this was certainly a productive day. As he gave another happy burble, his nose picked up a familiar scent and he wheeled arund int he basket.

"LEN!"

Crow bit back a laugh as she watched Deimos play around in the clothes hamper. Lenore wasn't nearly as playful... she was a bit too serious for a baby.

"That's good. I'm doing okay, too. Getting used to sleeping during the day so that I can stay up longer with Len," she said, glancing over at her Mishap fondly.

Lenore was prepared for Deimos' attention this time around. Sitting up and looking directly at the other Mishap, she said loudly and clearly,

"Maromi!"

She was very proud of achieving the gift of speech, even though the only word she could say over and over and over was "Maromi". After all, "Lil' Slugger" was a bit too complicated for her. Clamping her jaws firmly onto her teething ring, Lenore grabbed hold of the sides if the clothing hamper and hoisted herself up.

"Maromi?" she ventured, relishing the powerful feeling she achieved from speaking a real word at last.

"Oh, noctural. Deimos just sleeps at odd times, but when he does, at least he sleeps. I tend to just drop dead whenever he does."

Jizzy said with a faint chuckle, now staring to pile the clothes into one of the washers.

"LEN!" Deimos replied eagerly and instead of lifting himself up, he simply knocked over the basket so he tumbled out along with all the other clothes. He crawled towards her and burbled. He wanted to know if she was ok, last time he'd seen her, she'd been hurt for some reason beyond Deimos' knowledge.

"I don't mind her being nocturnal so much now, but I do wish I could see the sun once and a while..." Crow trailed off, looking at her very pale skin. Living indoors and venturing out only when the moon was out was doing a number on her complexion - she was always pale, but not this much. Leaning against the dryer, she glanced over her shoulder at the toppled bin and kept on eye on Lenore, just to make sure she didn't fall.

Lenore didn't tense up, nor did she feel her protective instincts flare up at Deimos' approach. She knew that he meant her no harm - after all, he had cried for help when he had inadvertently injured her, hadn't he? Chewing voraciously on her teething ring, Len simply sat back down in her box and watched Deimos crawl towards her. The bloodstained feather gave a feeble burn that she determinedly ignored, and gave Deimos a little smile.

She was determined to either make friends with this strange little creature and ease her discomfort every time he was near, or find some way to evade him and save her a load of trouble.

Jizzy continued piling clothes into the washer, slamming the door shut and turning the confunded machine on once she was done.

"Well, if you ever need to catch some rays, just gimme a call and I'll bring Deimos along for a playdate inm the garden, that should keep Len up."

Deimos promptly sat himself down near Len and burbled a happy greeting. She seemed ok, and that was good enought for him. He glance at Crow and burbled at her approvingly. She was taking good care of Len.

"How about tomorrow?" Crow asked quickly, already fantasizing about laying out in the sun, maybe doing a little exercise, running around, stretching her magical muscles with a little spell practice she'd been putting off ever since Len started cutting her teeth... feeling slightly encouraged by Deimos' approving look, she clasped her hands together and looked at Jizzy hopefully.

Lenore returned his cheerful greeting with a happy squeal of "Marooooomi!". Playing with her hair with her long fingers, she burbled at Deimos with interest and glanced with only a slight bit of apprehension at his tail. Feeling a familiar sense of discomfort and an urge to protect, Len quickly shifted her gaze. There would be no need to protect anything, she told herself firmly. Deimos isn't going to cause any trouble.

Toying with her hair with one hand and her tail of feathers with the other, Len glanced at Crow. Her guardian was caught up in conversation with Jizzy, so it looked as though she was going to be with Deimos for awhile. Nibbling her lip in thought, Len looked Deimos over. His nice gesture had sort of blown up in his face, and she did feel a little guilty about that. Taking hold on of one her looser tail feathers, Len bit her lip and winced as she plucked it out. Crow had impressed strongly on Lenore that friends liked getting gifts, so what better gift to give than a feather?

"Blitha," Lenore said amiably, holding the feather out to Deimos.

Jizzy smiled at her fellow guardian's anticipation and nodded. "Sure, why not? I'm sure Deimos won't mind, he cries out for Len at random moments in the day, so I take it he likes her."

Deimos gaped for a moment, then took the feather gratefully and placed it in his hair. He burbled cheerfully, turning to the guardians for a moment and pointing at the feather. "LEN!' He exclaimed to them before turning to Len.. He had to give her something back, but what.. He began to look around and his face fell as he found nothing to give to Lenore in return.

"Oh man, thank you!" Crow said excitedly, caught up in daydreams of sun, clouds, and sunburns.

Lenore gave a giggle as she watched Deimos put the feather in his hair. It did give him a rather fetching look...

"D'mos," she said thickly, her tongue bumping clumsily against her new teeth. If he could learn her name, she would have to try her best to learn his.

Jizzy laughed at her exitement.. "You must really miss the sunlight to be this thrilled." She said, watching the clothes now go into the dry cycle.

Deimos' chest swelled up in pride at the sound of his name and he pointed to himself. "Dei!" Then he pointed to Lenore and shouted "Len!". He made a mental note to find something for Lenore later. He'd bug mother till they found something nice.

Crow gave another excited titter. "I've seen the sun about twice this month, once at dawn, and when I was out on the terrace with Len,' she said, still dreaming of sunburns and solar glare.

Lenore struggled to sound out Deimos' name, feeling a flare of frustration at her inability to speak it properly.

"Dei," she said finally, giving up on the full version. "Dei Dei Dei Dei!" with a cry of delight, Len recited the name over and over, enjoying a renewed sense of heightened self esteem as she spoke. Pointing to herself, she played with the syllables for a few moment before gurgling out "Lennnn."

She made a prolonged "nnnn" sound, before pointing back to Deimos and repeating his shortened name.

And, pointing surreptitiously at Crow, she cheerfully screeched, "Dammit!"

(This being Crow's curse of choice, and having allowed Len to hear it far too many times for it not to be learned, whether or not the child knew what it meant.)

"You poor dear.. I'll even make us some lemonade. " Jizzy said cheerfully, offering her cooking skills for this worthy cause. he suddenly chocked at Lenore's words, alughing out loud. "Well now we know what your curse of choice is."

Deimos clapped loudly and now pointed at Lenore. "LEN MINE!" He cried out. He'd claimed her now, now that she accpeted him. He bounced up in place, feeling the machine hum and whir beneath him.

Crow blushed deeply and gave a nervous giggle, mentalling noting to tape her mouth shut around Lenore if she was in a cursing mood. "You have my undying gratitude, honestly," She said.

"Don't worry, it's no biggy. The least I could do for a friend." Jizzy said, smiling down at her. She was already planning the outing out in her head. She's make lemonade and chicken.. oh yes some chicken, some of it cut up in little pieces for finger food for the little ones.. Yes, this would be a splendid outing.

Deimos heard the giggles and turned to the adult for a moment before, going back to Len, his mind was still reeling, what could he give her. He couldn't pull out his wings or tail and hair wasn't as cool as a feather. He seemed to be deep in thought about this subject.

"I'll bring some stuff for the kids to eat - Len's in love with this beef mash stuff that comes in a can. I'm not sure if Deimos would like it, but Len refuses to eat anything but that and mashed peas with milk." Crow glanced over at Mishaps, and made a sound of surprise as she saw the tail feather entwined in Deimos' hair.

Looking Len over, she noticed that the feather tail was one short, and a small fleck of blood on Lenores fingers.

"Lenore Ligeia Adyamaur, did you pull that feather out?" she asked the giggling child in half-earnest accusation. Lenore giggled louder and waved her bladed arms in response. Rolling her eyes, Crow tucked the happy girl back in her carrying box and hoisted her up.

"Well, Len's due for a diaper change right about now, so I'll catch you tomorrow out at the terrace, maybe noonish?" Crow said as she halfway waltzed out the door, thoughts preoccupied with the sun.

Lenore settled into her box, content and impressed with herself. She had mastered her instincts of protection, allowed herself to interact with Deimos, and made him a friend in the process, and had begun to speak another word besides "Maromi". A good day's work, all in all.

Wycliff and Deimos' Playdate -- Part 1

Black - Jizzy
Red - Deimos
Olive - Tori
Grey - Wycliff

"Hellooo!" A deep voice called cheerfully out from behind Jizzy's door. A tall man stood there, happily smiling, waiting for something to happen. Balanced on one hand was a trey with cups and various pitchers of unidentified liquid, and clasped tightly in the other was the end of a leash. Attached to said leash was Wycliff, who was sitting happily on the ground in front of Jizzy's room, playing with his toenails.

"Hmm..." After a few moments of silence from the other end of the door, Tori blinked, looking around. Not seeing anything he could knock with, the tall man raised one foot, tapping against the door. "Maybe that will help things..." He said, looking down lovingly at Wycliff. "I hope she doesn't mind the intrusion..."

After a few minutes pause, the door swung open to reveal a very messy looking Jizzy. She seemed to have traces of baby fod in her hair and face was covered in red streaks. Her blue eyes shimmered cheerfully, though at the sight of Tori.

"Oh, Hello.. UM.. Come in.."

She said, as if unsure what to do with guests. Inside the large room, Deimos sat in his playpen, very clena in contrast with Jizzy. He'd obviously just been bathed.

"To what may I owe this visit?"

SHe asked politely, straightenning her crooked sunglasses ina meager attempt to look tidier.

"Weeellll..." Tori started, smiling broadly. He leaned down, picking up Wycliff, and then started into the room. As the tall man neared first flat surface he saw, a small table, he happily slid the trey down. "Ahh, there we go..." He stood up, adjusting Wycliff so the little Rhino-boy was in both of his arms.

"Now then...I am here, my dear Jizzy, to start up that idea we had!" The tall man jumped a little, obviously excited. "I brought stuff to drink, and I am assuming you have some sort of food, so we can have a little private party while our Mishaps play together..."

Jizzy exhausted air seemed to lift in a instant. A the mention of party she rushed to the wardrobe, swinging it open.. Ruffling thorugh some drawers she pulled out a large wooden box, closing the wardrobe quickly, she palce the wooden box on the table.

"I'd been hoping for a time I got to share with someone.."

She said and oepned the box to reveal an assortment of doughnuts, candies, pocky and pre-packaged cakes..

"This is all I have for now, with more notice I would have baked something.."

"Oh, my goodness..." Tori laughed quietly, bouncing Wycliff in his arms. "That's quite the collection you have there..." He shuffled over to the box, peering inside. The tall man didn't normally like sweets, but these looked pretty good, and hey, it was a party! A time to celebrate and have fun.

"I brought some Apple Cider, and Mountain Dew..." Tori said, blushing slightly. The person who rang him up at the store had given him an odd look at the combination. "I hope it's good..."

"I have a sweet tooth the size of Mount Everest.. I pratically hoard anything to satisfy the cravings."

Jizzy said, her eyes almost blindingly bright with exitement.

"and I love apple cider.. I can't believe you remembered that I'd said it.."

SHe said smiling broadly as she lifted the demonic child from his play prison.

"Well, of course I remember..." Tori smiled, nodding. "You are such a nice person, and I love to talk to you, so I tend to remember things you say..." He turned, taking a cup, and offering it to Jizzy. "Would you like some now?"

Tori gently stroked Wycliff's head before placing him on the ground. "You think they'll be okay? I would have brought some of Wycliff's toys, but a lot of them have holes, and my hands were a little full..."

"I think they'll be alright. Deimos has been rather docile towards other Mishaps, guess he considers them the same as him, I suppose."

Jizzy said, feeling joy well up inside her at Tori's kind words.

"And some cider sounds splendid.."

Deimos, who had been watching this all fromj his playpen gave an angry shout and a hiss to Tori. What was he doing here, in Deimos' domain?

"Wonderful..." Tori took one of the pitchers, pouring a steady stream of cider into the little cup, until it was full. He stretched out an arm, offering the cup to Jizzy.

The tall man blinked at Deimos' actions, returning the unhappy spits and hisses with a broad smile, and a few mumbled baby-talk words. He automatically assumed that the little Mishap was just being grumpy, so wanted to make a good impression on him.

Wycliff settled down on the carpet, looking around the apartment. In essence, it looked the same as the one his Guardian owned, but from there everything was different. It was obviously Jizzy's, and Deimos', and Wycliff would have loved to explore the area a little more, but Deimos was making odd noises, so the little Rhino-boy decided to crawl toward him, to find out what was happening.

Jizzy took the cup gratefully,k taking a small sip and giggling immediatly. The bubbles had made thier way up to her nose, tickling it slightly.

"I love the bubbles.."

She said amidts her giggles.

Deimos was still hissing at Tori when he noticed a smaller mishap crawling towards him. This one smelled like the bad man. He hissed at Wycliff as well, his eyebrow wings raised slightly.

"Oh, I do, too..." Tori smiled, pouring some greenish liquid for himself, and sipping it. "I like the sound that fizz makes when it dies down..." He wrinkled his nose in amusement, giggling softly.

Wycliff blinked, stopping his movement. Should he keep going, or stay away from this Mishap? The little Rhino-boy sat back on his bottom, reaching out a hand and smiling, in case that would help things.

Jizzy smiled and took another long swig. Her face turned serious for a moment as she gazed at the bubbles fizzing up towards the surface of her drink.

"I really appreciate this, Tori.. Thanks.."

Deimos looked at the hand for a moment, as if it were something dirty or smelly that belong in the trash. Then he looked up at Wycliff, sniffed and enxtended his own hand in return, letting the tips of his fingers graze Wycliff's hand. He didn't entirelyh smell like the bad man. Maybe he was a prisoner of the evil purple-haired man.

"Oh, well..." Tori wiggled his nose happily, blushing. He had been planning this all week, and it made him so happy to see Jizzy having fun. "It was my pleasure, really..."

Wycliff made a little happy sound, small amounts of drool traveling down his chin. Man, he really needed to learn how to control himself. The little Rhino-boy shook his head at his own thought, looking back at Deimos, and smiling. He scooted a little closer to the other Mishap, hoping to get in a hug or a happy burble.

Jizzy's eyes glimmered as she pulled off her sunglasses, revealing her bright blue eyes. This was a rare occurence, though many people didn't know it. She found her shades to be a sort of shield against the world, and she felt vunerable once she removed them, but, as a courtesy to Tori, she had taken down her barriers for now. "I'm glad to have met you.. I've been having such a hectic time lately.. Money's been tight, Deimos keeps getting into trouble.. I just.. I can't thank you enough.

Deimos saw Wycliff inch closer to him and he was hesitant, he sniffed the air again, yes this other mIshap had his own scent, one that aparently Deimos approved. He gave a semi-reluctant happy burble, showing his acceptance.

"I am happy to have met you, also, Jizzy..." Tori never let his smile fade, gently bringing the girl into a hug again. "If you ever need any help, any kind, at all...I am here for you..." His voice was barely a whisper, but his mouth was near Jizzy's ear, so he hoped she could hear him well enough.

Wycliff scooted faster, happy that he wouldn't have to worry about Deimos hurting him. If he could talk, he would have been in full conversation swing right now, but since he couldn't, the little Rhino-boy settled for a string of happy noises.

It felt nice. Being hugged. Jizzy had spent a long time on the road before arriving at Gaia that she'd almost forgotten how it had felt to be hugged by someone. She chocked back tears as she smiled.. "Same goes for you.. If you ever need anything, just call."

Deimos replied in half-hearted burbled, his eyes glaring angryly at Tori. Why was he holding Mother, HIS MOTHER? "MINE!" Deimos shouted loudly at Tori, ready to spring into defensive mode if he tried anything.

"I shall.." Tori nodded, blinking a little. A small rumbling noise floated up from between the two, and the tall man blushed deeply. "Ahh, well..." He stepped back, looking around. "How about we find somewhere to sit, and partake of this wonderful food?"

Wycliff blinked, looking up in the direction of Deimos' shout. The two people were hugging, something that Tori did a lot, so Wycliff was used to it. He wiggled an ear, smiling a little at the other Mishap's reaction. Without warning, the little Rhino-boy leaned foreward, hugging Deimos akwardly.

Jizzy chuckled slightly at the akward moment and stuck a hand behidn the wardrob, where two folded chair were hidden. She opened them up by the table and smiled. "Ta Da!"

Deimos was shocked, to say the least. First he let out a shriek and prompty tried to wriggle out of the hug. Ewww. Now he smelled liek the bad man. He wrinkled up his nose in disgust as he flailed slightly against Wycliff's clumsy grasp.

The sound of laughter and talk filled Jabir's ears, alerting him that there were not only humans, but Mishaps, in Deimos' and Jizzy's room. He pondered for a moment, running a finger along the small note held between two of his very long fingers.

The Note
Dear Jizzy and Deimos,
As you are aware, in order for a Mishap to grow from one stage to another, the Guardian and Mishap must first complete a quest. The following is your assigned quest, for Deimos to grow into a toddler.
Jizzy, by now you have noticed that your Mishap has a very strong personality. This may cause both problems and new experiences for the two of you, and sets Deimos quite apart from the other Mishaps.
You are already dealing with Deimos' personality well; he is developing his own personality, but also trusts and is becoming attached to you. Unfortunately his current behaviour will make things harder for him to become attached to anyone or anything else. Some positive interaction with one Mishap and one Guardian (not necessarily a pair) would help boosting his confidence in not only who he is, but how he will deal with others later. It will also help you to know how to deal with your Mishap, and control him.

Best Wishes,
The Mishap Staff

"Well, one quest has been given out, so maybe they will be expecting me." Jabir said, nodding to himself. Knocking once the tall Mishap opened the door without waiting for a reply, striding inside. "Sorry for the interruption I just came to deliver this"

Ignoring any reactions from the people or mishaps, Jabir approached Jizzy, placing the note in one of her hands. In a small flurry movement he turned, sliding easily out of the door and making his way down the hall. "Hmm...That went better than expected." Jabir smirked slightly, wondering how Jizzy and Deimos would react to the sudden intrusion, and the new quest.

Wycliff and Deimos' Playdate -- Part 2

Jizzy blinked, stared at the note, blinked again and finally concluded in opening the note. Her eyes scanned up and down the rows of print at least 3 times before she sight and collapsed into the chair she had just put up. The note fluttered onto the table.

"Deimos just got his growth quest and I fear he'll never grow. His task is to get along with people.." Jizzy shook her head sadly. "Not one of his strongest skills.."

Deimos finally slipped out of Wycliff's grasp and gave a very unhappy burble. He didn't appreciate his personal bubble being intruded, at least not without his concent. He glanced up at his mother and frowned. She was upset, he could tell, but why? Did the evil man make mother upset? Deimos began a steady crawl towards Jizzy, soon arriving at her side and tugging on her pant leg.

"Ma.. Ma.." He said in a concerned voice.

"Oh, oh, this is so exciting!" Tori exclaimed, also taking and reading the note. "I am sure you and Deimos will do wonderfully in your quest, and he will grow to be a great-looking toddler..." The tall man was almost vibrating in place with his obvious excitement and joy at the quest, and he didn't skip a beat when he read about exactly what the quest entailed.

"Well..." He started, pouting out his bottom lip in thought. "I am sure Deimos will be able to warm up to someone, right?" Long, purple hair swished a bit as Tori looked around the room for inspiration. "He seems to be doing well with Wycliff, and their personalities are almost completely opposite, as much personality as a baby can have..."

Wycliff watched Deimos go, instinctivly knowing that he shouldn't interfere with the affairs of mother-figure and son-figure. 'Twas the law of the wild, that was. Instead of following Deimos, Wycliff rocked himself onto all fours, starting toward his own Guardian, who also mostly counted as a mother-figure. When he lightly bumped into Tori's leg, the man looked down, picking up Wycliff almost instinctivly. The little Rhino-boy settled down in his Guardian's arms, waiting to see what Deimos and his Guardian would do.

Jizzy and put on a faint smile just for Deimos as she picked him up. SHe bounced him in her arms for a moment before picking up the note and showing it to him. "See this.. This says that you're going to grow soon, but only if you're a good boy and play nice.."

Deimos listened to his other and he realized that it was this note that had made mother upset. It a swift movement he swiped it and stuck it in his mouth, nibbling on it with his small front teeth. He did a small smile up a Jizzy. "Ma!" He said and continued nibbling, he'd get rid of anything that bothered what was his.

Tori blinked, watching Deimos slowly consume the paper. "Oh, my...." He said, his voice barely a whisper. "I hope you remember exactly what you had to do, Jizzy, because...Well, I don't think you're going to get that back..." He smiled a little, absent-mindedly rocking Wycliff.

Wycliff turned his spiky head, watching Deimos along with his Guardian. He personally approved of what Deimos was doing; his Guardian was unhappy, and he was fixing it. Wycliff stuck a chubby arm out, waving and giggling in approval. When his body started to slowly rock back and forth, however, he yawned, letting his arm drop, and fighting to keep his eyes open.

Jizzy laughed slightly and nodded. "I'll remember, if not I can just go into Deimos' tummy and find out." She siad, giving his a faint tummy tickle, causing him to giggle.

Deimos giggled for a moment then released the rest fo the note. He'd done his job, mother was no longer sad. He turned to look around and spotted Wycliff in Tori's arms. His eyes grew wide and he began to cry, flailing out for Wycliff. H ehad to save him from the bad man.

Tori chuckled softly, watching the two interact. "You guys make a great couple, Deimos and you..." He said, nodding slowly. "I am sure your quest will work out..."

Wycliff's eyes shot open as he heard Deimos cry out, and he could see the little Mishap flailing to get to him. He turned up to his Guardian, wondering why Deimos seemed so alarmed and unhappy. Burbling a little, the Rhino-boy wiggled in his Guardian's arms, trying to be let down. Tori nodded a little, leaning down to the ground and placing Wycliff at his feet. Almost immediatly, Wycliff was off, crawling toward Jizzy, and wondering what Deimos' problem was.

Jizzy let Deimos down as well, as he seemed desperate to get to Wycliff.

Deimos rapidly crawled over to Wycliff and in a completely unprecedented move, wrapped his arms around him ina protective hug. He then turned his head to Tori and hissed. "Mine!"

Tori blinked, his eyes widening in suprise. "Er..." He stammered, wondering how he was going to get his Mishap back. "What say we let them play a little longer, ne? I think I'm going to need a crowbar and some butter to get those two away right now..."

Wycliff's eyes were already large, but when Deimos hugged him, the orbs threatened to jump out of their sockets. He didn't understand what Deimos meant by mine, but assumed it was something good; Wycliff was slow to talk, not having much use for it at the moment, but he learned well the meanings of words from intonation and expression. Burbling happily, Wycliff hugged Deimos back, hoping that that was the right move.

Jizzy just laughed. This was unexpected. "Well, at least he seems to be take to Wycliff, or he really dislikes you.." She said jokingly.

Deimos had to resist the urge to pull away from Wycliff, but he held fast. He wasn't letting the bad man get to what was his, especially not in his home. He blew a large raspberry at Tori while still clutching WYcliff.

"Well, either way..." Tori smiled softly, turning to pick up his cup again. "Would you like to continue our little brunch?" The tall man quietly ignored Deimos' actions, feeling it best to make him feel like he had won.

Wycliff giggled at Deimos, never having seen a raspberry being blown at anyone. Not knowing quite what that meant, Wycliff decided that it was very, very funny, and hugged Demios closer. He liked this newfound friendship that had seemed to develope between him and the normally-antisocial Mishap.

"Yes, lets continue.." She said, handing Tori a napkin and a chcolate glazed doughnut. "You like chocolate, yes?"

Deimos finaly ahd enoguh fo the lovey-dovey hug and pulled away from Wycliff, still keeping close enough to cling to him if Tori tried anything. Deimos scanned the room ad soon spotted his large purple ball and crawled over to it, rolling it over to Wycliff upon arrival.

"Ah, well, in moderation, one can like anything..." Tori nodded, taking the doughnut, and nibbling on it. "Thank you..."

Wycliff blinked, letting the ball bonk into his tummy. He didn't know exactly what to do with it, but decided to roll it back to Deimos, in case he had just lost his hold on it. Obviously, Wycliff needed to get out more.

"I'm a chocoholic so my stash consists most of chocolatey goods." Jizzy said, munching a doughnut just like Tori's.

Deimos burbled in approval and rolled the ball back to him. Deimos liked this game, he played it with mother all the time. Though Mother sometiems became rather competitive in her ball rolling.

"Ahh...Chocolate is a very nice way to keep happy, ne?" He smiled, nibbling around the outer edge of his doughnut.

Wycliff blinked some more, raising an eyebrow with as much motor control as he could muster. Maybe Demios was having trouble keeping the ball over there. Wycliff rolled it back to him, determined to help his fellow Mishap.

Jizzy nodded. "Nothing helps when your down like a nice piece of milk chocolate." She said, taking another small bite out of her doughnut.

Deimos burbled happily. He got the game! He decided Wycliff was ready fro an upgrade and picked up the ball and made a feeble attempt to throw it at him. The ball only made it halfway, but rolled the rest fo the distance to the tiny-rhino.

"Mmm, I may have to counter your milk chocolate with dark..." Tori said, smiling softly, and chewing contemplativly on his piece of doughnut.

Wycliff watched the ball's new movements quietly, finally getting that Deimos obviously didn't want the ball. He let the little thing bounce into him again, picked it up, and threw it back. It wasn't like he wanted it, either.

"Hmm, interesting. I didn;t see you as a dark chocolate person. I think Deimos would agree with you, he seems to prefer dark as well." SHe said, placing her index finger inide the doughnut hole and nubbling aorund the sides.

Deimos caught the ball and put it down, just to clap at Wycliff. It had beena good idea to save Wycliff from the bad man. He promptly picked up the ball and chucked it back, giggling and burbled cheerfully all the while.

"Ahh, dark chocolate is one kind of chocolate I really do seek out..." Tori nodded, looking around the room. "Although, it's not as if I need chocolate.." He sighed, looking down at his stomach, which was developing a bit of a pudge from him not being able to run around like he usually did; Wycliff kept him inside.

Wycliff beamed, happy to be doing the right thing. When the ball came sailing back at him, however, he paused, confused again. Well, if this was what it took to make Deimos happy. He picked up the ball, throwing it again; it bounced a couple of times, although only about half way to Deimos, before rolling.

Jizzy noticed the direction of his gaze and chuckled. "Don't worry, once they grow you won't stop moving. Trust me, once they learn to walk, they never stop."

Deimos was glad he got the game, but was easily bored, beside Wycliff didnt seem to enjoy it. "MA!" He called out loudly and pointed to a toy chest in the corner. He watched his mother get up, open the chest and leave his box of building blocks by him before sitting by the bad man again.

"I hope so..." Tori nodded, looking up again. "Maybe I can convince Wycliff to go jogging with me...Although, I have a feeling that he's going to be one of those kids who sleeps the day away..."

Wycliff watched this automatic response from Jizzy. Tori always asked him what he wanted, or waited to make sure he was right; Jizzy and Deimos seemed to have quite the bond. The little Mishap looked at the blocks, smiling. He had these at home, and was used to making things and then watching them fall over.

"Well, if you need leverage, just say Deimos and I will come too. I haven't really been out for a run a long time." Jizzy offered, finishing offf her doughnut and smacking her lips contently.

Deimos opened the box with a bit of difficulty and then dumped all the contents onto the floor with a loud crash. He tossed the box away and began to pil up the blocks, looking up at Wycliff, waiting for him to join him.

"Ahh, it is wonderful, though..." Tori nodded, wiggling his nose happily. "I shall tell him that he will look odd to Deimos if he doesn't come; I think they're pretty good friends, so that should help some..."

Wycliff scooted toward Deimos, smiling. He picked up a couple of blocks, sticking them in places where Deimos had started a pile.

"Yah, Deimos seems taken to him now.. I think he's just glad to have someone to play with." Jizzy said smiling. Deimos loved to play and prank among other things but he wasn't the most social person ever..

Deimos continued pilign blocks and when he had a sufficiently tall tower he burbled and TWHAM! Knocked the tower down with his tail. He giggled loudly, clapping in exitment. The whole fun of the blocks was knocking them down.

"I think that Wycliff will be happy to have another friend, especially one his own gender..." Tori smiled softly, thinking of their other meeting. "I think Shavira and him are hitting it off quite nicely, though.

Wycliff let out a happy squeal, trying to catch some of the blocks as they fell. His motor skills weren't the best, though, so he ended up falling over and laughing harder. Blocks were fun alone, but so much MORE fun with someone else!

"Yes. Same goes for Deimos. He adores Lenore, but she seems kind of hesitant towards him." Jizzy said, nodding her head as if to some unheard tune.

Deimos giggled and clapped and began to pile up the blocks again, this time he left them up. It was Wycliff's turn.

"Maybe they'll get to know each other more when they grow some..." Tori pouted out his bottom lip for a moment, pondering. "Speaking of getting to know, and growing...Do you think Deimos' and Wycliff's interaction counts for the quest?"

Wycliff rolled over, righting himself in front of the blocks. Instead of knocking them down with his tail, he leaned foreward, falling into them, and raining them down everwhere around him.

j**z smiled. "If that isn't possitive interaction, I don't know what is." She said smiling. "But he still has to get along with a guardian as well.." Her face fell slightly.

Deimos clapped and laughed wholeheartedly, wathcing the blocks scatter. This was so much fun. "Wy.." He burbled, hearing the bad man utter his name.

"Yus...I am glad for that..." Tori nodded, hugging Jizzy when she frowned. "Don't worry...I am sure Deimos won't be so unhappy toward all of the Guardians.."

Wycliff blinked, watching Deimos. He knew his own name, and it suprised him to hear another Mishap attempting it. "D...D...Di...." He managed to start, then smiled at his own progress. "Di! Dididididididi!"

"Hopefully he'll warm up to you too.. I enjoy your company and I'd hate for Deimos to throw a fit everytime you're here..: Jizzy said softly, sighing.

Deimos shook his head and pointed to himself. "DEI!" He said, pointing to himself again. "DEI!"

"Ahh, well..." Tori smiled, hugging Jizzy again. "I am used to babies throwing fits; you'd be suprised to know, but Wycliff is very active, and a little cranky, in the apartment we share..."

Wycliff stoped yelling, listening closely to Deimos. "Di...di..." He concentraited, willing his lips to form the word. "D...de...Dei?" His eyes widened in suprise, and he giggled happily. "Dei, DEIDEI!"

Wycliff and Deimos' Playdate -- Part 3

Jizzy chuckled slightly as Tori hugged her. SHe couldn''''t really imagine the small rhino having a temper. He seemed so serene, especially when compared to Deimos.

Deimos clapped for Wycliff and burbled happily, beggining to reconstruct the blocks. After building a tower that pleased him, he readied his tail and with a deafeaning SMACK, knowcked the tower over once more. But this time, the one block he''''d hit first with his tail continued with the momentum of the strike, succesfully conking Jizzy on the side of the head. Her eyes drooped for a moment, then closed and she slumped over into Tori''''s arms.

Tori blinked several times, easily supporting Jizzy''''s small frame. "Oh, my!" He exclaimed, lifting her as much as he could and drag-carrying her over to the bed. "Oh, Jizzy..." The tall man whispered softly, settling her down and putting several pillows behind her head. Before he even though to do it, Tori was already shuffling around the kitchen, wetting a small towel and hurridly placing it on her head.

Wycliff waved his hands around, giggling as the blocks flew everywhere. When he noticed Jizzy slumped down, he gasped, pushing Deimos to face his Guardian. "Dei, dei!"

Deimos had seen, Deimos had seen it all. His eyes were wide, ready to burst into tears. He''''d hurt mother.. He very quickly hurried over to the bed, his tiny hand reaching upwards as he made a feeble attempt to get up. He''''d hurt mother..

"Aww, it''''s okay Deimos.." Tori smiled softly, lifting the little mishap to sit next to his Guardian. "She''''ll come to in a few minutes, I''''m sure..." He gently stroked Deimos'''' hair, hoping to comfort the little guy.

Wycliff blinked several times, crawling toward the bed also. He instinctivly knew not to interfere, so he sat quietly beside his Guardian, ready to help if needed.

Tears were now streaming down Deimo''''s small face and his eyebrow wings noticably drooped, along with hsi tail. He felt the ruffling of his hair and looked up at Tori, wide eyed, listening to his words of comfort. "Ma?.. Ma?" He asked Tori, pointing to his mother, withing to be reassured once more.

Tori nodded, leaning down to hug Deimos. "Ma will be fine, Deimos..." He said, in the most comforting tones he could muster. "That cold towel should help things, although if I had some smelling salts, that would produce an automatic effect..."

Deimos listed his puffy eyes at the word smeling. Mother kept smelly things somewhere, but Deimos never knew where. He sniffed as the tears continued to flow. That was until he saw Jizzy stir.

Jizzy began to move slightly, mumbling something in what might have been another language. Her eyes began to open and the first thing she saw was the small Deimos at her side. "Hey kiddo... Did you bring me over here?" SHe asked softly, her voice slightly dreamy.

Tori smiled, settling back on a small chair to watch the pair. He lifted Wycliff from the ground, hugging him close. "See, Wy? Deimos is good at caring..." The tall man stroked his Mishap''s hair, hoping that Jizzy wasn''t feeling too rotten.

Tori's voice seemed to reenstate his precense to the drowsy girl. She smiled over at him.. "Oh, so it must have been you, Tori.. Thank you.." She told him, wraping one arm around Deimos.

Deimos nuzzled his face cheerfully against his mother's. SHe was safe. He heard her call the man's name and for the first time Deimos acknoledged it. As far as he was concerned, this 'Tori' had save Mother. This certainly did not make him a bad man, and he suposed Wy seemed to like him.

Deimos turned his eyes to Tori and witha small smile and burble uttered. "Tori.." As a symbol of his gratitude.

Tori blushed deeply, wanting to hug Deimos, but knowing that that would come later. "I am happy to help, anytime, Deimos...Your Guardian is a very, very nice person, and you are a wonderful match for her..."

Wycliff looked up at Tori, smiling and burbling a little. He was glad that everyone was okay and seemed happy again, especially Deimos and Jizzy. The little Rhino-boy didn't have much experience with pain, and always liked to see it go away.

Jizzy smiled and sat up weakly, Deimos clutching her arm protectively. "Sorry I had to well, collapse in the middle of this.. This is the first time Deimos has hit me this hard. Little guy doens't know his own strength."

"Aww, I am just glad you are safe, as are Deimos and Wycliff..." Tori nodded, rocking his little Mishap as he watched the others. "Are you feeling alright?"

"A little woozy, but that's all." Jizzy said, leaning her back against the wall by her bed.

Deimos burbled and cooed at his mother, clinging to her arm. He still felt the guilt welling up inside him for having hurt mother..

"Ah, well..." Tori stood, stepping back a little. "I think it's time for Wy and me to go, leave you two alone for a while, ne?" He nodded, smiling softly. "I shall see you later, and so will Wy!" The tall man turned, quickly shuffling out of the room; he could sense that Jizzy and Deimos needed some time, and didn't want to interrupt that.

As Deimos' guilt started to fade away slowly a new feeling started to take its place. He never had felt like this before, an hurge to move, to eat and to scream but that strangely told him to keep still and quiet
He looked around to the people surrounding him but apparently no one had noticed his building anxiety
Sudently the felling had become physical, as his bones, muscles and organs started first to contract and then to expand. Even though it only lasted a few seconds it seamed the pain had lasted for several minutes, forcing Deimos to close his eyes but not to scream

As the pain stoped as suddently as it appeared, Deimos opened his eyes and could see everyone staring at him
Looking around he slowly realized the little pieces of cloth growing from his shoulder blades were now all around his neck and the edges falling neatly along his back. He also noticed his tail was now longer and the eyebrow wings much larger

((Sorry for rp Deimos without permission but it was the only that occured me to have him grow. If you like I, or Tori, can alter this post wink ))

Jizzy's Journal -- August 30th, 2005

I can't believe it.. Deimos grew! It happened so fast I didn't even get to see it properly, but one moment I was lying on the bed with a baby next to me and the next time I look he's a toddler! I feel so proud.

He's speaking clearer now as well, though he doens't have a proper grasp of grammar, he can quite easily get his point across. I'm also going to buy him his own journal and start teaching him to write. I hope he'll do it, he's quite rebelious at times.

-- A Special Gift -- August 31th, 2005 --

It was time for another raid. Every since Deimos had became a toddler and gained the ability to walk, he''d be doing nightly sweeps of the house, exploring and discovering more of Jizzy''s hiding places as he went on. Last night, he''d found Jizzy''s hidden stash of chocolates and had successfully smuggled a few away for himself. The night before he''d found a series of mysterious books in a language Deimos was certain he''d never heard Mother speak, read or even show him before.

Tonight began like all the other nights, Deimos waited until he was sure his mother was fast asleep and started his search. Tonight it was the bathroom. He entered the darkned room, closing the door softly so his exploits could not be heard. His vision was particularlyy good in the dark, so turning on a light was never needed for him.

In a clumsy walk, his beheaded bear trailing behind him, he began going towards the toilet. He''s seen his mother open the glass cabinet many times, and now it was time to discover what was held inside. He plopped Zir on the bathroom wall. "Wait here." He told the bear, and it, of course, obliged. Then began the upscale trek to the top of Mount Flush.

A few minutes of porcelian climbing, Deimos had reached to the top of the toilet and was now in perfect reach to open to glass cabinet and gaze at its contents. He looked at himself in the mirror for a moment, adjusting Lenore''s feather that was perched on his head. He''d made a mental memo that if eh ever found something nice enough, he''d stash it and give it to Lenore the first chance he got. So far, he''d found nothing, but he hoped tonight would be different.

The cabinet creaked open as Deimos clawed hand pulled the latch. Creams, lotions, toothpaste.. Deimos'' eyes scanned down the rows, looking for anything that he may take. His eyes fell upon a particularly interesting piece inside the case. It was a small, apparently recently emptied, vial. A dark colored cap graced its top, from which a long cord emerged. It was like a necklace. Deimos wondered where Mother had gotten such a trinket, but no matter. He''d just though of the perfect gift for Lenore.

The vial put up a struggle, put after a few fierce minutes the cork came off, leaving the vial open. Then he looked back up into the cabinet and spotted the second part of his plan, Mother''s nail scissors. Deimos had to strain to get to them at the very top shelf, but he was succesful in his endeavor. Pulling the small scisor from it''s case, Deimos let the vial down gently by the sink and made a small slit on one of his clawed fingers. He dropped the scisors instantly, a faint pain spreading through him, but it was completley bearable. He picked up the vial with his good hand and let the blood slowly drip into it. Once there was a reasonable amount in it, he picked up the cork and sealed i as tight as he could.

A steady stream of water washed awayy the remnants of bood on both his hand and the vial and Deimos lifted it by the chain to inspect his work. He hoped Len would love it.

--Deimos' Midnight Visit - August 31st, 2005 (Backdated)--
Participants: Deimos, Lenore and Glass Crow

Deimos could hardly contain his exitement as he snuck outside his room, the key in one ahnd and a small pendant in the other. At the end of the pendant was a small vial, filled with what appeared to be blood, Deimos' blood.

He'd just made this gift for Lenore, as a return one for her feather. He was so exited to have finally found it that he just ahd to sneak out. He searched the doors on the floor until he found one with some letters he recognized as L, E and N. That spelled LEN! He rapped quickly on the door, bouncing on the balls of his feet in exitement.

Crow looked up from her book in confusion. Was somebody knocking at her door? She gave a quick glance over at Lenore in her metal playpen, who wore the same look of perplexion. It was midnight - no one had yet come to visit, but midnight was certainly an odd time to entertain visitors anyway. Muting the television and setting her book down on the floor, Crow made her way to the door and cracked it open, taking care to leave the chain lock on. Looking out into the plush hallway, she looked left, right, up and down.

"Deimos?!"

Taking off the chain lock and opening the door all the way, Crow looked around for Jizzy. Not seeing her with Deimos, down the hall, or hiding behind one of the hall's decorative plants, Crow knelt down to the toddler's eye level concernedly.

"Deimos, what are you doing here?"

Deimos was smiling broadly as he held up the vial pendant. The blood looked extra eerie in the dark, but Diemos held it proudly.

"Present for Len!"

He exclaimed proudly.

Crow looked at the vial in his hand carefully, and then glanced at the glossy black feather he wore in his hair. Comprehension dawning on her that this was something important for Deimos, she opened the door all the way.

"Well, why don't you come in and give it to her, and then I'll bring you back home."

"Dei?"

Lenore peered through the scratched and chipped metal bars of her playpen curiously. Why on earth was he here so late? Grabbing hold of the bars and hoisting herself up, she stood unsteadily on her toes and looked at him. What was that he was holding up to show Crow?

Deimos bound into the room proudly, making a beeline straght for Len. It wasn't until he was standing right next to her that he realized how much taller he really was. Before he and Len would see eye-to-eye and now he ahd to look down in order for his eyes to focus on her.

"I have present for you!"

He said, holding up the vial once more so lenore could see it properly.

Goodness, Deimos had gotten tall all of a sudden. Even standing at highest, Lenore hardly made it up to Deimos's chin.

"P'sent?" she asked, struggling to sound out the alien word. Looking up at Crow, who had followed Deimos closely, she held up her arms and burbled.

"Uppie!"

Crow obliged to Len's order, lifting her from the playpen and setting her down next to Deimos. Looking at the vial again, she watched a brilliant red liquid slosh around inside. Knowing full well what it was, Crow held her tongue and watched as the children interacted. Blood was an odd gift to give, but she had an idea of how important it was for Deimos to give it to Len.

"Dei? P'sent?" Len asked again, eyeing the strange object in his hand curiously.

Deimos nodded, the soft black feather that topped his head shaking in tune to the movement.

"I get present for Len. Len give me feather, me give Len present too."

Deimos explained. He pulled the string open slightly and cautiously let it drop over Lenore's neck.

Lenore held up the glass vial curiously, watching with fascination as the liquid within splashed against the clear sides. Running a thin finger over the tightly-corked top and across its smooth, cool sides, Lenore looked up again at Deimos and smiled slightly.

"P'sent fo Len?"

Lenore held the vial up for Crow, her smile growing wider.

"P'sent fo Len!"

Deimos felt his pride well up as he saw that she had enjoyed his gift. He had truly hoped she would.

"Now we both give presents. Now we friends, yes?"

Deimos said exitedly. He still remembered how thier second meeting ended in Lenore crying and being carried away from him. He didn;t wish to repeat that.

Len nodded eagerly, grasping the vial and looking up at the black feather in Dei's hair.

"Len an' Dei f'ends," she said solemnly. Examining the contents of the vial again, she admired its brilliant color and how the shaft of moonlight that came in from the window made it sparkle and shine. Aware of how closely Crow was watching her and Deimos, she looked up sternly at her guardian, holding the pendant close.

"Len keep," she said in a voice as stern as her expression.

Crow held up her hands in defense as Len gave her "the Look".

"Jeez, make me the villain, why don't ya?" she said mildly, rolling her eyes. Picking the baby up again and placing her carefully back into her playpen, Crow turned and looked down at Deimos.

"What d'you say we take you home before Jizzy gets too worried, huh Deimos?"

Deimos face fell, he'd just snuck out. WHy'd he have to go so soon? He crossed his arms fiercely and shook his head.

"Me no go. Me stay with Len!"

He exclaimed loudly. He'd just arrived. He wanted to play with Len, especialy now that she'd called him a friend.

Surprised at the strength in Deimos''s voice at his protest, Crow nodded with a slightly bemused smile.

"Okay, okay, you can stay for a bit. We''re going to go for a walk at the cemetary in a couple minutes, if you want to come with us."

Lifting Lenore out of the playpen and setting her again by Deimos''s side, Crow bustled off to find Len''s travel blanket (seeing as all the coats Crow had bought her had been torn fairly to shreds), leaving the pair to themselves.

Lenore still held the vial in her hand as she sat beside Dei quietly, looking out the window to see the moon and silvery stars that flecked the inky black sky.

"Walkies with Len?" she asked, referring to the nightly treks to the cemetary she and Crow took.

Deimos was extactic. He hadn't expected to win this argument. If this had been Mother, she'd have denied him outright. Feeling empowered by his victory, Deimos turned back to Len, nodding.

"Yuppers.. I go walk with Len.."

He said, reciting the word his mother used so often. Yuppers. Goodness, after he'd said it, he realized how terrible that sounded coming from his mouth.

Crow came back fairly quickly, wrapping Lenore up in the thick thermafleece traveling blanket and pinning it closed with a couple safety pins. Looking Deimos over, she went back to the closet and dug out one of her own fleecy sweaters and offered it to him.

"It's a bit chilly out, so you might need this," she said casually, setting the sweater down beside him before strapping Lenore into the cushy stroller Crow had rather dishonestly nicked from a baby supply store window display. (Hey, money had been tight at the time. It wasn't her fault they'd left the thing right out in the open, was it?)

Lenore bounced cheerfully in her seat, snuggling into the warm depths of her blanket.

"Dei like cem'try," she burbled. Oh, he would! It was a lovely place - the flowers and trees were so pretty, and the graves were so ornate and big! It was Len's favorite place to be, and she was eager to share it with Deimos.

Deimos eyes the sweater for a moment before clumsily putting it on. His head remained inside the jacket for a while as his arms flailed about for the sleeves. Once he had it on, he walked alongside Crow, though he was really more interested in being with Lenore.

"What a cem'try?"

Deimos asked, upon hearing Lenore use the word. He'd never heard it before, let alone ever been to one.

Crow hesitated before answering Deimos.

"A cemetary is where dead people go to be buried. There are lots of big stone statues and tablets called gravestones all over the place, and they've got things about the people carved in them about the people under them. Stuff like their name, when they were born, what they were like, that sort of thing."

Kneeling down to roll up the sleeves of Deimos's trailing sweater, she glanced over at the still-bouncing Lenore.

"And Lenore really loves to go there at night, doesn't she?"

Lenore smiled widely.

"Cem'try! Cem'try!" she screeched, kicking her feet and laughing.

Deimos shivered slightly at the prospect of a place where dead people were buried and in his mind there flashed the picture of a very old woman, limp on the side of a street. A split second after, the woman was gone and he was left staring at Crow as she rolled up his sleeves. He shook his ehad slightly, as if ttrying to get soemthing off the top of it, and then comepletely returned to reality.

"If Len like, it must be pretty, like Len."

Deimos said, his voice slighty tamer than usual, his mind still wondering about the old woman..

Crow was momentarily caught off guard by the change in Deimos's tone. It seemed as though the thought of visiting the cemetary bothered him a bit...

Maybe I really should bring him home, she though with guilt, thinking about how angry Jizzy was likely to be at her if she found out she had taken Deimos without her knowing. Leading Deimos and wheeling Lenore out into the quiet hallway, she locked the door to the room behind them and stowed the key in her pocket.

"C'mon, gang, lets go." she said cheerfully. Pushing the door that lead outside open as quietly as she could, she gave a guilty glance back at the hallway, as thougb wishing Jizzy would appear to scold her and reclaim Deimos.

As Crow steered the stroller into the cool night air, Lenore felt an overwhelming sense of happiness. How she wished that the sun wouldn't rise again, that it could stay night forever. Things were far more interesting at night, anyway - everything was far more mysterious and pretty in the moonlight.

Deimos' head gazed back at his room before he looked forward. Jizzy wouldn't notice. She slept a lot at night. She had good reason too, Deimos took quite a bit out of her, but he didn't really know that. He walked alongside Lenore's strolle, glancing at her occasionally. The old woman was gone from his midn now.

"Len likes night, yes? I do too.. It much nicer."

Deimos said, absentmindedly, though his normal defiant tone returned.

Lenore became very quiet for a second as she considered Deimos's question.

"Len like night. Yes. Len not like day." she said neutrally, thinking hard about it. She wanted to tell him more about how she felt, but found she didn't have the words to say it. Wishing she could communicate better to him, she settled back into her stroller and looked up at the brilliantly star-spangled sky.

The walk to the cemetary was quiet, the path deserted and lit only by the waxing moon. Crow pushed the stroller along pensively, rather glad to have Deimos's company. The cemetary itself was a serene, though sad, place. But the path made Crow terribly uneasy - it brought to mind horror movies she had watched far too often too late at night that set her nerves to tension.

Looking down at Deimos, she smiled as he ambled along in her too-big sweater.

"Deimos, why did you sneak out of your room to give Len that necklace?"

Deimos pondered for a moment. He looked up at the sky as he thought, the sleeves rolling back down his arms naturally. He ended up shrugging.

"In one of mother's book, uh.. 'equilent exchange'.. Something for something just as important. Len give me feather, I give Len present."

Deimos tried to explain. He felt a chill rushed past him and he was suddenly very glad to be wearing Crow's sweater.

The exchange Deimos spoke of sounded particularly familiar, but Crow decided not to comment as they came upon the wrought iron entrance to the cemetary. Pushing the stroller past the open gates and onto the smoothly paved pathway that snaked through the graevyard, she went along until she came upon the usual path through the newer graves that looped around back to the enterance.

"We're gonna make the visit a bit quick tonight, okay Len?" she said, peering down the moonlight-dappled pathway.

Lenore looked around the cemetary contentedly. Something in her new this was where she belonged, instead of cooped up in HQ. She was in her element here, whether she consciously knew it or not.

"Short walkies?" she asked, glancing over at Deimos. They usually stayed for an hour, visiting the graves and laying flowers on some of the more neglected tombs. Surely Deimos was the reason they had to leave early. Gripping the vial pendant tightly under her thick blanket, Lenore gave a sigh. She supposed losing time in things she loved to do was another catch to this "friendship" thing, but she would get herself used to it. After all, Deimos hadn't been forced to be nice to her.

Deimos seemed unphazed as they entered the graveyard. He wasn't exactly comfortable, though. The dead bodies around him unerved him slightly, and for some reason made his stomach churn wth guilt, as if it was his fault all these people had died. But a short glance at Lenore made his determination rise. He was here for her, so she wouldn't be mad at him anymore.

"I want to stay. Len like here, so does Dei."

He exclaimed, though his eyes shifted around the graves, his stomach churning once more. Why did this place give him such a bad feeling?

The sense of peace Lenore had felt when they had entered the graveyard was quickly shattered. Coming from the depths of the cemetary, at the center where the oldest graves where, was the awful sound of a shovel screeching against wood and rock as it delved into the earth, digging up something never again meant to see the light of night. With a hissing cry for Crow and Deimos to silence themselves, she leaned towards the source of the sound, listening hard.

"Would ya hurry up and just crack the damned thing open already?"

"Aw, shut up, ya git. If you'd the guts to dirty your hands a bit, we'd be out of this bleedin' bone yard and off selling this wretched locket already."

Loathing filled Lenore up like poison. These were not innocent visitors to her precious cemetary, they were -

"Grave robbers," Crow hissed, grabbing hold of Deimos and holding him close. Cursing her horrible luck, she tried to drag the stroller into the long shadow of a nearby masoleum.

Lenore felt the sudden shift in the stroller as Crow tried to drag it to safety. Sawing at the thick blanket with her arm blades, nearly free, she turned to face Crow in a rage.

"NO!"

Crow felt a thrill of horror as she heard the scratching sounds of digging cease, and the first raspy voice echo across the graveyard.

"What the hell was that?"

Deimos felt Crow drag him in and he was about to question her when the voices drifted to his ears. He froze and his feelings were blank for a moment. He cared nothing about the grave robbers as long as they didn't bother him, but at Lenore's shout he spun around. These men made Lenore unhappy. He felt anger flare inside him. Lenore was HIS friend and noone upset her. His eyesbrow wings perked up in anger and his frown was pronouced. He tried to break free from Crow.

"Men no bother Len no more. Dei get rid of them!"

Crow felt her grasp on Deimos weakening as the boy struggled to get away from her.

"Deimos, no!" She cried in a whisper, terrified to be overheard. Trying to hide in the shadow the mausoleum cast while keeping hold of Deimos and wheeling the stroller with her, Crow gave a squeak as she heard heavy footsteps echo muffled across the grass.

"Whats this that's come to interrupt us?" a hoarse voice asked in an oily sweet tone to the gravestones.

With a final great swipe from an particularly sharp feather, Lenore cut herself free from the blanket and cumbersome straps of the stroller. She didn't care that she was only an infant, that she could hardly be seen as a threat - this was her cemetary, and damned be him that harmed it. Leaning forward and waving her arms awkwardly, she fell to the ground lightly and pulled herself up into a sitting position on the edge of the path, only her eyes and shining metal wings illuminated by the silver moonlight.

Crow bit back a cry of horror as she saw Lenore tumble out of the stroller, trying to reach out to her but unable to keep a good grip on the struggling Deimos at the same time. Try as she might, she couldn't reach...

The footsteps grew sharper as the man stepped onto the paved path, the heels of his boots clicking omniously on the stone. He shone a light about, briefly illuminating the mausoleum. He turned to keep searching, but then turned back and aimed his flashlight beam at the front of the temple-like structure again. A tiny form sat omniously still in front of it, bizzare silver things protruding from its small arms and a vial of blood tied to it's neck with a string.

"Huh?"

With a striking spark of rage, Deimos wrenched free from Crow's grasp. He rushed to Lenore's side, ready to defend her if needed. He could see the men past the corner and his cloak bristled behind him.

"Shh.. Len.. We get them.."

He said softly, bracing himself for the assault.

"Wos this then?" the man asked Lenore, shining the light into her eyes. "Some lil' brat that's lost her mummy?"

Lenore ignored Deimos as he stood by her side, ready to protect her. She bore the man's insult and the painful light in silence. She looked the man over, unimpressed. He was lean to the point of emaciation, and bore the dirtied look of a person who had lived in squalor for a lifetime, and had a personality to match his physical filth.

"Hmph."

The grunt of indifference seemed to anger the man. Setting his flashlight down and striding forward, he seized Lenore and held her aloft.

"Lil' runt. Where's your mummy at? Or did she just leave ya here to fend fer yourself?" He examined her obviously inhuman features, the metal wings, the tail of feathers.

"Ugly lil' critter, aren't you?" He asked, examing her spindly fingers. Taking an uninterested look at the vial of blood around her neck, he set her down again and spit on her, bending down to retrieve his flashlight.

It was then that he noticed Deimos and Crow.

"What in the- " he began, startled.

Lenore felt the stinking spittle slide down the side of her face, and anger that no infant should have been able to even know how to feel bubbled up in her. Letting instinct take over, she felt pulled herself up to a crouch, wings outstretched as though ready to take flight. The man had turned from her, his guard was down -

Crow bolted out from the shadow of the mausoleum, making a beeline for the man. No one treated Lenore like that, not if she could have a say in it -

Lenore felt her body become more and more tense, every muscle, every cell charged with energy she hadn't had seconds before. She knew something was happening, something bad, but she made no effort to stop it. She felt stronger, better -

Crow plowed into the man, kicking and swinging at the air. Despite his skeletal build, he threw her off easily, pushing her into the marble columns of the mausoleum. She gave a gasp and clutched at the back of her head, feeling as though it had split open -

As Lenore watched Crow fall to the ground in pain, her world suddenly shifted. She was high, high in the air, speeding towards the man, razor-feathers outstretched and ready to cut him apart. She didn't know how she had gotten airborne; she looked down at her arms and found they were wings - nothing even vaguely resembling a human remained of her form.

"Skreeeeeya!"

The man jumped and looked upwards, straining to see what had made such an unearthly sound.

At first, Deimos just watched, his eyes wide. As the man spit on Lenore, he felt his rage bubble benath the surface. He was about to strike when Crow plowed into the man and after he threw her off, Deimos snapped. His cloak seemed to float with a nonexistant wind as he stood there and then he plowed right into the man, a clawed hand formed into a tiny fist, though his small hand held more strength than any would think. He heard a shout about, but for now, disregarded it as he sent a flying punch towards the man's stomach.

The man gave a shout of pain and looked down to see what had hit him. Another child, looking almost demonic, assailed him relentlessly. With a quick move he siezed the boy and made as though to toss him, but paused as he got a good look at him.

"What in the name o' God are you, boy?" he asked in a strangled whisper.

"Skreeeeeya!"

The shrieking sound came again, and the man dropped Deimos in a panic. Something like a shadow, something huge, had just narrowly missed his head. Stumbling and turning to run, he heard a distinct whoosh of wings and a dull ringing sound, almost like bells. Looking around, he only saw Deimos and Crow, who was still cradling her head as she staggered after him.

Whoosh.

"AGH!"

The man clutched his shoulder, where a deep cut had suddenly split his flesh. So quick and so cleanly had the injury been caused, it didn't even bleed. Turning to run and stumbling over his own feet, the man landed heavily on the pavement and began to crawl away.

Deimos's eyebrow wings flaped slightly in anger as his cloak continued to flutter. He watched the man scuttle away and smirked, small fangs showing in his smile. Len had gotten him.

He chose to ignore the man's question as he lunged at him again, though he was injured, he didn't care. The thrill of the fight had filled him and he woulnd't stop till the threat was gone.

Crow watched the man slink away in defeat, dizzy and slightly nauseous from her injury. Touching the area gingerly, she winced as she felt blood trickle into her hair. Her only thought was to find Lenore, drag Deimos off of the grave robber, and sprint back to HQ as fast as was humanly possible.

Only, Lenore wasn't there.

"Len?"

Forgetting her injury, she looked around frantically for her Mishap.

"Len, Songbird, where'd you go?"

She heard a loud grunt of pain from the grave robber and ran at him, kicking him savagely.

"Where is she, you son of a-"

The man took a swipe at her legs, knocking her feet out from under her. He immediately gave a shout of pain, clutching at his shoulder. Rolling onto her side and delivering a quick blow to his injury, she gave an almost vicious smile as he howled again, and quickly grabbed him 'round the throat.

"What did you do with my baby?" She hissed at him. The man gave no reply, only stared in horror at the looming mausoleum behind her. Turning and following his gaze, she felt her mouth drop open.

Perched on the grieving marble seraph on the mausoleum's spire was a giant bird, more shadow than substance. Its black, vaporous wings were tipped in silver, blade-like feathers shining as it reflected the bright moonlight. Around its neck was a vial of blood, tied to a string.

"Lenore?" Crow asked simply. The bird cocked its head down to look at her before suddenly fading away. A small human figure emerged from the shadow, keening and crying bitterly.

The man gave a roll out from under Crow, twisting away so that she lost her grip on his throat. Staggering upwards and clutching at the deep, but still bloodless, gash in his shoulder, he turned and ran screaming.

"Demons! Demons and birds and mad women!" He screeched. The man's partner, at last deciding to see what had taken the first so long to investigate, gaped at the trio and at the disheveled man who was screaming at him.

"Richard, what the hell-"

But Richard payed no attention to the other's question, simply grabbing him by the shirt and taking off like a shot towards the cemetary gates, still raving about birds.

Deimos hissed at the backs of the running men, placing his finger under his eye and sticking his finger out at them. His tail swished in triumph and his cloak returned to its normal limp form. He began to walk over to Crow, when his eyebrow wings lifted. He smelt blood. His eyes began to scan the park for the blood, his eyes finally resting upon Crow's hair. His face fell, he couldn't take blood from Crow, both Len AND Mother would be mad at him if he did.. He simply strode over to Crow, following her gaze to where Lenore was.

"WHy Len on the roof!?"

He cried out. They had to get her down.

Crow watched the grave robbers run away, and then turned her attention back to the problem at hand. Running a hand over the marble, she looked for a proper foothold. The old tomb was strangled with thick half-dead vines - it would have to do.

"I'm going to have to climb up and get her," she said to Deimos. Hoisting herself up onto one of the vine-ensnarled columns, she slowly pulled herself up. Lenore continued to cry, beating at the stone-shingled roof of the mausoleum. Pulling herself up onto the roof, Crow edged her way towards Lenore, singing snatches of Lenore's favorite lullaby to calm her down.

Lenore calmed down slightly as she heard Crow singing. Snuffling and wiping her eyes clumsily, she turned to look at her guardian.

Crow smiled as she warily crept up to the spire, gathering Lenore up in her arms. The climb down was much harder holding onto Lenore, but Crow finally managed to get down again. Tucking the still sniffling child into her stroller and tying her in with the slashed straps, Crow turned to Deimos tiredly and gingerly brushed her fingers against her injury again.

"I definately think it's time to head home."

Deimos wasn't wasn't paying much attetnion, his eyes focused on Crow's wound, but he soon snapped back to reality and nodded. "k.. we go home.." He said reluctantly moving over to the sniffling Len's side. "Len no cry. Len strong. Len help Dei get the bad men away.. Len no cry.." He said to her firmly.

Crow noted the peculiar expression on Deimos's face as he caught the scent of her blood, and sidestepped away from him a bit. Steering the stroller back up the shadowed path to HQ, she pulled out a handkerchief to staunch the bleeding, wincing as she put pressure on the gash.

The walk back to HQ was tense and quiet in a sense, though Lenore was still sniffing and hiccuping with misery. Crow pushed the door open as quietly as she could, and lead Deimos to the door to his and Jizzy's room. She knelt down and brushed him off, looking him squarely in the eyes.

"Deimos, it's really important to not tell Jizzy what you saw, okay? Me and Lenore have to figure some stuff out, but until we do, don't say a word. Okay?"

Tugging the sweater off of him absently, she glanced warily over at the stroller. Lenore sat wrapped in her tattered blanket, tears mixing with the flow from her runny nose. Sensing her guardian's glance, Len looked up and gave a watery smile that quickly faded away again. Crow sighed and bade Deimos good night, pushing the stroller back to her room.

Closing the door behind her with a sharp snap and locking it with the bolt, chain, and a chair lodged under the doorknob, Crow sat on the floor in front of the stroller and watched Lenore quietly as she eventually stopped crying, her eyelids drooping and eventually closing. Crow glanced at the clock - it was only 1:30, way before Lenore's usual bedtime. Decinding it best to let her sleep, Crow removed Len from the stroller and tucked her into her cradle. Settling into her armchair in front of the television, she stared blankly at the screen and thought about what had happened until she, too, had fallen asleep, many hours later.

--Pirates, Magic and Midgets - September 3rd--
Participants: Deimos, Jizzy, Rex/King, Silencer Wolf, Osso, Klaz and Azumi

Crouching down, slowly, slowly, quietly... Deimos' red eyes were fixed upon a small gecko basking up rays on a rock. Deimos was trying to stealthily sneak up on it, but stealth was not Deimos' strong point. Halfway to the gecko, he gave a loud battle cry and pounced. The gecko scurried off before Deimos could even get his small hands close to him. "Damnit.." He murmured, immitating the word he'd heard both his mother and Lenore use.

Jizzy was watching Deimos intently from a chair near the terrace. A book lay closed on the table beside her as did a small jar of lemonade Deimos had asked her to prepare before going out. She had cheerfully obliged, much prefering to go into the sweltering heat along with a cold drink. She picked up her glass, slightly wet from the condensation on the side and took a long drink, watching Deimos scan the grounds for the lizard once more.

A small, white Jetta came to a parked state on the curb next to the Mishaps HQ. It took a few minutes for Azumi to get Osso out of his carseat and finally lock up. When the familiar 'click click' told that the car was secure, the pair made their way up and into the HQ. "My, it's a lot warmer down here than at home, huh, Osso?" she spoke tenderly to the babe you had become quieter all of a sudden.

Osso had just said his first word, or so Azumi thought, and as a treat she brought him here to meet some other mishaps that may be about.... And to pick up the laundry she had forgotten yesterday.

As they walked down the hall and were about to go into the laundry room, Azumi's wolf ears caught the voices from outside. When the sounds were caught, the Noir smiled and started to speak to Osso again while turning on her heel to head outside, "seems like there's people up and about! Maybe you'll get to see Lenore again."

With that the bone child blinked and deep down in his stomach butterflies of worry started to flutter about. He wasn't sure if he wanted to see Len again so soon, those questions about yesterday's meeting bounced around in his head for the second time today.

Grasping the door knob, the werewolf opened up the back door and was greeted by the hot air. Looking around from the doorway, wine hued eyes found another woman laying in a chair on the porch. "'Ello," she said cheerfully while Osso was a little sad/ releaved when it wasn't Len, but a new person.

Jizzy's head turned as the greeting reached her ears and she beamed at the new person and her mishap. "Well, hello there!" She called out, waving them over, indicating to the pitcher and glasses on the table. She then turned out to the yard. She wanted Deimos to interact a bit more. "Deimos! Lemonade!" She cried out.

Deimos was about to find the gecko again (at least he thought that) when he heard his mother call his name. The word lemonade soon followed after and thoughts of the gecko faded as he turned round and began rushing back to the terrace. His cloak billowed behind his as his tail swished in joy. He didn't even notice the other people on the terrace yet.

Azumi gave a large smile to the lemonade offer and she made her and Osso's way to the empty chairs. Taking a seat, she placed Osso on her lap before introducing herself ,"I'm Azumi and this is Osso." Flicking her black wolf ears, she turned her head and looked out to the yard where this kind person had called to someone. Soon the eyes of the werewolf and the bone Mishap watched as a yung boy ran towards the porch.

Osso watched with hollow sockets as this other boy ran towards them and the other big person. Suddenly, a small clicking sound came from a pocket in the bone child's jeans that were apparently too long for the babe. With a chubby hand, Osso pulled out the chittering murk gwipple who chortled happily to finally be out of the small pocket.

"Osso! What's Klaz doing here?" Azumi stated in astonishment when she heard Klaz's noise.

"Klaz!" stated Osso stubbornley before hugging the black gryphon looking imp, one hollow eye still on the approaching boy.

Silencer groaned, and rubbed her eyes sleepily. Looking up she blinked as a feather danced in front of her eyes, and plopped her head back onto her arms. Wait... feathers? Glancing up once again, the girl caught sight of her mishap chasing a duck, and shot to her feet before you can say 'quarrk!'.

"Rexier Gaver! Stop chasing that poor thing!"

Seeing that the youngster was showing no sign of slowing down, the young woman shook her head, and made to go after the mishap. It was only then she noticed another figure standing nearby. All thoughts of stopping Rexier and his duck vanished.

Rexier Gaver was having the time of his life scaring the life out of the poor mandarin duck he was chasing. It was great exercise for the energetic tyke, and he cared not the least about traumatising the poor creature.

"Come duck! Come to Rex, food time!"

Somehow, it sounded extra frightening to the duck when the mishap said that. Flappering harder, it caught sight of a other larger beings, and ran for cover between them, defying all natural duck instincts.

"Warrk!"

"Aha!"

Rex dove, hands outstretched and slammed right into something that was not his mother.

"I'm Jizzy and this is Deimos.." Jizzy said, following up the introduction. "Pleasure to meet you." She said, taking a glass and pouring a bit of lemonade into it, sliding it across the table to Azumi, then filling another one for Dei. After she'd finished her, eyes caught on a small Mishap who was.. well, tormenting ducks would be the right way to describe it. He began rushing thier way and slammed right into.. ouch...

The thing Rex had slammed into, was Deimos, who was waiting anxiously to get to his glass of lemonade. Deimos stumbled forward and tried to catch his balance. Once he did he flipped around, eyes flaring. The nerve. His cloak seemed to flutter behind him as he made a small hissing noise at Rex. "Watch it!" He exclaimed.

Rex groaned, and rubbed his head. At Deimos's voice he blinked, and looked up to see another mishap about his age. Getting up, he brushed imaginary dirt off himself, and looked down blankly at Deimos.

"Eh? Sorry," the mishap said distractedly, narrowing an eye at the duck under the table. His tail swished, and it was then that King let out a low pitched growl from behind him.

Deimos humphed and his eyes lunged slightly upon Rex, upon King's low growl he looks around to find the source of such a wierd noise, but jsut saw this wierd thing coming out of the other Mishap's head. "Just don't do it again." He said grumpily, picking up his lemonade glass with both hands and clumsily drinking it

Jizzy smiled down at Rex, letting Deimos' rudeness slide, this time.

"Hello.. Would you like some lemonade?"

She asked kindly

Rex's eyes followed Deimos as he walked to the back of his head, but did not his head. He had been puzzled, as a baby, at what others found so interesting behind him but knew now of the other life back there. So he simply stood there, tail waving about behind him...

And ducked(pun not intended) under the table with surprising speed suddenly, before reappearing a moment later with a triumphant expression, the duck clasped firmly in his hands. Despite the mishap's strength, he did not hurt it.

Turning around Rex found himself facing a kindly young woman. The mishap sniffed the lemonade scented air, and nodded at her offer.

"Yes please."

Jizzy's smiled widened. What a polite little boy. Deimos almost never said please, no matter how had she tried to drill the word into his head. She filled up a small glass of lemonade and handed it gently to Rex. "There you go.. What's your name, little guy?" She asked gently.

Deimos quickly chugged his drink, licking his lips with his forked tounge once he finished. He stuck his hand out, glass and all to his mother. "More!" He cried out.

"Say please.." Jizzy said, as she did many times before.

Deimos grumbled and mumbled something under him breath before screwing up his face, as if saying something dirty. "More.. please..." He hissed, and his glass was soon filled with lemonade. He cast a dirty glance at Rex. He hadn't had to speak twice to get his lemonade.

Osso watched in awe at these two boys. He had never seen people this tall before...They were taller than him and Len, but shorter than his mother and the other lady. After much contemplation, Osso came up with what he thought was the solution to the strange height of these people.

"Mishgits!" he said that was followed by some pointing and giggling," di mishgits."

"Osso!" Azumi slapped her forehead with her palm and let a sigh blow from her lips.

Osso squealed and laughed as he clapped his hands, blonde locks falling in front of his hollow eyes. Klaz clicking his beak to join in with his young companions joy while perching on the small shoulder.

"Sorry...He's been starting to say words now and well..." the werewolf apologized while shaking her head at her charge's other new word.

"Klaz mishgits!" a chubby finger pointed to Deimos then to the other new kid.

Deimos almost spit out his lemonade as his eyes bugged out and glared at the small skeletal child. His look gave him the creeps. He finished his juice andgryly and slammed the small plastic glass onto the table. "I no midget!" He exclaimed angryly and then rumbled as an afterthought.. "I growing.."

Jizzy couldn't help but laugh out loud at Deimos' outburst. She laughed for a while, before regaining her composure and trying to explain. "It's alright.. Deimos just doesn't like being called short..

"I NOT SHORT!

Osso tilted his head to the right at one of the 'mishgits' outburst,"no mishgit?" He asked quizically. Then he looked up at his mother and told her Deimos was,"no mishgit," but then pointed to the other boy and said,"mishgit."

Azumi smiled as her charge told who and who wasn't a 'mishgit' before looking to Deimos,"you'll have to excuse Osso, dear, he doesn't know what's what," she said this with a laugh in her voice. Black wolf ears perked forward to catch all things said by anyone as her fluffy tail laid itself next to her leg on the chair.

The bone child gave another little smile before he plucked Klaz off his shoulder and held the imp out a little to show this new, muttering, boy.

The murk gwipple sat in Osso's hands, tall black ears flicking as large mint green lanterns peered owlishly at the two in front of him.

Deimos still looked rather upset at being called a midget and he humphed slightly as Azumi began to speak. "No excuse. Osso see me, I no midget. He have no reason call me midget!" He said angryly, his arms crossed over his chest. His eyesbrow wings were raised in anger and defiance.

Jizzy shook her head slightly. "Dei, be nice.." SHe said softly, just to remind her charge that was there watching him..

Rex looked from the glass to his hands. Ah, his hands are full. After a moment of brief contemplation, the child placed his duck onto Jizzy's lap, and took the drink happily.

"Thank you. My full name Rexier Gaver," he said, sniffing at the drink new to him that was Jizzy's lemonade. He had never tried it before, and decided the smell was quite pleasing. Then he dipped his tongue into it, and loved it immediately. Looking up at Jizzy once again, he pressed a finger to his chest. "I'm Rex," he said, and turned his head slightly to reveal a bored-looking young tyrannosaur. "Him, King."

At Deimos's dirty glance, the mishap scratched his head, and returned to his lemonade. "What is this?"

It was then that Rex noticed Osso, and he peered at the skeletal child over the brim of his glass. Blinking, it took him a few seconds to process what mishgit really meant, until Deimos bursted out that he was not a 'midget'. Ah, so that's it. Not knowing what it meant(Silencer never had the use for it - Rex/King is 4.7ft tall), he simply nodded, and echoed, "Mishgit."

King meanwhile, rumbled unhappily, together with his stomach. He was hungry, and there were no food in sight - only disgusting, green grass. His nose caught the scent of something he had never smelled before(lemonade), and the dinosaur sniffed harder.

"Hrr... rieer..."

Jizzy feld pride swell up inside her as Rex seemed to like her lemonade. "Pleasure to meet you, Rex. I'm Jizzy, and what you're drinking there is called lemonade." She explained in a kind voice.

Deimos look incredulously over at Rex after taking another long swig from his lemonade. There were two reasons for this. One was that Deimos refused to believe that he ahd never heard of lemonade before and the second was that Rex was a good foot taller than Deimos and he was calling himself a midget. He had to object. "You no Midget, Rex! No listen to Osso. You very tall and big!" He said.. He couldn't allow this skeletal mishap to go around calling people Midgets.

Despite Osso's age and the fact that he was much shorter than any person there, he understood some of what Dei was saying. Sticking is tongue out at the demon boy he soon followed up his retaliation by muttering,"mishgit..."

It was a good thing that Azumi didn't hear the muttering or her child because she probably would've taken him home for being rude. Instead she was intently listening and watching the two toddlers and sipping her lemonade. A smile grew on her lips when Rex spoke and it got a little bigger when she saw the t-rex that was attached behind him; she was a big 'animal lover'.

Small eyebrows rose when Osso saw the little t-rex as well. How interesting! Never had something like this been seen by the bone child and he was very curious.

"Lemonade..."

Rex downed the entire content of the glass, and licked his lips in satisfaction. He would have to bug his mother to buy or make some of these lemonade drinks. He looked up at Jizzy, and flashed her the biggest grin he could manage.

"Thanks, they're good..."

Rex then turned to face Deimos, and frowned. Puzzled, he thought about the demon mishap''s words for a little, then finally understood what Osso had been going at. And what mishgit and midget meant.

"Rex no midget indeed! Rex tallest mishap, Mother said." This the boy exclaimed with pride, having no idea that there was another much, much taller than the child - Jabir.

"But it's okay! Osso happy calling Rex midget, Rex be midget for Osso" And he blinked back at the youngest mishap there.

Jizzy was positively beaming. "I'm glad you like it, Rex.." SHe said taking the glass and placing it aside, just in case eachof them wanted a bit more. SHe took another long drink from her glass.

Deimos' eyes flared as he heard the comment and his cloak seemed to bristle and float slightly. "I no MIDGET!" He burst out at Osso, then he rounded on Rex. "ANd you no midget either! You can't let Osso push you 'round!!" He said, not as angrily, but just as sternly. How could Rex just sit back and take that from that bony munchkin.

Osso giggled a little bit before shoving Klaz out to show Rex,"Klaz!" The little boy announced proudly. The statements from Deimos were completely ignored as he beamed at his little pet.

Klaz sunk a little low in his bone companion's hands. The black furred imp had smelled and heard the reptilian creature attached to the tallest boy. If it wasn't for the fact that Klaz was so dedicated to Osso, he'd be hiding in Azumi's fluffy black tail.

Azumi laughed a little at Rex's statement at not being short either. Turning her gaze to Jizzy, she asked, "How long have you had Deimos?"

Rex laughed. What a sight Deimos was! He could not understand why a simple comment of Osso's part would get the boy so worked up. To him it was just a harmless little word; he would not be turned into one just because someone said so.

Moving closer to the demon boy, Rex held out a hand, and patted his shoulder in an attempt to calm him. "Alright, Rex no midget. Rex will be big and great one day. Same with you." He nodded firmly, and gazed confidently down at Deimos.

"What your name, by the way?"

King had laid eyes on Osso, and his curiousity was sparked. What an interesting looking creature! the tyrannosaur gazed quietly at Osso, huffing a little now and then. As a black little creature was held out to him, King cocked his head, and leaned forward as much as he could to try to get a sniff at it.

This caused Rex almost stumbled backwards and the boy grabbed the edge of the table firmly to stop himself from crushing his 'twin'. Turning around to see what had excited King, he caught sight of Klaz, and gave it a gentle pat on the head.

"Strange creature, aren't you?" he said, and turned around again as King started protesting.

"Almost a month now.." Jizzy replied.. wow.. A whole month already. Jizzy glanced over at Deimos. She'd survived a whole month.

Deimos' cloak returned to its limp form and he seemed to calm slightly, though he still cast and angry glance over at Osso. "Deimos. My name is Deimos.." He said in response to Rex's question, ratehr content now that Rex wasn't listening to Osso's rude words. His eyes paused for a moment on Klaz, the small black creature intriguing him, but he didn't want to get near Osso or have anything to do with him at the moment.

Klaz chittered as the mint green lanterns watched the T-rex lean towards him, but the chittering soon changed to a happy chortle when he was petted by the boy.

Osso gave a happy smile and became intensely interested when he saw King. "Izerd!" He gave a shrill giggle as he made set down Klaz and made grabby hands towards the t-rex. Hollow eyes became slightly covered by pale blonde locks as the bone child continued to reach out.

Azumi gave a look of suprise towards all the words Osso was saying all of a sudden. Odd....But her attention soon went back to Jizzy to hear her answer,"that is a good period of time! They grow up so fast, don't they?" She said even though she never had never been in charge of something like a child before...Azumi wasn't always the best with conversing...

The smell of freshly baked doughnuts filled the air suddenly. As sudden as she disappeared, Rexier''s guardian emerged from the doorway, carrying a plate of warm, assorted doughnuts. As she approached the group''s table, she smiled, and nodded a greeting.

"Hello! Doughnuts, anyone?" Placing the plate on the table, she moved towards an empty chair beside the Azumi and sat down on it.

King blinked, and cocked his head at the curious little black creature in front of him. He opened and closed his mouth, before blowing warm air at it. Looking up, he saw Osso reaching towards him; the tyrannosaur mistook Osso's friendly intention for a threat - baring his fangs, he growled in a non-too friendly manner.

"Now King, no growling at others like that."

Taking this opportunity Rex moved away from osso towards the table, and grabbed two donuts resembling grilled meat - his favourite. He looked around for some to match King's taste, and fished some random ones out for King. Then he offered the former to Deimos.

Jizzy's senses were filled with the sweet smell of doughnuts and she could already feel herself drooling. "Well Hello.. I'm Jizzy, this is Deimos." She said as a greeting, eyeing the doughnuts hungryly.

Deimos scrwed up his face slightly at the sight of the grilled meat doughnuts. He couldn't bear it, especialy not with the smell of blood in the air. He glanced at the box of doughnuts, spotting the one that was tantalizing his sense and scooped it up, taking a large bite. After a fierce glare from his mother, he gulped and murmured. "Thank you.."

"Hi Jizzy! Pleased to meet you." Silencer smiled, and her eyes wandered off towards Deimos. He was a handsome child, she noticed, and interest provoking. But then again, all mishaps were interesting. That was what made them such unique beings.

"You're welcome, Deimos. Help yourself, there are plenty more where that came from," she said, with a nod. "The minishop sure sells some wonderfully unique things," she continued, "I've never thought there would be such a thing as a kiwi doughnut, or even a hotdog ice lolly for that matter..."

Rex peered at his doughtnut, turning it over. It looked good enough to him; maybe Deimos doesn't like grilled meat. The child shrugged, and finished it in two mouthfuls before grabbing another and making his way to Silencer. He took a bite out of his third, and handed the previous, non grilled ones to her.

Silencer took them from Rex and, nibbling on one(for this she received a glare from King), fed them to the t-rex. She chuckled at his non-too-happy glare, and patted his muzzle gently.

"Oh come on, don't give me that look. I do have something else for you, you know..." The woman reached for one of her pant pockets, and took out a... raw meat? ice lolly. She tore the packaging off, and placed it in King's open mouth. It disappeared in a single crunch, and she sighed, putting the stick in the package. It seemed such a waste to give the dinosaur treats - all he did was giving them a crunch and swallow, never really taking the time to enjoy them properly.

"Rex, get Jizzy and this lady here," she nodded at Azumi, "some doughtnuts, will you?"

"Mm!" The boy reached for the plate and went first to Jizzy, then Azumi. "Doughnuts?"

Jizzy gazed at the doughnut box for a moment before selecting a chocolate glazed one. She couldn't help herself. Once a chocoholic, always a chocoholic. She took a small bit from it and sighed. "Thank you." She said kindly to Rex, glanicng up at Silencer and nodding a thanks to her as well.

Deimos promplty finished his doughnut and upon hearing that he could help himself, his red eyes flickered with joy. He looked into the box, having a hard time choosing between the raw meat and the blood. He concluded with the blood, you couldn't go wrong with that. He finished it swiftly and gave a small sigh, his bloodlust currently satisfied.

Azumi gave a large smile to Rex as he showed her the doughnut box. "Hmm..." she thought aloud before picking up a chocolate covered one as Jizzy had done. The Noir werewolf was also a huge chocolate fanatic and could never resist the urge.

Osso leaned back against his mother to try and see what was in the box, but he was just too small. When he saw Azumi take out an item, his first action was to tug on her shirt then to point at the treat.

Just before she took a bite, she sighed and tore off a small piece and handed it to Osso, who soon tore off a smaller piece and fed it to Klaz. Suckered in to sharing again...Osso was the only one who could get her to share chocolate.

Deimos gave Osso a short glare. Couldn't he get his own doughnut? He just had to take Azumis, didn't he? He dove into the box for a chocolate doughnut, not being to resist any longer. His mother had gotten him hooked on the stuff. He finished it off in only a few bites and looked around at Osso. He began to walk towards the small child, glaring at him. He looked him up and down, then spoke. "You tiny." He said simply..

Osso looked up at Dei as the boy aproached him, though his sight was slightly blurred due to the hair that fell in his face. Upon hearing the words, the bone child thought a little bit about what was said. 'You tiny'....That's kind of what Azumi said about Klaz one day-for some odd reason. He also then remembered the demon child saying that he was 'big' and not a 'mishgit'.

It was after some time that the babe managed to put these words correctly and pointed a sticky finger at Dei,"Di...big?" He said the words with uncertanty as he wasn't one hundred percent sure if he had told this boy the right thing.

A sly grin spread across Deimos' face as he nodded. ABout time he'd gotten it right. "Yeah. I big. You tiny." He said, pointing to each of them respectively. "Someday you may be big like me, but prolly not." He said, a hint of arrogance in his voice. He felt good at being bigger than Osso, unlike Rex who was much taller than the demon.

Osso nodded his bone marked head and his own small smile showed once more. Finally this boy showed a small hint of being nice, though even if he didn't, Osso wouldn't have cared too much.

Klaz clicked his beak and chittered a little at this demon boy. Mint green lanterns of a large size peered owlishly from Osso's shoulder.

Hearing his little friend's sounds, the bone child pointed for a second at the imp before saying," 'e Klaz."

Deimos eyed Klax curiously before reaching his hand towards the small black imp. "Klaz even tinier.." He said simply, feeling very big indeed. He seemed to swell up even with pride, before he looked up at Osso once more. "Klaz cool, but Zir better." He said in reference to the headless bear Jizzy ahd made him leave in the room. "One day you meet Zir, and you see."

Klaz eyed Dei's hand and almost scrambled away, but because it was Osso's shoulder he was perched on, the imp went no where. Instead, a tiny gryphon looking head lowered itself and long furry tufts, which represented ears, pressed against head and body.

Osso listend intently to Deimos and became curious when this 'Zir' was brought up. Who was Zir? Was it like Klaz? " Who Zzz....Zi.."He tried to sound the name out,"zziii...Zir?"

Deimos look at Osso as if he was insane for a moment before he realized that not everyone had been introduced to the wonderfulness of Zir. "Zir is my bear. Ai give it to me. Ai pretty. But Zir is best. Zir was pirate once, but he tell Dei that I can't be pirate yet. " He said quite exitedly. To him, Zir was a living being, his best friend so to say.

Now Deimos had all of Osso''s attention though many questions started to form in the child''s mind. Pirate? What was a Pi-rate? Bear? Osso knew what that was because Azumi had shown him a picture of one...They were big. Did Deimos have a big bear that was a pi-rate? "Zir big?" Asked the bone child. He wanted to know more about this Zir bear.

Deimos shook his head violently. Did he know nothing? "Zir about.. this big!" He said making the size of a medium teddy bear in his hands. "He go on many adventures, and he fight bad guys and everything. But he got hurt, so I have to carry him." Deimos said matter of factly.

"Ohhhhh...." replied Osso when Dei showed him the size of Zir. The boy was a little confused as to how a bear could be that big, but Osso didn't bother to ask that question. Instead he decided to ask about the pirates,"wha a piwat?"

Deimos almost gasped. Osso didn;t know anything. His eyes glimmered in exitement as he set off into his explaination, sweeping hand gestures and all. "A pirate is a splorer (explorer) who goes on a boat and look for treasure and fight with swords and have lots of 'ventures. Zir says he'll teach me to be a pirate soon and then I can go on 'ventures too!"

Hollow eyes widened as he listened about these people called pirates. Osso went on an adventure once in the woods next to his house...Though his mother was right next to him. "Piwates fun!" exclaimed the child with an excited squeal before clapping sticky hands together. Oh what fun it would be to go on a boat and have 'ventures! Yes, being a pirate definately sounded fun!

Deimos shook his head violently. "Duh! Once I become a pirate, I be a captain and you be my crew! All pirates need crew!" He said. He'd make a fine captain, yes he would. He had a natural talent for bossing people around.

"Piwate koo, piwate koo!" Osso chanted as he continued to clap his hands. He was thrilled now and couldn't wait till Deimos became captain and he apart of his crew.

Klaz shared in his master's happiness and chortled in the boy's ear.

Hearing Klaz, sticky fingers plucked the gwipple from his shoulder and held him out a little,"Klaz piwate too?"

Deimos eyed Klaz, sizing him up. "Klaz can be cabin boy. He like pirate, but not as big." He explained. "Klaz not big enough to be pirate." He said, nodding. He'd have to get Zirr to make him captain soon so he could have his propper crew. He'd have to get Lenore and Wycliff to join him as well. Maybe Rex, if he was tough enough..

Osso didn't know any real difference between cabin boy and crew, so Klaz's future spot was alright with him. Heart fluttering with excitment, her turned around a little and tugged lightly on his mother's shirt.

Azumi stopped talking as she felt her charge tugging on her clothing. Looking down she quirked a brow at Osso as a smile crossed her lips,"Yes, sweetie?"

"I gonna be a piwate wif Di!" the little boy stated matter-o-factly, but with a large amount of enthusiasm behind the words.

"Ohh! I can''t wait till you bring back some booty...Just don''t pillage too many towns," Azumi said playing along with her child's dreams with equal enthusiasm. Osso was so cute at times."

"Dei!" Deimos quickly corrected him. He didn't like being called Di. If they were going to call him by his name, they'd do it properly. "But you will call me Cap'n!" He exclaimed proudly, soon looking up at Azumi. "We bring back lots of treasure. We be good pirates!" He said. They had Zir on thier side, of course they'd be good pirates.

Silencer listened silently at the two boys conversations, and smiled. She sighed happily, content to just sit back and observe the going ons. Until she noticed her boy missing from the crowd.

Rex? Where's Rex? As she started to panic and made to get to her feet, a tan tail sticking out from behind the table caught her eyes, and she leaned back into her chair, smiling. Oh, the two devils.

All the while Rexier Gaver had hidden himself away from everyone's sight, curling under the table with his inseparable twin and the remaining doughnuts. You guessed it - he was enjoying himself under the table, filling himself and, with a little difficulty King, full of the rest of the doughnuts.

When he had finally finished stuffing King and himself full, the mishap sighed contentedly, while King let out a tiny burp. Forgetting that he had been sitting under a table, Rex got up, and promptly hit his head on the underside of the table; surprisingly it did not budge, but the child was sure he had dislocated his brain, and Kings. Rex got to all four again, and crawled out from under the table, slightly dazed.

"Ow my head..."

Deimos turned his head as he heard a bump and spotted Rex crawling out from under the table. "What are you doing there?" He asked curiously. Was there something under the table worth seeing? Deimos peered under it and saw nothing that truly caught his attention so he cocked one of his eyebrow wings at him, waiting for Rex's answer.

Jizzy was smilling all the while Deimos was giving his pirate explaination, but towards the end she gave an ear deafening sneeze, picking up a napkin and shielding her face with it.. She sniffled. "Excuse me." She said softly, still snifffling slightly.

Silencer winced as she heard the bump, having known who was under the table. She shifted in her chair in discomfort, but made no attempt to inspect his 'wound' ; the mishap would recover in a split second. She learnt he had a fairly thick skull recently, when he accidentally knocked his head with his new basketball. Seconds after, the kid was running around like nothing had happened.

Rex stood from his crawling position, and rubbed his head. Shaking his head to clear it, he turned towards Deimos.

"Doughnuts." He answered, grinning.

At Jizzy's sneeze, both Silencer and Rex said simultaneously, "Bless you!"

Azumi giggled a little as Rex and Silencer spoke in unison. It was after they spoke that the Noir added in her own,"Bless you."

"Bess you?" Osso asked as he heard almost everyone say it.

Jizzy sniffled and nodded thankfully. "Thank ...a...a...ACHOO!" She said, sneezing again. She had felt slightly sick a few days before, but she hadn't let that stop her, apparently now it was catching up to her. She sniffled slgithly again and sighed. "I hope I'm not coming down with anything.." She said, replacing the smile onto her face.

Deimos noticably flinched at all the 'Bless You's.' Why on earth were they all telling his mother such a horrible thing. "Gesundheit." He said instead, not wishing to foul his mouth up with such a dirty word as bless. And all of them were saying it, he scowled at the lot of them.

Silencer frowned, missing the scowl from Deimos. She got up and maneuvered around the two toddlers to the seat beside Jizzy, and offered her a piece of tissue.

"Are you okay?" She asked, and placed a hand on Jizzy's shoulder. They were beyond warm, and her face registered worry. "Unfortunately you have come down with something... a cold, if I'm not wrong."

Rexier shifted his eye away at Deimos' scowl, and watched instead as her mother approached Deimos' guardian, blinking a little. He left the mishap's side and trailed after his mother.

"Jizzy sick?" He asked, though the answer was obvious.

Jizzy gratefully took the tissue as another sneeze was heard from her. She shook her head softly, soon stopping as it made her head pound. "I can't be sick.. I.. have to work and take care of Dei.. and..a..a...ACHOOO!" Another sneeze racked her body, leaving her sniffly and light-headed.

At the mention on the word sick, Deimos looked up at his mother. He hadn't notice the gradual decline in her health, nor did he notice that it was all mostly because of the lack of sleep she was getting, between a job and himself, but he did notice her current state and his red eyes shone with a tinge of worry. "Mother no sick..." He said sternly, as if his words would make it true. He folowed the others to her side and placed his hand on hers. She was strickingly warm. He looked up at Silencer, confused. "Mother no cold. She warm." He said, still unaware of the other use of the word cold.

Silencer patted Jizzy's back gently, and said,"There there. Look at you. You must get sufficient rest, and stop worrying about that work of yours. I can help take care of Deimos, if you'd like and he allows it."

"Your health, is more important than anything else right now." She stated firmly.

At Deimos' statement, Rex held out a hand and touched Jizzys. He too, felt the warmness, and looked towards Silencer for an explanation. Deimos was right. This lady was warm, why did his mother say she was cold?

"Mother wrong. Dei right, Jizzy warm." He stated, nodding.

Silencer turned to both Deimos and Rex. She had been puzzled at the use of the word 'cold' when she was young, so she smiled. " The 'Cold' I mean is an illness, caused by an virus infection located in the nose. I'm afraid Jizzy has caught it, must be the lack of sleep or something. She is warm due to fever associated with the cold."

Silencer nodded, hoping she got it right.

Azumi looked concerned for Jizzy now. Being sick was never fun and the werewolf knew about the worry of taking care of a little one and working a job, more so since she had to travel a a great distance at least once every two weeks to her lab like place in the Amazon.

She started to think of some way to help these people who she considered new friends....Ah ha! "Jizzy, if you would like to, you could come and stay at my place in the moutains (which is really only at the mts. base). It's quiet and peaceful and I swear my heating system works wonders on colds....At least it does when I'm sick. I'm sure your boss will let you take a few days off and you and Dei can rest up." She smiled then glanced at Deimos before speaking again, "it's your guys' choice, though I think it may be Dei's more," a small chuckle floated with her words as she could tell Deimos did nothing unless he wanted to.

Osso only understood a few things his mother said and the thought of having guests excited him, "Dei come! Fun!"

Jizzy sniffled slightly, nodding softly. "I.. supoose I could take a few days off.. But I'd have to finish up this week at work at least.." She said. She neded this week's paycheck. "Thank you for the off..off... ACHOOO!" SHe sneezed once more, and this time, from nowhere, a lamp materialized in my air and fell with a thump behind Jizzy.

Deimos nodded in agreement with Rex at first. So he was smart after all, but as Silencer explained he nodded, not truly comprehended. "Why mother sick? She get better yes? She no burn?" He asked, turning to both Silencer and Azumi, touching his mother's warm skin once more.

"She..." Silencer jumped, snapped her head around, and saw the lamp. "Goodness, why is a lamp..."
Turning back to Jizzy, she lifted an eyebrow at her.

"She won't burn, but I'm not sure about her getting better soon... However, I don't think it's the common cold your mother's caught..." The woman said, not taking her eyes off Jizzy. She purposely missed answer Deimos' first question, and waited to see if anything else - anything strange happened again.

Rex too, jumped at the sudden crash while King growled, not liking the disturbance at all. The mishap walked over to inspect the lamp that had so suddenly intruded upon the gathering, and felt the strange feeling in his head, in his spine that he had when his mother attempted to redo the windows to their room.

"Magic." He said simply. He could feel it.

King felt it too, but unlike Rex, he decided that he did not like what he felt. Confused and frightened, the young tyrannosaur roared and thrashed about. he did not know what to make of the feeling in his head, and spine.

"MA!" Rex called out, dropping the lamp. "Ma, look King! King don't feel good, Rex don't feel good..."

With that the child ran around Jizzy towards his mother, half-stumbling as his twin continued to thrash around.

Jizzy seemed oblivious to the appearance of the lamp, yet winced as it crashed, holding her hand in her hands. The loud noise made her head pound. "Urgh.. A...aa...CHOOO!" And with that sneeze, BAM, an old fashioned dial telephone popped in, landing not to far from the lamp.

Deimos glanced over to where Rex was walking and spotted the lamp, then the telephone crash to the floor. But his eyes only widened as he heard Silencer's words. "NO!. She get better soon!" He said in denial, forgetting about the lamp and grasping Jizzy's hand, shaking it around slightly. "Mother get better!" He said, as if by his order Jizzy's illness would vaporize and vanish.

Wolf ears lowered a little to the loud crashes as things started to materialize every time Jizzy sneezed. Magic. It wasn't really anything new to Azumi, though she couldn't personally do it.

It was before the lamp appeared and crashed that the werewolf heard what might have been an answer to her earlier suggestion about j** and Dei staying at her place for a bit.

Getting up from her chair, Osso now ballanced on one hip, Azumi stated," there's nothing to worry about Dei, your mother will be perfectly fine. All she needs it some rest and a good cup of tea for right now."

With that said the blonde walked around to Jizzy and offered to help her up while saying, "come on, dear, I think you should probably go lie down for a bit." Azumi always had the habbit of calling people 'dear' or anything alongs those lines.

Osso just sat still in his mother's arm while one of his chubby hands gripped her shirt at her shoulder. The boy was really confused as to what the hell a cold was and why things were falling from thin air, but he decided to just keep quiet while his mother did whatever she was doing.

Silencer collected her child in her arms, hugging him King-side close to her side and cooing softly to him in an attempt to calm the young one down. She gave Jizzy a hug, and got up just as Azumi was offering to help Jizzy up.

"Yes, do have plenty of rest. You need it," she said, nodding. With Rexier still at her side, she reached over to ruffle Deimos' hair.

"Cheer up, big guy." Turning the Azumi and Jizzy, Silencer bowed slightly. "Unfortunately I must be going now. King here... isn't that well either. He's sensitive to magic, and doesn't understand it, so I need to bring him back to our room."

Jizzy sniffled slightly and nodded. "I'm sorry Rex.." She said to the small child as she heard that magic had been cast. Looking back she spotted the lamp and phone and winced slightly. She wasn't supposed to be using magic.. "I think I'll go to bed now." She said trhough, standing up on her own. She obbled slightly before she gained her bearing and took Deimos by the hand.

Deimos frowned over at Rex. "Rex sick like Mother?" He asked somone. Did that mean he'd burn up too if he stayed with Mother?

Azumi let her outstretched hand fall to her side before hitching Osso to balance on her hip. "Please give me a call when ever you want to come up to our place," the werewolf said in a happy, though soft, tone.

Turning to Silencer, she smiled and gave a bow of her head,"it was very nice meeting both of you! But I think Osso and I must go as- It's possible, Deimos dear, but I'm sure you'll be just fine," she said reassuringly to the young demon child.

" Byeeeee!" Osso stated with a little smile as he clenched and unclenched his little hand. The Mishap hadn't really understood anything that just happend and as far as he was aware, everything and everyone was fine.

With her good-byes said the canine bowed once more and went through the door and out to her car, but made a very quick stop to get the basket of clothing that sat in the laundry room....She finally remembered it.
