And "with someone everyone approves of" is rather hard since everyone has different grounds the "approve" people on. >.>;; In that case we could say Rune remains single (if it now wasn't so that THAT is impossible since he's already married XDD; ). So, for the lack of better inputs... I'll argue your pairing, Jisen! =D Rune and Rim KaanaFirst question that come into mind if it would be a one-sided love or not. Rim fell in love with Rune, it seems, either because of Tintlet's memories influencing her or because of how he was/is personally, or both these factors. I'm not really sure (although I could go back and do some research in my books but... XD;; Shyren got to borrow them all from 19 and up so she could catch up. >.>; So taht won't work), is anyone, if Rune ever REALLY got to know about her feelings for him. It's a good question. Anyone knows? (Alright, wrong question, anyone with an open or neutral mind willing to go through the books from Rim's introduction up until book, say... 23 or 24 and look for some kind of sign of Rune getting clued in on it?) Anyway, next point; possibility. Well, yes, it holds some/quite a bit of possibility. (Whether that makes you happy or not, Golly, it does. >=p Live with it. XD; ) Rune is a very compassionate person and Rim is not without likeable quirks, as I see it. Her loyalty to Rune pretty much matches Tintlet's, I think, and she's not overly pushy either. About Rim... Some of the reasons as to why some people dislike her, I think, is because of: a) the manner that she appeared (an enemy, hostile and willing to hurt others to get what she wanted/needed - hey, she's a demon! It's in her nature. ;P) b) Rune - because many people want to pair him with someone else and since Tintlet lay asleep somewhere else during half of the story and was seldom mentioned, it was easy to forget about her (just as it is sometimes easy to forget, it seems, that she and Rune are twins/siblings, royalty AND married upon that) c) the "triangle issue" - Idon't know but I'm counting the threesome state of this affair into this too because some might feel that Rim interrupts the "perfect and harmonious couple/male-female pairing". A threesome is not a problem (I say). In fact, it could make the life richer in some aspects. d) Rim herself - yes, some of her more... stronger/individualistic/"youkai" traits I think could bother people. But she's not out to split up Rune and Titnlet, she has herself expressed worry about about "butting in" and she talked to Kitchel about what it was like to be in love. Actually, (while this might fit better in Rim's character thread I'll take it here) if you want to, I think you could compare Rim Kaana somewhat to Cesia because of traits they share. Or perhaps that's just me thinking that way? XD; e) I'll probably be able to add something here when it comes along... XD; Tintlet's thoughts... I don't think she would disagree. She's a very kind and caring person, just like Rune, but tomboyish enough to say what she thinks many times, a trait we don't often see because she and Rune has been separated much or engaged elsewhere/apart. If she had something against Rim sharing her and Rune's private life (or life in general) then I think she would have made that clear at some point in some way. On Rim's current race... <.< >.>;;; Well... she's at least half faerie so I'm sure she could somehow contribute to the poor number in the Spirit Tribe.... XD;;; *laughs* ... XD; I'll be back on this subject when I can come up with more. *a bit distracted* Or someone else is free to argue with me too. =p I love it when someone argues with me with GOOD arguments.

About Rune and Rim ONLY
Although I think it would never happen (unless some good fanfic writer made their contribution to the world and gave a very good and logical transfer of affections XD; ), if now Tintlet would find someone else... like, let's say (since Tetheus is busy *just thinks they would look funny/good togethere XD;;*), Nohiro! =D;; (And let's temporarily ignore the fact about poor Miyabi or Silk... or Shian. ^^; ) So let's for a mometn ignore all the oddness of this and say that Tintlet left Rune (divorce? XD; ) to go with Nohiro (wow, he got his elven girl, eh?), or someone else (like my sister said, Cesia/Tintlet, and Rune and Rim would be left as a pairing...
As it IS a possible pairing, by all means, I think that Rune and Rim would have... less (small) arguments/bickering (as the dominant/determined sides of Rune and Tintlet's personality might have at times). Rim (while sometimes may be described as a bit clingy) is too willing to please Rune, I think. It migth just be me, but I think that's some trait (which a subordinate/lower youkai has/needs if they want to survive or have a partly good life or something along those lines) that she still has and won't shake. At least she shows that to Rune, perhaps because she wants to please him or because she thinks/feels it will make her a bit more like Tintlet, I'm not sure. This trait also makes it so that Rune might not have to worry as much about Rim as he does about Tintlet because she is, like him, rather... determined. Whereas Rim might be more prone to do as Rune asks and stay behind him or not go where he asks her to not venture.
XD;; All in all, Rim might cause Rune less stomach and headaches, you know?
Also, while Rim, at first, might feel a bit overwhelmed or at a loss of what to do if she suddenly became the center of Rune's whole attention (as Tintlet was before), compared to the divided attention she has when Rune has both her and Tintlet. If a parting/transference of feelings were to happen and Tintlet would leave the threesome (of her, Rune and Rim) then it would have to go at least somewhat slowly and not in the blink of an eye, otherwise Rim would feel a bit unsure of what to do. XD;; *laughs* Poor girl.
My personal opinion on this pairing...
Rune, Tintlet, Rim - good/ok, it's not like I'm against it.
Rune and Rim (only) - also ok, could be real funny to watch and if it was (one of) the main point(s) in a fanfic I would definitely read it. XD;; ...If it was decently written that is. ^^

She's not cute. She's not likable. She's just a leech that appeared out of nowhere and attached herself to Rune because he is squishy and likable. Now her prorities seem to be a) Clothing b)Rune.

;P Well, I guess that how she is and acts is, like always, a case for the "personal opinion". >.>; But when people say she's annoying I don't see why. Sure, she's a bit more cingy than some characters but take that away and she's just much as much into Rune as Tintlet it. Some seems to forget that. Rim is, to me, just or rather appears younger compared to Tintlet who has indeed had her time with Rune. I mean, tell me ONE example of a person who's in love with another and not even a big clingy? >_> *stares at Karill (you know what I mean, so don't pretend)*
She's just met Rune (if you want to compare her time with Rune to Tintlet's time with him) and she's in love with him and upon that... she isn't sure if he would even reciprocate her feelings and she doesn't really want to interfer with him and Tintlet if that would make him unhappy.
Now could anyone tell me that that is NOT what a teenager/young girl in love is like? >_>;; (Personally, I've never been there so I wouldn't REALLY know XD;; *cough* but that is how I've understood it seems to be like... << >>; Now moving on.)
Also, your statement, which quite a few might echo?, comes from, I think, the fact that many likes Rune... which I touched upon in b or c. (He's one of the main characters after all! Aaaand... it's not often in mangas that one of the main characters are married and already have a girl so strongly in their hearts that Rune does.)
