Layla blushed deeply as she entered, pushing her bright orange hair behind her ears and nodding to the waiter before making a bee line for her sister. Today she wore a plain black dress with a black bow in her hair and a phoenix printed shawl (matching her sister's shirt) that she pulled tight around her shoulders. Her eyes lit up in surprise momentarily when she saw that her sister wasn't alone before her blush returned and she sat down next to Kylie. A nervous grin crept across her face when the boy stood up. What was she supposed to do when a boy did that? "Ummm...water sounds good." Layla said to the waiter and looked at her sister for an explanation of who this boy was.
Kylie was about to comment to Demetri that age didn't matter that much, she wasn't trying to set them up on a date or anything, when she heard the cute waiter direct Layla over. Grinning at her sister she waited for her to sit down before leaning over and adjusting her bow for her. Demetri standing up hadn't gone unnoticed and she wondered slightly at why he had done it in this situation but kept the comments to herself for once. Her grin didn't fade as she turned her attention to the waiter and raised her empty mug. "Another cappuccino for me please and maybe a few menus?"
Settling back into her seat she smiled sweetly and went about the introductions as if it was the most exciting thing in the world. "Demetri, this is my sister Layla. Layla, this is Demetri, that boy I ran into the other day the angels shop. And you are?" She looked up at the waiter hopefully. With her luck he was probably taken but flirting never hurt anyone.

Demetri's grandmother had kidnapped him for a few days to teach him the manners he 'obviously wasn't learning from his beatnik father.' Whenever a girl enters the room or approaches your general vicinity, you stand. Its respect, or something. He didn't really understand it but he'd been doing it for years. He smiled and held his hand out for Layla. "Nice to meet you." He fidgeted a little though he tried to hide it. Formal introductions made him a touch nervous.

"My name?" The youth quipped in half-surprise, a boyish grin about his lips as he bent to scoop up Kylie's empty cup. "Yue-Long, but you may call me Draco if you so desire." And with the heel of his wooden sandals clicking against the wooden flick in dull thuds, he went to the kitchen to fetch the needed drinks.
People these days have absolutely no taste. He, personally, preferred tea - freshly brewed green tea, especially. Maybe they ought to start a daily recommendation board thing - some young people of this generation really have absolutely no education in taste. He took a few minutes making the cappuccino, and then he filled two glasses with water and ice cubes. Arranging the three items on a tray, he grabbed three menus and promptly returned to the trio's table. "Et voila," he flourished the three menus with gusto and gently placed the appropriate glasses infront of his customers. "Mademoiselles, monsieur, your drinks."
He glanced at the counter for a moment, and saw Thomas pouting out his lips at him. There was no customer at the moment, so naturally, the young boy was bored out of his mind, but Yue-Long grinned sinisterly and returned his attention then to the table infront of him. "I'll be back in a few minutes to take your orders." From there, he moved to the next table.

Demetri smiled a little and nodded in thanks. He wished he could look and act half as cool as this guy. He needed to work on his image, maybe that would help him get those guys to like him--or at least leave him alone. He watched Yue-Long walk away practically oozing confidence. He sighed and turned back to the two girls.

Layla had kinda dazed off, tired from her day of running around and shopping, and it had taken her a moment to realize that Demetri had offered his hand. Reaching out and shaking it meekly she smiled slightly and nodded. "You too, Demetri." Her eyes slid to her sister as she obviously watched the waiter walk away but before she could say anything he had returned with their drinks and menus. Picking hers up she opened it and scanned the pages without so much as a word.
Kylie smiled as the waiter walked away. Yue-long/Draco....interesting. Her eyes followed him as he left and she smiled sweetly again when he returned. Nothing over the top since with her luck he was taken but a smile never hurt. Plus, this guy was probably used to getting them. Opening her menu she looked between her sister and Demetri who were both far too quiet right now for her tastes. Especially when it was a carnival night. "So...diner or skip straight to dessert?"

Demetri gave the question more thought than it merited. He had a soft spot for dessert, especially warm gooey baked goods. He'd once tried to make brownies but they didn't come out very good so he promptly stopped using the kitchen for more than ramen and sandwhiches. One forcably remodeled kitchen was enough for him. However, if he ate a meal he could stay away from his family for a longer period of time. Though eventually they were bound to worry. Perhaps if they saw him with friends, girls no less, they'd let him be. He grinned, "I'm pretty much always up for dessert."

Layla nodded. "Dessert sounds fine. We're going soon anyways, right Kylie?"
Kylie rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Dessert it is I guess. Yeah, we'll be heading to the carnival in a bit Layla." Looking back at the menu, Kylie's green eyes scanned the page quickly, trying to see if anything made her mouth water besides the waiter. "See anything either of you like? I'll pay so don't look at the prices."
