"Most of it was," Nova said as the two sat down near a resturant. "But a small part of it was still protected by the light." "I'm here like a few others to figure out what can be done to make the darkness vanish."

"Quite virtuous," Jaxn said staring off into the distance. "Unfortunatly there hasn't been any clue to that here. The only reason why it hasn't tooken over this place is, I guess, because I stop most of the beasts and killers that come here from the darckness." Jaxn let out a sigh, he could feel Nova's eyes pering onto him. He looked up and smiled. "But I'm glad someone's here to help."

"Can you tell me anything about the beasts that would help get rid of a group of them?," Nova asked as she and Jaxn started walking.

Jaxn Rubbed his head Trying to remember. "Well there was a Big Blob monster three weeks ago. But" Suddenly the two heard a noise first distant but then loud. Jaxn quickly looked up. The top of the tall buildings began to darken. Jaxn's hand glowed .

Another monster appeared from the building. It smashed it and kept on moving. People ran and screamed. Nova saw a shadow hovering above it. The monster was being controlled by someone. She and Jaxn ran to do battle once again.

Jaxn fell behind still not sure about this woman, He looked up knowing well that it wasnt' being controled.

Nova noticed that Jaxn didn't see the shadow above the monster. She wondered what he relied on to destry them. Taking out an arrow, Nova aimed at the shadow and landed a hit. The shadowed figure fell to the ground.

Jaxn slowed down his pace and stopped infront of the monsters corpse, Nova standing over itr as like a trophy deer. He felt uneasy about this, the creature was twice the size as the one earlier, should have tooken them three times as long with this one. Jaxn knelt down to get a closer look.
"I don't like it."

"What don't you like?," Nova asked. She put her bow away as she watched Jaxn examine the monster's body.

"I didn't touch the monster," Nova said. "I shot at the one who controlled the monster which helped to bring it down."

Jaxn looked up and stared at the sky, his eyes not moving from one spot. "Come on, somethings wrong." Jaxn started runing toward the city's capital building which held the light that protected the city. He ran as fast as he could not knowing if Nova was following him or not. He quickly turned the corner and stopped eyes wide open. Nova ramed into him, but didn't mind all she saw was what Jaxn saw. The Capital building was being swallowed by dark clouds that spiraled around its tall towers.

Nova and Jaxn stared at the clouds. Regonizing the clouds from her own part of the city, Nova quietly whispered a chant she was taught to keep the cloud from moving. Jaxn stared at her, wondering if she lost it. But then he noticed the clouds stopped moving, and drew on his power to destroy them.

Jaxn closed his eyes searching for the power within him. but all he could find was pure terror. He looked harder for the light that kept him going but all he could find was darkness. He opened his eyes and dropped to his knees. He crunched into the fetal pasistion, shaking uncontrolably.
"Where are you," Jaxn said under his breath. " Where are you Lyra." He shot up in the air as if something had stung hum. "LYRA!!" Jaxn shouted at the top of his lungs. A large light shot from his chest and stayed motionless as Jaxn fell to the ground.

A light had shot out of Jaxn. Nova caught him before he fell and watched as the light aimed straight for the clouds. They disappered, and everything seemed fine. Nova realized Jaxn must have some sort of light power, which would be a bit more useful then her shadow one. As she waited for him to awake, Nova wondered who Lyra was.
