Sovann tried to act as casually as possible as he caught up to Tithe.
Leaning against one of the palm trees nonchalantly, he asked "So these are the fruits, huh? They don't look half bad."

He blatantly ignored her attempt to poke fun at his unusual clumsiness and stared into her eyes, waiting for a response.
He drew a little circle in the sand with one paw, feeling very at home on this comfy surface that easily gave way to his weight.

((Short, short, short.))

Tithe was amused by his behavior, and decided to have some fun with him.

"Well, there is two ways to get them down." Tithe turned around to face him, with a viciously serious face.
"You could ram the tree, and hope they fall down, Or-" Tithe grinned, "Climb the tree and pluck them, like a native."

Then she pretended all her feet had suddenly broken, and lay there in the sand. "Oh no! I guess you'll have to go." She put up a silly act, frowning just a little too much. Tithe loved toying around with new kuniku.

"That is unless, you would want a sick little girl like me to do a man's job!"
Tithe's words were spoken through a smile.

As Sovann and Tithe headed down the beach towards a bunch of trees Sanyu couldn't identify, she stayed to sip the water the other female had so kindly brought to them. At fist she'd been confused. How could they drink salty sea water? But when the contents of the leaves had sparkled brightly, somehow she knew it was alright.

When Sanyu had drunk her fill, she went to where Masao was and layed in the warm sand about a foot away. The sky had large, billowy clouds on its blue background, so she took a minute to lay back and relax. So far Honshu seemed very enjoyable. The thin bits of shore on Shikoku were filled with pebbles and were not near as comfortable and pretty as this beach.

The cherry blossom Kuniku closed her eyes and let her mind drift.

Sovann could easily see through this little charade of Tithe's, but decided to go along with it.
"Well, I suppose I wouldn't be very much of a gentleman if I allowed a lovely lady such as yourself to do all the work. Atleast in that condition."

He gave a quick wink in the girl's direction and backed away from a particularly large-trunked tree.
Running at almost full speed, Sovann shoved his left shoulder squarly on it's base.
However, to his disappointment, the only thing gained was a sore limb.

He shot a playful glance at Tithe.
"And I suppose you can't even offer a boost, eh?"
Without allowing a reply, he began to shimmy up the plant.
Little by little he inched closer to the greatly desired fruit.

Sovann was as close as he could possibly get and, seeing no other choice, he steadied his two back paws and reached towards several hanging down.
With a confident leap, he clung to said food and pulled with all his might.

Suprisingly, he managed to snag three on his decent, and one followed soon after he touched down on land, hitting his forehead spot on.
"Well how's that for only my second try?"

Masao watched the others wander off to do their own things. When they were gone he let out a soft breath and lay down on the warm sand. Thoughts roved through his mind, scattered like leaves in the wind. So many things battled for his attention. Thankfully he was soon brought out his retrospection as he caught a glimpse of a blue speck in the sky. Sorano was back.

Then something else demanded his attention. It was something he had mulled over during those endless, horrible days at sea. Masao turned his head and watched Sanyu for a moment, a small frown marring his usually calm face. Eventually he rose with a grunt and padded over to the cherry blossom Kuniku.

“Sanyu, there is something I need to do.” Masao met the female’s eyes and gave a small smile. “I’ll catch up with you later. Tell the other’s please and… be careful. I won’t be too long.” At least he hoped. It felt wrong to be leving them like this.

Finished with his goodbye he gave her a respectful nod and then turned away for one last solitary journey; one that he needed to make.

Ooc: Ok, wrapping up with Masao. =3 Where is he going? Only he may know. Oooo!

Tithe felt a little guilty that she had made him ram into the tree, as it was only a joke, and you could see a little regret in her eyes.

Although she was suprised to see he was more charming then she expected.

So then shown another smile.

"Fantastic!" She smiled towards him once more.

"I have miraculously recovered, and now I owe you!"
With that being said, she darted towards a different tree and lept on it's bark, quickly climbing to the top, only to grab a bunch of four, shaking her jaws furiously to detach it from the tree, and sort of roughly slipped down, her stomach now dirty, some ripe fruits in her grinning mouth.

"Let's take these back before they miss you too much." she mumbled through her full jaws.

Sovann could tell that Tithe felt bad for running him ragged, but he'd be fine.
She also quit the act of faking an injury with a jolly smirk across her soft features.

He watched as the girl climbed the tree, grabbed a bunch of delectable fruit, and tumbled back down to earth with a slightly messy stomach.
She actually looked quite cute with the yield dangling a bit precariously from her teeth.

He let out a small sigh and winked, "That's a good idea. Wouldn't want them to feel abandoned, now would we?"

Sovann trotted off towards the group of friends, thinking of nothing else but the lovely kuniku beside him.

((Masao is off on his soul searching mission, lol. I dunno if that's what he's actually doing. But I think it sounds cool. ^^))

Sanyu had smiled sleepily at Masao when he had approached her resting place. So he had somthing to take care of? She atomatically thought he'd be back in a minute, but the tone in his voice suggested otherwise. Suddenly she was wide awake and hanging on to every word that the calm Kuniku spoke, though, for the first time she'd ever seen, he seemed to have lost a bit of composure. He gained it back and gave a nod before heading of along the beach.

The pink female stood up slowly, using all her might to resist going after him.

"Prince..." she called quietly after him, even though he was too far to hear, "Come back soon, okay? At least I know you won't get lost..." She laughed sadly to herself, a took one last gaze at her friend and his little blue bird, Sorano flying high above.

Sanyu decided that it was best to let the others know quickly, and turned to find Emil. She supposed Tithe and Sovann would be back soon enough.

Tithe haden't smiled so much in her life.
He had such a sweet personality.

She noticed Sovann watch her come down the tree with what she took to be curiousity.

"Hey, you'll be able to do that quite soon if you stick around honshu long enough. It's the easiest way to get food." She mumbled incoherently through full jaws.

But as they approached their previous place at the harbor, Tithe noticed a seriousness in the air which hadn't been there before.

That creamy-colored Masao was missing. And sanyu didn't look all too jolly either.

((OOC- Okay, I have no idea how to excuse that brief gap in doing anything, so I'll just start right in like an uncreative loser who doesn't feel like writing much. xd ))

Emil jolted himself out of his day dream. It looked like Tithe and Sovann were away getting fruit together. And from the looks of things, they had really hit it off too. You could never tell who would become really good friends sometimes. Emil wished he could be a little less clueless.

He noticed Sanyu coming towards him and was a little confused. She had been so icy to him on the boat after he had insulted Mustard. But it didn't take him much time to see that something was wrong. He walked a little faster than usual to meet her halfway.

"Is something wrong Sanyu? And where's Masao? Did he leave?" Emil resisted using his favorite nickname for Masao so that he wouldn't hurt Sanyu's feelings even further. Hm... so Mustard wasn't so perfect after all; he ditched Sanyu! But Emil wasn't going to be too critical of him running off. After all, hadn't he done the same?

Sanyu had noticed how Emil had refrained from teasing Masao. She decided everything would be okay between them.

"Oh," Sanyu replied gloomily to Emil's inquiry, "The prince, er, had some thing to take care of. I'm sure he'll be back soon, though." She nodded slowly, then perked up a bit. "After all, the experience we have in this field points to him returning. Since you did and all."

They sat quietly for a minute or two before Sanyu chose to speak again.

"So... Do you not like your little name, Apricot? I do have a reason for it..." She swirled the sand at her paws around with a slight melancoly air. "I suppose I could always... Call you Emil?"

The female didn't regret offering, but she added hastily under her breath, "Though I rather do like the sound of Apricot." She try to perk herself up before looking him in the eyes. "It is your decision."

Though Sanyu was averting her gaze a little, Emil was looking at her straight on. Why was this so awkward? Emil wanted to fix it. He batted at his ear a little to scratch it.

He thought for a moment before replying to Sanyu's query. While Emil did prefer his real name, he knew that she really did like using nicknames.

"Well, you know," Emil said, giving her a small smile, "There are probably times when Apricot is fine, and there are also times when it would be more appropriate to call me Emil. I'll leave you to decide when to use both."

Emil paused, feeling as though he should add something to make her feel a little less troubled.

"Sanyu, Masao will come back. We're just not used to him, and he's not used to us. Wandering is in his nature. He'll come back because he wouldn't ditch us. ...He wouldn't ditch you.

And you know, Sanyu, I've thought about your nicknames. And I've thought about how everyone has one. Everyone except you, that is. And... I have been trying to think of a good nickname for you. But it's very hard to think of something more beautiful than your current name. But, I thought, if you wanted it... maybe your nickname could be Hana. It means flower blossom." Emil found himself blushing a little. Now that he said it, it seemed to be a very bad nickname. I mean, you couldn't really give someone a nickname that was a normal name.

Sanyu understood Emil's response to her little nicknaming habit. Mayhaps it would be better to use his proper name for introductions and such. After all, he might be embarrassed around another pretty female Kuniku. She could finally look at him directly again without feeling a tinge of unhappiness waying on her.

Then she heard his own name idea. The pink female's ears twitched in mention of his compliment to her, and she blushed feeling beside herself.

"Emil..." she began, her eyes were glossy with joy, "That's so sweet of you. Sanyu means happiness, and Hana means flower blossom... They're both so pretty, so I'd love for you to call me by something you've come up with. It's a sign of our friendship!" She leapt up and flung herself onto him. "I'm so glad we're getting along again, Apricot!"

She took a friendly swipe at his ears before stepping away from him.

"Oh," she remembered, "Thank you for your reassurance. I feel heaps better now." The sun was now gradually lowering in the bright, cloudless sky, though it wasn't yet twilight. She gazed towards where the moon was starting to rise, and then beamed back at Emil.

The corners of Emil's mouth curled into a smile, then flung open in surprise when Sanyu landed on him.

"I'm glad we're getting along too," said Emil, his eyes shining in amazement. Who knew it was so easy to gain acceptance? And even more important, forgiveness. He felt his heart rise the same way the moon swam out of the horizon to meet the sky.

"I know that the moon is coming out, but I'm not tired at all. Do you want to play?" Emil asked with a familiar, playful sparkle in his eye.

"Sure," Sanyu responded happily to Emil's question, "I'm suddenly full of energy now, so I want to get ready for food."

She trotted a few feet away, then circled back around him hurridly before pouncing onto his tail.

"Betcha can't catch me!" Sanyu yelled, then sprinted cross the sand, glowing almost red from the quickly setting sun.
