Moofins jumped lightly and dropped his cane onto the floor as there was a yell from somewhere. It was a voice telling people to take a break. How odd. Sound sure does travel in this place. he thought and bent over to pick his cane up. He kneeled there on the ground for a moment, then straightened once more. That lady, the Matron, said that I could have a room, or atleast she mentioned rooming. She failed to mention, however, where these so called rooms were. The young man glanced left, then right, then straight ahead to the stair cases. He let out a sigh of confusion and let his head hang for a moment. "Well," he said outloud to himself, "I suppose I can just look around and see what I find!"

Sarah smiled gleefully at Emma. Emma was always her most useful Trustee, for she was always efficient. But, she was a little clumsy and a bit distracted at times. Yet, that just made Sarah like her even more. Hooking her arm with Emma's, she answered, "Of course, I'll sign them, dearie. But, as of now, everyone has finished work for today. Let's go to the Mess Hall and eat a little bit. I could have sworn that I smelled some food being made as I was doing an inspection and I've been starving since this morning."
She giggled and began walking with Emma. She took a small glance at the window and noticed the tinge of red signifying sunset. She loved this Abbey so much, it was absolutely spectacular.

A loud booming sound rang through her ears. Thump! Elizabeth had fallen off her bed, her blanket and pillow falling with her, "Can't a girl get some sleep around here, without having to deal with a loud ruckus?!" Elizabeth stood up, wiping the drool from the side of her mouth, she cursed to herself as she threw her blanket and pillow back on the bed. Quickly, she straightened her clothes and did a quick touch-up in front of the mirror. She looked at a picture of herself and smiled, "Now, that is one good-looking woman!" As she headed towards the door a question popped into her head, "Did I finish my paperwork?"

Emma laughed as she walked, "I do always miss the most impoartant announcements don't I. I'm starting to think I need an assitant to check up on me every once and awhile and keep me up to date on announcemetns and such."
As Emma spoke, her nose began to tingle with the sweet scent of Ham and Potatoes. Mixed with this darling aroma, was the hint of Apple Pie, "Sarah, do you smell that? The cook as surely out done herself. I can't wait to try everything!" She chuckled as her stomache began to make soft noises.
Emma was so busy with all of her paper work that afternoon, that she had hardly had time to think about eating. After not eating since late morning, she smiled at the thought of a nice hot meal awaiting her just down the hall.
"Hmm, that's funny, I don't hear Ellie in the Mess Hall. I bet she's been sleeping again and hasn't even realized what time it is," Emma teased as they neared the Kitchens.

As they walked through the Mess Hall, they greeted all the clanmembers that had passed by them. It was common clan courtesy to greet a present clanmember in view. As they finished, Sarah and Emma continued their conversation as they walked towards the Matron's Table.
"I could have sworn that I smelt those aromas! Of course, that's not enough to feed our immense clan. That'll probably be an appetizer to a whole course, just like every other evening," she responded with a chuckle and deep content sigh.
As they sat down, Sarah yawned and thought about Elizabeth. "I suppose she did take a nap, but whatever the scent of the Mess Hall take away from here, it usually reaches her room. In the end, she'll find her way to the food," she replied to Emma's earlier question.
She wondered where that young fellow was from earlier, she was sure that this person wasn't only a recruit. She was pretty sure that this was a Trustee that she had not noticed about. Strange, she promoted him, but half of the time, she rarely gets the chance to talk to all her Trustees.

Emma chuckled, "Hm, so true. It's hardly enough to feed Ellie! And I suppose you're right, Ellie always does find her way to the food eventually. Oh, and Sarah, I may have to take a leave of absence for a week or so. Is there anyone qualified to fill in for me in my absence?"

"It's fine, Emma. I'm sure your Department's members could watch over in your stead. Besides, the clan seems to be fine for now," she replied as she was about to chew on a breadroll.
She had to admit, the food was spectacular. Nothing better than the food of the Service Abbey. She ate greedily, her ravenous appetite noticed by many of the clan. She was stuffing her face like never before. Besides, she was going to do a little scouting later on that night.

She shook her head and left her bedroom, "I can always do it some other time." As she walked down the hall she could smell the scent of delicious food. The Mess Hall! Elizabeth quickly turned in a full circle, trying to find a quick way downstairs, "Damn it! I've got nothing." She quickly ran down the nearest staircase trying to get to the Mess Hall as fast as she could.

Nodding, Emma chuckled at the Matrons actions and then began to eat some of the glazed ham that was near her.

Sarah sighed months after the Mess Hall event as she walked down the grandeur steps inside the Abbey. She had been busy, very busy, with the renovations to the Abbey. So far, she had not been receiving the results as she would have liked to receive. It was saddening to her, but she remained erect as a beacon for any newcomer.
