Bah, we all know Chev would pick the easier option and say yes anyway. What harm can a bird do? Wait, what? Talking bird? He frowned and moved over, knubby little tail all a'flicker with curiousity. And apphrension, but he got apprehensive about every little thing.

Shilah held the bundle up carefully so his parents could see it.
"It asked for worms, mommy!" His sister was shouting, "but we gave him berries 'stead!"
When his father was close enough Shilah whispered, "It doesn't really talk."

Placing a hand on Seren's head Mars told her, "Hush little one, you're going to hurt it's and our ears yelling so much. I know your excited, but tone it down, ok?" She looked over at Chev, "So what do you want to do?"

Cheveyo chuckled when he was informed of the birds lack of talking ability, and really couldn't find it in him to act surprised. Then he looked to Mars, and shrugged, "If they want to keep it, I don't see why it would hurt. I mean, we've got every other thing living in our house," he rubbing his arm with pursed lips. Speaking of which, he needed to do something about that squirrel...

Mars wanted to sigh, scream, and stab someone with her sword. Why did she choose him again? And give birth to those monsters? Yeah, she mostly just wanted to sigh. "I guess you have a point, with everything else at home..." She looked at her very loud daughter wondering if she was ever that loud... ever, "Okay, now what do you want to do with the bird?"

"Child, I mean other then just feeding it. Where will you keep it, what willl you put it in?" Mars knew that this was a loosing battle, her and Chevy would have to take care of it in the end.... 'Wait how will it learn to fly?' She thought to herself.

He was going to be in trouble later, he could just feel it. But he wanted his babies to be happy! And how can one little bird hurt. "Well..." he was hesitant to suggest anything else, incase he became skewered, "we do have a couple of baskets, I'm sure one of them will do..." as to where it would go...he had no idea.

"Basket is nice," Shilah said thoughtfully, well practiced at ignoring his sister's volume. He gently rubbed a finger on the birdie's head and said a little louder, "His name is Basket."

Looking a little confused, "Wait, you two named him Basket? You've already named him?" That was it, no choice now, it was coming home. "Do you think you can find a safe place for... it?"

Basket..? Well, ok. Cheveyo rubbed the back of his neck, frowning, "I'm sure we'll find somewhere..." He was wondering if it would be ok up on something. They did usually live in trees, but he wasn't sure he wanted to risk it. He didn't want to think of how they'd react if it got hurt.

Seren cracked up, "Sila named him, mommy! Sila's silly!" She bounded over to her brother and grabbed his tail, tugging it none too gently.
"Hey!" he tried to turn around but all he managed to do was drag his sister behind him.

Cheveyo lifted his hands in a defeated way. Then sighed, "Why don't we take it back, and we'll have a look and see if we can find anywhere? I'm sure if we moved some stuff..." he looked to the kids, frowning thoughtfully. "It's just a bird, it shouldn't be too difficult to find somewhere."

Shilah made a little kick and his sister let go, instead grabbing his arm and dragging him forwards. "Home, home, home, home, home, home, home..." she continued on singing.
Shilah was trying desperately to balance the little bird in his arms despite his sister .
