"Scared me?" he repeated, chuckling as he sat his mass back up after having been tumbled over for 'gracefully'. "It's not often I turn to get a face full of lioness." Nitesh explained, correcting himself finally before leaning forward to almost touch noses with her again, before leaning back to look away.
Personal bubble space. He knew well enough to stay out of it to at least -some- extent.
Just some extent. Nitesh stared at Raylan for a while, looking as though he wanted to say something, but not really moving to talk. In fact, it was almost that awkward silence of 'SAY SOMETHING ALREADY!' that guys did on purpose just to drive you INSANE. Which was partially the point.
Then, as discreetly as possible, Nitesh reached out with a paw and tagged Raylan gently. "Tag. You're it." he pipped before he was up and romping about in his self-initiated play, presuming that the lioness knew how to play the game.

The silence that stretched out between them was more than enough to make her shift uncomfortably. It was odd going from such a funny, comfortable conversation to being thrown head first into such an extensive lack of one. She frowned as she turned those tangerine eyes up to Nitesh, staring back into their pale counterparts. Was he trying to make her squirm on purpose? No, Nitesh would never do a thing like that, he was just too sweet! Still, uncomfortable silences always reminded her of the necessary quiet that she and her sister had to use when tip-toeing around their violent father. They were neither comfortable or pleasing, and she really just wished he’d go ahead and say something.
What, Tag? she thought for a moment, furrowing her brows at the suddenness of his action. Then, of course, the words hit her more properly, and combined with his sudden leap to his feet, she realized exactly what he meant. Oh, Tag! She giggled softly as she pushed herself up onto her paws, darting after the direction Nitesh had fled in. She had quite the stamina, Raylan, probably from spending many of the last few months running from her demons. Regardless, it took only a few minutes to catch up to the loping lion. With a little smirk, she reached out and nipped his tail, then turned quickly on her paws.
“You’re it!” she called behind her with a laugh, skirting the edge of the waterfall lake on deft little paws.
