"Really?" Damien questioned. "I can hear them from quite far away actually." He could easily point out where a few bugs were right now, but he wasn't one to brag about what he could do. He had to increase his hearing to make up for the loss of his sight.

Asami nodded her head a little at him. Quickly, she answered him, just in case he couldn't see. "Yes, my hearing is normal, but I can't hear bugs that easily." The ulaya tilted her head a little. How could he hear bugs so easily? She wanted to ask if he could see or not, but she didn't want to sound rude. Maybe she could find another way of asking him where it didn't sound as bad?

Damien smiled back warmly. "Well, hearing so well could be curse sometimes." he replied with a knowing nod. There had been a few times where he heard things that he didn't want to hear agian in a million years.

Her head tilted a little bit. "How can it be a curse sometimes?" She asked as she stretched a little. Asami wondered how could someone not want to hear better then others. What were something she didn't hear that he had? What did they sound like?

Damien thought about the best way to put it into words. "Well, there are times that I hear things that I don't want to hear at all, but I'm kinda forced to hear cuz of my good hearing." he replied. Hearing was how he got around so he couldn't just stop listening other he would wander around 'blind'.

Asami sat still for a moment while watching the other muster up some words to answer her question with. Being forced to hear something? Couldn't he just tune it out? Asami was good at tuning some things out. Of course, he probably needed to hear everything around him. "Oh. I see." She said nodding her head a little.

Damien shifted a bit uncomfortable from the slience that followed Asami's responce. Now what where they suppose to talk about? He wasn't comfortable around silence it made him on the edge. "So how long have you been around this part of the forest?" he asked as that was the quickest thing that can to mind.

Asami blinked at the other ulaya breaking the silence. "I've been here ever since I was born. How about you?" She asked trying to keep the small talk they had going on continuing. Her fluff tail twitched back and fourth a little as she looked around then up to the sky that she had been keeping an eye on lately. It seemed to never stop looking beautiful.

Damien wanted to chuckle at her question but thought against it. "Hmmm...I don't know if I have." he replied honestly. He couldn't see so he wouldn't know if he was in the same forest or not. He had always been wandering around so he was never really sure. "How does the sky look?" he asked as he heard her shift. He guess that she was looking up as he didn't feel any movement on the ground in a certain direction.

"Oh." Asami said as she continued to look up at the sky that never stopped changing. "Well, today it has a few little fluffy looking things that look a little like this." She said as she used her paw to grab his and have him draw a cloud in the dirt they were standing on. Since he had asked that question, she tried to think like a ulaya that could not see anything. "And it looks like it never ends. Its quite interesting." The female ulaya added at the end of her sentence quickly as she quickly pulled her paw away from the other ulaya's. "sorry."

Damien gave her a quizical look as she pulled her hand away. "It's okay. I don't mind being touched." he replied with a nodd. Well, at least he knew that it was cloudy for today. He wondered if would possible rain. If it was then he better find some shelter soon.

Not that many clouds were out today, as they were yesterday. "Oh, okay then." Asami knew that most ulaya, even the ones that could see, did not liked to be touched at all in any way, so she figured he was the same way. Hopefully it wouldn't rain, that ment the hunt would be hard for the next few days, but it seemed the clouds would be nice to Asami and keep the land dry for the time being. A thoughtful sigh slipped from Asami as she looked around a bit.

Damien caught her sigh and voiced his question "Is something wrong?" he had hoped that he hadn't make her upset or anything.

Asami snapped out of her little bit of a daydream whenever the other ulaya spoke to her. "Oh, no nothings wrong. I'm just thinking." She said trying to think of something to start up a conversation. Maybe she should just let this ulaya be on his way. He was probably busy or something.

Damien thought for a moment before a think crossed his mind. She had said ealier that she had mistaken him for food. Maybe she was still hungry and was in search of something to eat. "Are you hungry?" he asked. he would be willing to help her out with catching something. He may not e the best with his eyes but he was going at hearing things out. He might as well as make himself useful for someone since he had nothing better to do anyway.
