Nyota returned her smile with enthusiasm, very pleased that he had gotten his proverbial reward. As she spoke, Nyota followed her gaze with his own, surveying the surrounding landscape somberly. It truly was a beautiful place, and Nyota thought that he could enjoy staying in the Marshlands, but not if he could not visit his home forest. He couldn't imagine completely giving it up. After all, home was home. Hers was the marshland, and his was the forest. Perhaps things couldn't work after all . . .
Still, he made an attempt. "The silence of the forest is interesting, because in many ways it isn't silence. There is always the feeling that there is life always around you, though you may not see or hear it." His gaze turned wistful as he spoke about the land that he had lived in since birth. "With the muted sunlight, and the feeling of life everywhere around you, it is a completely peaceful and wonderful feeling of . . . one-ness. I suppose this is the same for every different kind of habitat, but for me, the forest is home."
After a moment, Nyota realized that he was getting carried away, and there was a question that he had that needed answering. With a smile, he bowed to the Maluess. "My dear, frank Maluess, I'm afraid I've been rude by not introducing myself to you. I am Nyota, and it is my pleasure to have gotten lost here today."

Marlee noticed his eyes also trail around the marshlands, for some reason his eyes caught her attention. She stared at them momentarily, feeling that if she was to have children, they should have his eyes. A lovely color that seemed calm, but lively, unlike her alligator green eyes that just looked odd compared to others.
Though, she let her head lazy move away from his eyes and stare out listening to him happily speak of his home. The way he described it, it sounded like the marshlands, except there was not as much water and there were oodles of trees. Letting out a small sigh as he spoke, she tried to imagine it, except her image only came out looking like the marshlands, but with trees scattered all over. Her eyes twitched feeling that could not be what it looked like, except the marshlands were all she had ever seen, so imagining a different scenery was tougher then she thought it would be. Still, she blinked and gave a thoughtful smile, " it sounds like the marsh...I would like to visit it someday."
Marlee's head returned to it's normal position hearing him introduce himself. She blinked finally noticing that they had never exchanged names. Her wings fidgeted with slight embarrassment, he must have felt she had no class at all since she did not bow often and did not even introduce herself. Still, her heard him feel he was being rude also, so it eased down her fear of seeming uneducated as she replied, " well, my dashing malu, my name is Marlee, and I am delighted that you do not being lost with me, Nyota." She giggled whimsically at her reply.

Marlee . . .
Nyota was lost in his own thoughts as he pondered over her beautiful name. He caught her gaze once again and was struck by the green hue of her eyes. He'd mistaken it earlier for golden, but they were really green, and Nyota thought absently that if he had children, he'd want them to have eyes that were such a strikingly beautiful color. Like the color of leaves in the sunlight.
He shook himself out of his reverie, chastising himself lightly for getting lost in thought once again. Getting lost seemed to be becoming a habit of his. He smiled again, although somewhat sheepishly, and attempted to remember what she had said before she had given him her name.
"Well I . . . I do hope that you will come and visit at least once. It truly is a wonderful place, and I'd like to share such a visit with you." He perked up when he recalled that she had called him dashing. He held his head up proudly, and he smiled brightly.
"Well, my lovely Marlee, it is not only a pleasure, it is an honor to be lost here with you. I can think of no better way to spend my day."

Marlee, watched the dashing Nyota curiously as he obviously wandered off into his own mind. Now, she felt that this malu was even better at daydreaming then herself. She giggled softly as he suddenly snapped out of it looking rather dumbstruck as he tried to reconnect with their previous conversation.
The winged maluesss did not still know what to truly make of this now familiar malu. He was a very charming one, no doubt, but still seemed to be far away in his attempts. Letting out a soft sigh she smiled and lightly shook her head as he replied, now knowing she at least paid more attention then he did, even though it usually did not seem so.
Becoming lazy as he spoke, Marlee sat herself down and in no way proper. She looked to him still with her dull, curious eyes her wings twitching at the new seated position as she spoke, "...I would love to follow you into the forest one day, it is decided." So, as simple as that, Marlee decided she would trek into the unknown territory and surprisingly because she wanted to know about the malu that stand before her.
