"It would be a waste of my time to lift a paw in your direction and it looks like we have wasted our time. Come on Morty, I am sure there are different places around here we can explore." he said and turned away from the male to leave. Morty nodded her head as she turned with Adjo.

"I'm... a waste of your time?"
Igniculus narrowed his eyes, insulted. He folded his arms, glaring at the Nightmare Kitsusagi. He really wasn't fond of them to begin with, but this one wasn't even afraid of him.
"Just don't head for the forest, OK?" He sighed. "Otherwise I'm going in there to get you. The hissy hates my kind, and even his own. Nobody's going to be spared from his wrath, understand?"
He sighed and began to follow after them.

Adjo just sighed and kept plodding along, quickening his pace. Hearing that roar, he knew better then to take himself and Morty into the forest right now, he would never forgive himself if anything happened to her. Morty looked over her shoulder as the male followed after them.

Igniculus continued to follow after them, keeping attentive as he possibly could - one ear kept flicking back, the other high and rotating, carefully listening for sounds that might be threatening.
"Are you leaving because of me, or because of the angry hissy?" He asked.
Moments later, another roar sounded out from the forest. This one was anger-filled, as well as very loud and territorial. The owner of the sounds began moving through his territory, walking into the thinner edges of it, snarling out as he flicked his blue tongue at the air.
"Coward!! Sss!!" He hissed, roaring out to the creatures beyond his forest territory. "Destroy my home, stand on my plants, and then flee?! Where are you!? I'll stalk you to the ends of the earth!!"

Adjo was about to say something, but his ears pinned back when he heard the roar and he tensed up when Morty tucked herself against him again in fear. This one sounded closer and the he didn't want Morty to get hurt to see a fight should it come to that. "You? The one who talks too much about himself. Do you know a safe place you can take Morticia for now?" he growled out.
Morty shook her head, "Adjo, no!! I can't leave you behind!!" she protested. Yes she was scared, but she wasn't going to leave her big 'brother' behind!

Igniculus glanced upwards, pondering taking refuge in the tall trees. The Nightmare wouldn't be able to get them there... but then again, the other Nightmare with the female wouldn't even be able to get up there either.
"Yeah," He replied. "But um, if I take the chicca up there to be nice an' safe, you wouldn't be able to get up there yourself. Not unless you can use your spine-whispy things to fly, and I highly doubt that seeing as though the evil-hissy can't."
"However..." He grinned. "If you're cool with that, I can keep her company in the trees. I'll protect her - we'll be just dandy together alone in the treetops. I dunno how you're going to defend yourself against the hissy, but..." He shrugged. "You'll manage." He gave the female a wink.

"You know what....nevermind....I was going to try and distract him from you, but instead, me and Morticia are going to go home and YOU can deal with him on...your....own...." he said, emphasising each part.

The loud sound of a nearby roar could be heard as the teal-green Nightmare Kitsusagi stormed out into the open, his fangs bared, jaw wide and open. His spotted pelt was matted and dusty, sticky with tree sap also. The brown spine-whisps on his back lashed like tree vines that were posessed, and he paced forwards towards the group, growling. He couldn't see where they were at all, but he seemed to know already.
Torvamund made a loud hiss, puffing up his chest, the matted hair on the back of his neck rising. "I smell you, and the whisper of the trees tell me where you are. So don't try to hide from me." He spoke in a low voice, barely being able to contain his anger. "Now, come here so I can rip your limbs off your body, you arrogant twit." He stopped, flicking his tongue at the air again. "You brought backup this time? You are even more of a coward than I thought."
Igniculus was about to respond to Adjo, loudly yelping at the roar. He waved his paws at the new arrival, flaring out his wings as he moved forwards.
"Just cut it out, OK? They're not with me, they have nothing to do with this! Just go back to your forest or territory or whatever the crap you call it, we can deal it later, huh?"
He looked back to Adjo and Morticia, whimpering. "You guys should run. Go home. Like you wanted to, huh?"

"Adjo, we can't leave him! Please!" she pleaded, shaking in fear. Adjo sighed a bit and then nodded, "Fine, if you can, follow us." he growled. Tensing his body, he called forth his own Nitemare powers and called forth the sand that he knew was in the earth. Stomping his paw down heavily, the ground shook and suddenly a wall of sand erupted in front of the other male Nitemare and descended upon him.
Adjo panted hard as he turned and started to run, Morty spreading her wings open and flying after him.

Torvamund was taken aback as a large wall of sand burst forth from the ground right in front of his snout, smacking him square in the face. He reared back, pressing his body to the ground, buffetted by the sudden sand attack.
All he could make was a muffled growl, keeping his maw closed, not wanting to get sand in his mouth, or nostrils.
"Curses be to you!!" He growled, trying to shake himself off. Sand stuck to his fur, and it was highly uncomfortable. He tried to hear where they were going, but sound was distorted now, thanks to the wall of sand.
Igniculus made a loud high laugh with glee at the scene, and bounded after Adjo and Morticia.
"That was incredible!" He grinned. "But, we need to get out of here, like, right now!" He continued to run after them, glancing back at Torvamund, hoping he was still distracted.
"So what else can you do, buddy?" He grinned at Adjo. "If the lady can do something fancy too, we could probably combine our respective elemental powers and thrash him for good!"

"I could probably do it one more time. And Morty isn't old enough to use her powers yet, we don't know what they are yet!" he said as they continued to run, deciding that home was the best place to go to.

"Just lead the way, huh?" He grinned, flaring out his golden and orange feathered wings, springing into the air, quickly sailing over them, landing again. He gave Morticia a wink, then flared out the wings, trying to show off to her.
"If you want, I can carry you, mister hissy. I'm pretty strong, I can carry you anywhere." He grinned, fluffing out his chest for a moment, feeling rather proud. "The lovely lady and I can fly, and you can direct the way. Does that sound good to you?"
Torvamund shook himself off again after the sand-torrent had ceased, a loud snarl rising up in his throat. Why had a Nightmare of all creatures attacked him? He didn't like ANY Kitsusagi, but... one of his own species could be more tolerated than the others.
He put his nose to the ground and flicked out his blue tongue, attempting to smell them out. He would find them, eventually.
"Stupid idiots..." He growled. "Can't escape me forever...

"Look, do us a favor and shut your mouth until we get home!! If you haven't noticed by now, Nitemares have far superior hearing and he will follow us if you keep yapping!" he hissed as he kept running along.
Morty blushed a bit when the male kept showing off, but she was concerned for her Nitemare companion, hoping Adjo didn't use to much of himself to help them escape.

Igniculus pinned his ears back, keeping his head low, knowing when to be quiet. He sighed and landed, keeping behind the pair, watching his back frequently.
"I don't think it will make too much of a difference..." He frowned. "If you tread on the ground, he can hear it. If you walk on the grass, or climb a tree, he knows where you are, and which tree you're IN. It's just... I don't know how the heck he does it, and I've been keeping an eye on him for many, many years."

"Why don't I carry you Adjo? It'll be slow going, but he won't be able to follow us if we are all in the air." Morty said in a low voice.
