Vaek winked towards Geode, and the djinn started to giggle a little. With that, he led the others out and away from their hometown of Vale and out into the wilderness. Vaek let the others walk ahead of him a little, but then he stopped and turned around to look back one last time at his village. "To think. 50 years ago, on this very day, Isaac and Garet left on their journey." Geode looked up at him.
"Well, they were under different circumstances."
"What do you mean?"
"I think the Wise One is following us. I just saw him hiding behind a huge rock a few minutes ago."
"Why would he follow us?"
"I'm not sure, but lets just be extre careful."
Vaek turned back and walked towards his group. "Since we're out here now, we can train against some of the animals around here."

Cairne stared down the road. The great open plains that rolled before them. Just over those hills were an adventure. He shivered with excitment. Now he will set off as the great heroes did over 50 years ago.
"Seems my training won't be for naught after all." He said to himself. "Well, lets get moving then shall we?" As he steeped out onto the road, his Djinn, Ember, perched atop his shoulder and a great smile across his face.

Vaek looked around as they continued down the road.
"Was the start of the journey always this boring? There's nothing out here."
"Don't count on it yet. We have company."
Vaek noticed a whole group of bandits leaving heading towards them. One of them was carrying a strange looking artifact. Geode began to stir.
"What's wrong?"
"Those thieves have the Shaman's Rod! It's the key to helping us get in the lighthouses! We have to get it back!
With that, Vaek drew his sword and pointed it at the bandits. "Everyone! Those men have something valuable to our quest. Retrieve it at all costs!"

with that Quint drew a single katana and started running at the bandits ready for a good fight

Vaek didn't hear Quints comment because he was already lunging towards the bandits. He leaped into the air and slashed vertically towards on bandit, knocking him down. He then turned to two others and yelled, "Quake!" The ground beneath them began to shake and they fell over. He then looked at Geode.
"You ready?"
"Go for it!"
Vaek picked up Geode and threw him into the air. "GEODE!" The small djinn suddenly became a large boulder. Vaek then launched it at the two bandits, crushing them. Geode returned to normal and fell back onto Vaek's shoulder.
"That was fun."

now there were only 2 left "CLOUD" quint yelled and as he did a heavy fog fell, with that he lunged at one of the bandits stabbing him in the neck. Then turned on his heel and used slash on the other, after that the fog lifted

Vaek looked around. The bandits seemed dead, and there appeared to be no more. He then turned to Cairne, and noticed one approaching him from behind. "Cairne! Look out!"

Quint was down the road scouting ahead and didnt know what was going on behind him

Cairne was suprised that the fight was over so quickly. Though it wasn't really. He didn't notice the last bandit sneaking up behind him. The bandits sword came streaming down at Cairnes neck looking to kill him outright.
"Clumsy oaf." Was all that came from Cairnes mouth as the bandit behind him was set ablaze.
Screaming in agony, Ember hopped up on his shoulder again. A satisfied and almost frenzied smile creeped across Cairnes face as he listened to the mans screams. It was almost music to his ears...almost.
One swift swing from his axe and the bandit fell silent, as his voice was cut short.
"Now, THAT was fun."

Quint heard screams and sprinted back down the road towards his comrades, sword at the ready. when he arrived there was a body cut in half and burnt to a crisp. "What happened?"

Vaek laughed a little. "Nothing. Cairne just tore this guy apart. I think he might be having too much fun on this journey already." He then walked towards one bandit's body, and pulled the Shaman's Rod away from him. "Good, we have the rod. Now lets head for Vault. It shouldn't be that much farther. It's a short distance from here." Geode looked at Vaek.
"This seems wrong."
"What do you mean?"
"Bandits stealing the Shaman's Rod? That happened 50 years ago with Isaac and Ivan. We have to get to Vault and fast."
"But Ivan might be dead for all we know."
"It doesn't matter. Vault could be in trouble now that we just killed these bandits."

Meanwhile...
Lord was over viewing the current battle, having failed to depart on time. He petted his Djinn calmly, and looked down towards the Previously peaceful town of Vale. A small group of villagers were heading his way. All this turmoil... He smiled to himself, and the Djinn gave a sort of smile back. Even after all these years, seeing people in terror before what they didn't quite know... Priceless. Lord took the Djinn's tail, and pressed it against himself, shuddering. Was all this really needed? Just to keep himself from causing harm? Ground twitched, and flopped out of Lord's arms, making growling noises. Lord sighed, pick up the Being of Earth, and moved off down the hill to rejoin his companions.

"Hmph, what took ya lord? You missed all the fun." A sadistic smile still embraced his face. Nothing like a good fight to improve the mood of an already happy soldier.
He slowly cleaned his axe with a rag he had kept in his back pocket. Ember sat upon his shoulder, rocking back and forth playfully. Cairne stared at the burnt man, serves him right for thinking I was stupid and weak. He spit on the body before putting away the axe and turning back to Vaek.
"What are we going to do with the bodies? We cant just leave them here." The smile slowly dissapearing from his face to reform a serious expression that he usually wore.
