"If you are holding back on eating your fill," he began, voice rich with amusement, "due to some sort of odd courtesy, I beg you to re-consider. You'll feel happier and stronger if you eat your fill. There is certainly enough for two from this poor, stupid beast."
There, she thought. She wouldn't press him if he was truly finished eating, but a shrewd guess told her he hadn't. That same shrewd guess told her that it would do her no good to try and coerce this one into doing anything. Instead, she raised herself from the foreshoulder of the gazelle and began to meticulously groom herself.

Odin grinned, but he did not dip back down to take another bite. He had decided to eat until he was pleased, but not to overeat and stuff himself. A full stomache would probably make him lethargic, and he hated acting sluggish at any time.
"Ah, I am pretty full. You seemed to snatch yourself quite the beast." He could mean that in two different ways, though he was moreso directing that towards the carcass near them. He watched her idly clean herself until he picked it up himself, licking his paw to wash his face, which he deemed as the most important part of any body.
He paused for a moment to offer another call of thanks. "Your selflessness it noted and duely appreciated, as well." And with that he worked to finish off his face, the best he could do for now.

Nimloth gave a nod, pleased by his responses. She resumed cleanign her face for a few moments longer before speaking again.
"You are quite welcome, Odin. And if you are content, I am as well."
With that, she stood. She'd rid herself of the rest of the blood later when she could find a stream. But now, she had to decide what to do with the carcass. Insects and the other small scavengers would benefit from her luck, she thought. But she hated the thought of a lion or the like coming across her kill and stealing it for themselves.
"I believe I have a small favor to ask of you, Odin," she said. "Would you mind helping me hide this from any lions who might cross this path? I woudl not have them benefit from this poor beast."

The white lion offered Nimloth a bow before replying to her request. "Of course I would, I am in debt to you for offering so generously a meal." He had to admit that the meal went much better then he dared to dream, and he probably wouldn't have to worry about eating again until tomorrow, or perhaps even the day after that.
"Where would you like it? I would be pleased to help you hide it from lions." His tone was pleaseant until it hit the term about lions. He didn't mind them too much, as long as they kept themselves away from him. As far away as possible was the best place for them, and only then would Odin say that they were halfway decent creatures.

Nimloth thougth hard. Where would be the best place to allow the little scavengers the most chance to fill their bellies? If she and Odin shared the burden of the gazelle carcass, she thought they should at least be able to get it as far as the hiding place she'd been using earlier.
"How long were you following me before you'd made yourself know?" she asked. The ease with which she could describe the place would depend on how long he'd been on her trail. "There was a small screen of vegetation I was using as a resting place earlier. I think that might be the best place to leave this."

"Ah, I know where that is," he mentioned casually before snagging his teeth on the carcass to begin dragging it. It was a bit heavier then it seemed, but with a little bit of a struggle he was able to get it moving.
He paused for a moment, his eyes darting back up to the leopard before him. He dropped the carcass to admit that he had been watching her. "Yes, for a time, but I did now know that you were here until I saw you dart out from your cover. Otherwise," he turned to motion towards the large tree that was quite a bit away from them. "I was lying in that tree, just watching everything."
Hopefully she would just shake it off, since it was the truth.

"Convienient that," she replied easily before taking up her own share of the burden. Really, it didn't bother her in the least that he'd been watching her for so long. Rather it made things easier as far as their burden was concerned.
After a few more steps, she set the carcass down and rested a moment.
"I think with your leave, I'll try takign a nap in that tree once we've rid ourselves of this, Odin. Even with two, this is heavy work."

Odin took a moment to brush a bit of the leaves and grass around the carcass as if to help conceal it just a bit more. In his mind, every little bit helped, and he felt it was only proper to do after the gift that Nimloth had given him. A full tummy. Any leopard wouldn't deny that!
He turned back after finishing his task, his attention soon returning to the white leopard in front of him. He cocked a brown, a bit intrigued, and figuring her comment was quite direct. "Ah, so are you giving me permission to leave, then?" He offered her a sly smirk as the words left his mouth, easily poking a bit of fun at her.

Laughign easily, Nimloth shook her head.
"I meant with your permission, Odin. And I would never presume to try and give orders to anyone, much less a male who could easily trounce me."
Giving the male an innocent smile that she hoped he wouldn't believe for a moment, she stretched out her legs and back.

Odin laughed, humored that she mentioned about how he could 'trounce' her. "I wouldn't do a thing like that, not to one such as pretty as yourself."
He stretched himself as well, feeling good with a full stomache and temporary company. "I shall take my leave soon, though, but you were wonderful company and quite selfless."
He stretched out his claws, giving them a good lick before rubbing his face to touch it up a bit. It was always a good idea to look your best, no matter what. What you looked like what always the first, and most lasting impression that you could put on others.

"My, what flattery," Nimloth replied with a laugh of her own. How long it had been since she'd had someone this quick to converse with! That Odin would go his own way soon didn't bother her. It was the way of their kind, after all.
"I will admit, my friend, you were also excellent company. Perhaps one day, we can meet again and you can be the one to do the hunting," she teased, before following his example and grooming herself. Once he was gone, she would very likely also leave this place and find new paths to wander.

Hearing these compliments made his tail curl. You give some, and recieve some, simple as that. And both parties are so pleased, there wasn't any way that it was a bad thing.
"Aaah, I would be glad to hunt for you, Nimloth, for I do owe you a lovely meal now." He let his tail flop still behind him as he pulled himself up from his stretch, feeling relaxed and tempted to go find a place to take a nap for a while. Hmmm, maybe he would return to that tree. It was close and safe.

Wrinkling her nose slightly, Nimloth considered the best place to rest after having eaten so much. Her screen was dismissed without hesitation. There was a carcass there now and she doubted the little scavengers would come and eat if she was lying there.
Sitting up a bit straighter, she eyed the tree that Odin had pointed out. There were plenty of branches for all, she thought. And sleeping off the ground was certainly safer...
Yawning hugely, Nimloth stood and winked at Odin. "Forgive me, friend," she murmured. "But I simply must have a small nap and your tree looks to be the safest place around for that."

Oh. Well. He wasn't going to change his plans now, so he might as well escort her to this tree of his, that was his for the moment. "Certainly, I was just going there myself for a relaxing nap. I would be pleased if you would allow me to guide you there?" His ear perked up as he offered, his golden eyes switching from her and the tree, which didn't seem as far away as it did just moments ago.
"Not that there is anything dangerous to come across, but you never know what just might be out there now." He grinned, a glimmer in his eyes.

"Lead on friend Odin," Nimloth replied easily. She caught the glimmer in his eye and smiled. "Though I rather think that you and I are the most dangerous things around currently."
Following after the white and blue male, Nimloth allowed herself a small, pleased smile. It wasn't often she was able to tease and banter with anyone. That Odin was just as quick and sardonic as she made it that much sweeter an experience.
