Jill2282 The fact that the first five pairings were yaoi is a little surprising. It just says that they approve of gay people more than other countries (ehemAMERICAehem). But I'm not surprised to see that SasuSaku is the first straight pairing. Just sorta shoves what some of my NaruSaku fan friends are saying up their arses. EDIT: Wait a second. Did I just see YonKaka as 16th? I've never even heard of that! Explain this to me! YonKaka is the typical Teacher/Student yaoi pairing. Think KakaNaru with more angst and less shown mouth.

KanaRenee Shounen jump has surveys and the fans respond to the surveys-- like with the favorite character ones. Another thing to notice about the Japanese ones are the fact that SasuNaru and NaruSasu are both on there. The same pairing, just different seme-- along with KakaSasu and KakaNaru and KakaIru. It's the teacher fetish. But the first heteropairing is SasuSaku. Well, yes.... but counting all the people who didn't take the polls, those numbers may not be so correct..

I'm really not that surprised. mad D This has been knowledge for the past two years I believe. NaruSasu and SasuNaru have always been considered seperately so they're two different pairings in the Japanese fandom. Different art sites for different pairings, as well as fan listings.
Though I would have to agree with you on the KakuSaku. In japan SasuSaku (as a hetero pairing) rivaled only to KakaSaku a couple of years ago. Of course this may just the number of fanart/fan sites up on the web. I honestly think there are more fans.
But STILL. According to this poll, we're awesome and duplicating like bunnies. *waves flag* heart

I consider NaruSasu and SasuNaru the same pairing because the people in it are the same-- who cares who's seme. :/
I dont' really like yaoi anyway, so XDDDD
That's like saying SasuSaku and SakuSasu are two different pairings, when you get Pink haired Uchiha's either way and the people are the same. It's called dual rolls. XD

Wow, I am 'some-what' surprised that SasuNaru AND NaruSasu counts even though their the same. = . =? maybe it's the Seme - Uke thing that counts?
Yesh, all these things happening, I'm not surprised to see SasuSaku 1st >.<
Devaint art = Many SasuSaku pcitures made it to the 'Most Popular for Today'
Though SasuNaru only comes once in a while.
I just hope Kishimoto won't let all these fans down, I mean... he can't possibly put Sasuke and Naruto together in this series...can He?

I find it odd that KakaIru wins by such a huge margin. But I wish we could see the page where they posted the results of the survey. Anybody know where to get a copy?
Anyway. The size of the fandom could play a part on how Kishimoto's going to make everything turn out. Seeing as the series is a shounen series, he's bound to pick the most likely het couple. And being that SasuSaku is the most popular het couple in Japan, then he could be pressured to make it SasuSaku to please his fans.
But then again, I'd rather that he planned it to be SasuSaku right from the start. heart
