He said the names to himself in a low whisper as if to commit them to memory. "Aeildail, Vena, Sia, and Tarik." He moved his eyes from each taur, finally landing on the largest taur he'd ever seen. His eyes were wide as Tarik bent to show him his antlers. "Wow. I've never seen..." He couldn't help but raise his little hands to feel them before blushing shyly.
He flashed a sideways grin at the cervitaur and then looked over into the bright eyes of Vena. "I saw you coming here. You're a foxtaur like me." He was excited to have found a taur that he shared such an automatic bond with. He smiled widely and turned to the orange and white lady.
"Sia, I like your name." He blushed again slightly at the quick admittance. For some reason, the little child couldn't think of anything else to say to the friendly taur. He turned back to Aeildail.
"How come you're so little?" His young age didn't soften the blunt question before it was out. Kriss didn't seen to notice though and comfortably settled beside his smallest new friend by the fire.

Tarik gave out a gentle laugh when Kriss touched his antlers. "It's ok, not many types of taurs have antlers." He then stood back up once he finished showing his antlers. He smiled at Kriss, he was deffinately a very handsomely cute littler taur.
He looked over at Aieldial when he asked her why she was so small, praying that it didn't offend her.
Vena smiled at him, then shook her head a little bit, "No, I'm not a foxtaur too, I'm a wolftaur, but we are extremely close to the race, so do not let that frighten you." She still smiled. She wanted him to get it right, but still remember that she wasn't so far from being his race herself. Well, deffinately closer then everyone else here, but Kriss himself of course.
((Don't worry about it Shyb. Real life, ALWAYS comes first. We will wait, because we're cool like that. xd mrgreen 3nodding ))

She smiled at Kriss when he said he like her name,"Thankyou."She said in a kind voice.Sia stood up and walked over to a small pile of wood. She picked up some pieces and walked over to the fire and put them into the flames.Once she found a comfortable spot to sit, she finally sat on the opposite side of the fire.
"Well, I'm a pygme so I will forever be this size...."Aeildial said in a bit of a sad tone. She didn't really like it when people asked her that question. Aeidial looked at the fire then at Kriss,"Do you have any family members Kriss?"She asked gentally.

Kriss smiled back at Tarik and tried his best to stand as tall as him, taking one lap around the fire.
As he passed Vena, he had a confused look on his face. "But I thought all taurs with tails like our's were the same?" He had never met a wolftaur, but he was relieved that he didn't get in trouble for his mistake.
As he continued around Sia passed him with an arm full of wood. He temporarily forgot his practiced stride and eagerly picked a fallen twig up with both hands. He watched, mimicking her by putting the twig in the fire. He wanted to help, he just wasn't sure how. He continued walking tall before relaxing again next to Aieldial. He wanted to be big and handsome like Tarik, but he still felt very small.
When he heard her sad reply to his question, he didn't understand why she would feel that way. He tiredly rubbed the backs of his fists in his eyes and scooted a bit closer. He sweetly replied, "I'm glad you're little Aeildial. That way I don't feel so small." He curled up with his back to the fire in a warm little ball and drifted to the first easy sleep since he'd found himself on his own.

Aeildial smiled, that was so cute.She couldn't think of a reply and she didn't want to wake him up. So she smiled at him and looked at the fire.
Sia smiled and got up to get more wood. Kriss was a little sweet heart and she was being careful not to make too much noise as she picked up some heavier pieces of wood. She didn't want to wake him from his sleep. Carefully she crept back over to the fire and put the wood into it.

Vnea got up and laid down beside Kriss so the slowly picking up wind wouldn't hit the small taur and awaken him. She prayed the wind wouldn't get so fast that they'd have to stop the campfire. Vena loved hte heat, and the fact that the fire's light lit her pelt aflame, making her look like a walking, talking fire with water eyes.
She looked down at Kriss who was infront of her about a foot. As he laid down curled up, he reminded her of herself. Only, her tail was slightly shorter. Which it would forever be shorter. Her eyes looked motherly towards the youngest taur. She wished him sweet dreams as he slept in safety with them.
Tarik stood tall as he continueously looked around their camp. He made himself the self assigned gaurdian of the whole group. Her watched around them, and at them. He felt an extreme soft spot for the small taur who had joined them. By the way he seemed to have knocked out into sleep, the cervitaur assumed that he might not have had good sleep for the last while.
Looking up Tarik felt the wind picking up. He wondered if that was normal becuase they were in a field, or abnormal and happening just because. He looked around to make sure it was only the wind rustling the leaves before physically relaxing a little.
((If you two don't mind, I'd like to bring Kalpana into this Rp. If you think it's too awkward to bring in my female harpy child then that's fine.))

As he closed his eyes, silence fell on the small group. Even in his easy dreams, Kriss felt the wind blow across the meadow. He curled his tail tighter around him despite feeling quite protected from the breeze. The crackling of the fire lulled him deeper as he sensed the other taurs movements around the warm fire. He willed himself to wake, but couldn't help enjoying the nap.

Sia poked the fire once with a stick before she stood up and looked around.She shivered as she walked over to Tarik,"So how are you?"She asked in a hushed tone so she wouldn't wake Kriss up."Man, it has gotten cool out already..."Sia whispered to him as she rubbed her arms to keep them warm.
Aeildial hummed quietly as she continued bradding the flower head band. She had to pick new flowers since the ones she had before where starting to wilt.

(Ok, becuase now I have the scene ready for her to come. Meh ebil plan!)) A small harpy in the sky flew with the wind calmly, but as it picked up she started to lose control. Her wings were unable to carry her in this mess of a wind, she came tumbling from the sky. Her wings sore from the long flight to begin with, but the strong winds brought her to the ground. She landed with a thud at the edge of the meadow. As she fell an unhuman or landtaur - like screech escaped from her lips.
Laying there her wings felt broken though she knew they weren't. Her head had hit hard, so slowly her eyelids closed, she hated being vulnerable but there was no way for her wake up again.Tarik placed a hand on Sia's shoulder. "I'll be fine." But his eyes caught the odd long tailed bird shadow falling from above the treeline. "But that won't be." He said as he bolted off. Turning to Vena as he left the warmth of the fire, "Watch him, and if he comes, come with him."
Just as he thought it wasn't that bad, a huge screech came as the creature neared the ground. He brought his hands to cover his ears. "God." He gasped.Vena didn't see or hear the creature, but she watched as Tarik bolted past, she nodded to his words. Her tail twitched. As soon as she saw Tarik's hands raise up to cover his own ears, Vena moved her hands, swift and gently to cover Kriss's ears. "I'll not leave him" She promised to her older brother.
She hated what the screech was doing to Tarik, she held Kriss's head over the ears hoping she could help block out the sound of whatever it was for the small taur. "What could do that?" She whispered to noone but herself.

A shiver ran down his spine, shocking him awake as suddenly as a blast of cold water. He was scared for only a minute before he realized Vena was there with him. Kriss wasn't sure what had woken him, but he was nervously searching for danger with wide eyes. He saw Sia and Aeildial still around the fire, and scooted closer into the safety of Vena's arms, his hands grasping her for comfort. He realized that Tarik had left and started to shiver a bit, despite the warmth of the fire. "What's going on?" He whispered to himself as he tried to get a handle on things.

Vena welcomes the youngertaur into her arms. Hoping to give him comfort. She held him tight in her embrace, hoping to stop his shivering and to comfort him. She looekd over to the direction that Tarik left in, "He's off to check something. I'm not sure what." She admitted. "But I will not leave you. I promised." She whispered gently into his ear as she ran one hand through his soft hair before returning her arm to hold him around the torso.

Sia jumped up and looked around, she circled the area around the fire a few times before coming to sit back down close to the others. Her ears were perked up and were listening for even the slightest threatening sound.
Aeildail stood up calmly, despite being startled beyound words. she careful followed the pth Tarik had gone and was no longer carrying her flower head ban. She caught up to Tarik and looked up at the tall cervi,"What has happened?"She asked in a shakey voice.

Tarik looked down at Aieldial, "I'm not sure what it was." He spoke as he kept walking forewards. He stepping grew lighter and lighter and he crouched some as he neared the place were he figured the creature to have landed.
As he moved a light brown feather lay on teh ground before him. Leaning down he carefully picked it up. "This is too large to be any bird feather. Do you know what it could have come from," He asked whispering as he handed the pygme unitaur beside him.
As he kept walking foreward there was an indent in the grass. Looking at it, he gasped. Laying there was a beautiful female bird of some sorts. Her large wings for her size wrapped around her slightly awkwardly. Tarik looked at her face. By the looks she was out cold. "What should we do with her? Should we help her?"
The harpy girl laid there unmoving before the landtaur's eyes. She could hear their words and feel their footsteps through the ground waves, but there was no way she could move or speak, nor could she open her eyes so she was unable to react to them. She she laid there, praying they wouldn't kill her for what her ancestors had done. Unless, they didn't know about their part in the war. Maybe....

In the warmth and safety of Vena's arms, Kriss had finally managed to stop shivering. He stood, eager to see where Aeildail and Tarik had gone. He couriously wandered a few steps in the direction Sia was looking, but stayed close enough to still feel the radiant heat from the fire. The air was heavy with expectant tension and after glancing at Sia, Kriss mimiced her by perking his ears up to listen too. Dispite the potential danger, excitement was creeping into the little taurs heart. He turned back to Vena with an unhidden smile on his face, quickly returning to her side, but keeping an eye on the same far target he shared with Sia.

Aeildial took the feather in her hands and looked at it. When she walked over to were Tarik was looking she saw a harpy lying there, she took a few steps toward the feathered girl and looked at her.She looked back at Tarik,"I think she is hurt, we gotta help her."Aeildail whispered to him. Her split hooves silently crept toward the girl and she lightly tapped her on the shoulder,"Can you hear me?Are you hurt?"She asked in a kind voice.
Sia's eye's were fixed on the spot where the other two had walked off to. Her left ear twitched slightly and she mumbled something to herself.
