-- Zloy Volk -- pandapjays XD Wow, if that's your opinion of Bey why are you in the fandom? I want to make it clear I have no problem with people supporting pairings in Shonen, it's just when they take it too far that irks me, to the point where they get violent and protective of fake characters over real people etc. Also the way people ignore aspects to make their OTP 'better' than other people's, causing them to cause offense to others. I mean it's a show and some people treat it like a cult. Right there with you on that buddy. And i'd just like to make a point that i wasn't actually talking about BL pairings specifically, and that the character weren't the age they are in the series. So i was just saying that they will form relationships, intimate relationships, at some point in time. But i see where your coming from. Its a show. End of story 3nodding BUT, i'm not a fangirl, never will be, they irritate me. I just have an overactive imagination and like to picture things. That and i've basically no idea what has happened in the show as i've barley watched it. I just really like the characters. And manipulating them. Not that i do much of that anymore. I'd rather create my owny characters and world now so... *shrugs* And don't think some of us can't see it from a boy's point of view either, we just have our own intentions to entertain ourselves basically. And i think that fanfictions are really just practise at keeping people in character (not that many do *sigh*) and creating a story. I've moved away from it now for some reason. And going on from that, i really don't think anyone is trying to suggest that the pairings are what the author had in mind, it really is just wishing and imagining. Its a story, made up, and other people are going to add there own stories onto it. I think it comes down to just having fun, unless you get obsessive over it of course. Thats what the show and beyblades itself is for you right? Fun, a hobby. But hey... its fun to disect things... xD

Lainy Wolf And don't think some of us can't see it from a boy's point of view either, we just have our own intentions to entertain ourselves basically. I mean I'm sure every fangirl can, it's just most would find it boring... Lainy Wolf And going on from that, i really don't think anyone is trying to suggest that the pairings are what the author had in mind, it really is just wishing and imagining. Well I'm not speaking directly about people here, I'm speaking about every fan, so that includes the kooks and rabid fans that occasionally pop up to claim every fiber of X character or pairings' existance and dissapear into the Naruto or InuYasha fandom. Quote: I think it comes down to just having fun, unless you get obsessive over it of course. Thats what the show and beyblades itself is for you right? Fun, a hobby. Of course. Pairing characters and producing fanfictions in specific styles is like Beyblade customisation. But saying there are canon BL pairings is like trying to use an illegal Sunflower weight disk in a tournament. That's how I see it anyway... The pairings are possible under some circumstances and if some decisions were made, but not originally intended. I'll leave it at that.

Usually the threads just die. My essays were concerned with not liking pairings, so I don't see the off-topicness.

Sorry I disappeared- I went on choir tour. Funfun! -- Zloy Volk -- Of course. Pairing characters and producing fanfictions in specific styles is like Beyblade customisation. But saying there are canon BL pairings is like trying to use an illegal Sunflower weight disk in a tournament. That's how I see it anyway... That Has to be the weirdest analogy I have EVER seen. Hilarious, yes. But weird. I think that the only thing that really makes me cranky when it comes to pairings is demonising a chraacter completely in order to make your pairing 'work' (And it only really pisses me off because I've done it before XD) E.g. KaiRei vs Mariah.

Not trying to offend anyone, but I can't stand any yaoi parings in beyblade. It just doesn't look right to me... confused

... I guess I'm getting used to all the different pairings now (try spending every other day with a fangirl telling you her latest yaoi fanfic), so there probably isn't any pairing I won't read about at least once.
Yes, that includes the older dudes, whoever they may be paired with. I mean, I survived 2 weeks of hearing nothing but Uchihacest, which is slightly worse than plain old yaoi, so I'll probably survive pretty much anything else, despite my overactive and extremely detailed imagination (right down to the voice, Japanese or English, depends which one I've heard more often and can imagine more clearly).

XD Coming over to the darkside, flame. Excellent
@Random--Obsessions(Sorry, I have NO idea how to shorten your new name- any suggestions?): Why would you be offending anyone? You have a right to your opinion 3nodding
XD Incest makes me laff. Has anyone else noticed that all the recent 'vogue' anime (aka. the one's EVERYONE seems to like) have three things in common? (By recent I'm talking about Inuyasha, FMA and Naruto... though Bleach is starting to come into it.)
~ WAY big potential for yaoi
~ Female character everyone can hate (Kikyo/Kagome, Winry, Sakura)
~ Potential for incest (Inu-Sesshy, Elricest, Uchihacest)
Weird, I tell you.

...dark side? Nah, yaoi is just an extension of the saying "Inside every woman, there is a man waiting to burst free," and of course, vice versa. Don't ask me who said that; I overheard someone and she said it was a quote.
Yes, I've noticed that. Its a bit...scary.
And even if I'm becoming more open to the yaoi thing, I can't draw it. At least, not if its blatantly obvious. I do have one Naruto fanart, though, where Aneue's influence is subtlely apparent. Naruto fanart[size=9]Take note of one particular character's gaze.[/size= rofl
