T3h penguin did i say it was in the front NO its in the back you could not fit a v8 in the front rofl haha funny Uhhh... What? You'd have a much easier time getting a small-block V8 into the front of that car than behind it, although the mid-engine layout would be a lot better for the car. Anyway, I know you're lying, because you already said this car came with a V6, which it does not, the "expensive body kit" is just the stock body effect package available as an option when you buy the car, and I can clearly see behind the front seats, and it is quite obvious there's no engine back there. Look, I have nothing against you, really, I don't. You're obviously a fan of cars, and that makes you one of us. You can come here and talk about your dream car, or what mods you'd like to do, or whatever, I'd love to talk shop, this guild is fairly dead, and I'd like to see it get more activity. But, if you keep BSing, I'll keep calling you on it.

You're full of it. That's probably not even you're car. I have personally never seen a Celica with anything other than an inline 4cyl but if you seriously think you can fool us then please keep going.

Ryu_Kaze T3h penguin Ryu_Kaze i have seen a mid-ship Celica with a SR20DET. that was a hell of a surprise.i can understand that the back would have enough room, but the front?! The front barely has any room for big mods from what I have seen did i say it was in the front NO its in the back you could not fit a v8 in the front rofl haha funny If the 8 is in the back, then that gas tank better be somewhere's else, and no, they cant fit together, gas and heat aint a good combo. Tank might be in the front, but would pretty much ******** the car's layout, i wanna c this engine, take a pic fo meh! this car sounds like a rolling coffin, lol, i wonder if it can pass inspection. me and my buddy pretty much ******** it up rofl

You stuffed an eight cylinder into a Celica? That's interesting... What kind of motor is it? A V8 FWD is definitely unique, I'll say that. Did you compensate the weight difference?

Toyota started experimenting with cars at 1935 and came out with their first car in 1936, the celica was one of their first sport cars along with the corolla the celica comes with either a 16v VVT-i or a 16v VVTL-i, both are 4 bangers and are 1.8ltr. the VVT-i (variable Valve timing - inline) has 130HP the VVTL-i (variable valve timing LIFT - inline) has 170HP both the V-tec and the VVT-i does about the same thing. V-tecs are hondas n' acuras, and no one swaps a honda for a toyota or vice versa. the only thing you got right about your car is that its a 4cyl. i wonder if you even know that its a toyota. you have no chance confused expecially if its a type-S that K20 will eat you alive read the brochure at least or you will be in for a major flaming cuz in this guild we have a Honda and a Toyota specialist

Nice research. Can't help but point out (From the Honda side) that Honda's variable timing mechanism is called VTEC, not V-Tec.
And yes, if you have a Celica GT, an RSX-S will kill it.
A GT-S could give it a pretty close race, though, those cars both run mid-14s.

=O If your Celica's worth as much as you say it is, why don't you get a Supra instead?
I mean; I had an 2000 Eclipse. I got rid of it for the 3000GT VR-4 I drive now. It was basically getting an upgrade and getting some cash out of it.
Then again, if lighter 4-cyl. cars are your thing, then don't pay attention to this post. I'm a TT V6 kinda guy, but my friend's B18C5-engine '99 Civic can eat up 'Stangs just fine; it sure as hell can corner better, too.

You could probably sell what you have now for a 1999 Civic Si coupe. That'd probably be faster than your Celica. A hatchback would be slower, though. It's up to you. You have a decent car right now, although I wish you'd take more pics for us.

Ooh, or you could get the EP3 Civic Si. That one's not too expensive, because most people hate it. I think it's ugliness just makes it more appealing to me.
