When putting Bakura in a relationship, anyrelationship, I've noticed his personality goes AWOL. And not in a good way. Suddenly he's all easy-going and tolerant. WTF? There's a few I've read that have stayed on base, but mostly... ick.
Darkshipping I don't understand either. I am hardcore Puzzleshipper. My OTP. And it's not likely incest, but the possiblity of Yuugi being Atem's ancestor or something of the like are pretty high.... ^^;

Mizuko-sama I have to admit. I'm not at all fond of Darkshipping or whatever "sexual tension" fans claim they have. In fact, absolutely I loathe that pairing, because it completely dismisses and tramples on canon facts. Yami Bakura will never go gooey and mawkish for his enemy. I don't care what the fanfics depict, that isn't Bakura, that's an imposter. Now, put yourself in my situation: "I can't stand Darkshipping and its implausible fandom is driving me NUTS. What do I do? And so we go to the next point: don't get involved with them. People are allowed to support whatever they like and if you happen to dislike those things, don't get involved. There will always be people supporting unlikely pairings such as these, and there's nothing we can do but respect their opinions. In other words, live with it. You don't need to make a thread like this. It'll just stem hate from the fans. Besides, for discussions such as these you're probably better off in Janime. lol. i just wanted some other peoples opinions.

Mizuko-sama Akila_Ishtar @Mizuko: *shrug* Just cause I don't get it, doesn't mean it's wrong. But, for me, I think the emotional aspect isn't the only thing necessary for a relationship. I don't believe in online dating for the same reason, I believe their ought to be some amount of contact. I mean, physical contact is a biological need isn't it? Sooo... mostly I guess I'd feel bad for them not being able to get that. At any rate, other than me being indifferent, I don't have a huge amount against it. So it's worthless for me to argue it any further. Very good post. I understand what you're trying to say and I too have no further arguments about it. 3nodding Quote: But I don't like the ignorance of the YamiBakuraxRyou argument. It really, really irks me. =.= Oooh, please clarify what that argument is about. whee Quote: The stereotypical Tendershipper is one of the only things worse thant the stereotypical Puppyshipper... This sounds interesting. Do define those stereotypical fans. blaugh Stereotypical Tendershipper: Obsessive fan who has a hard time accepting that Bakura should be with anyone but his dark half, and often yells at people who think otherwise. They will also come up with insane reasons for the two being together like that Yami no Bakura saved his host from Osiris' attack when facing Yuugi in the Battle City finals. (just because he wanted to protect the body that he also resided in... doesn't mean he's in love with his host...) Don't get me wrong, a lot of Tendershippers are awsome, but the stereotypical ones... always imagine Bakura as an innocent little uke and Yami no Bakura as a stubborn, yet kind an protective being... WTF? He's part of Zork, which is an evil god! Oh, and Bakura always gets raped. Always. Stereotypical Puppyshipper: While they seem to be able to accept people not like Puppyshipping more than Tendershippers with people not liking Tendershipping, they are still obsessive fans also. They will scower every bit of anything related to YUU*GI*OU to find proof to make Puppyshipping canon, and yet they always make the two so out of character. Jounouchi is the innocent uke with a bit of a rebellious streak while Kaiba is the strong-and-silent protector who will save Jounouchi from his drunken father! Stereotypical puppyshipers also are generally bad at grammar. (like worse than me bad...) Wow, I feel weird insulting a good amount of fans of my favorite pairing. XD;;;

sorry if i was kind of mean to other shippings...i was just tired of people doing stuff like that....
i dont know...im crazy, dont mind me.
although in the end, if i understand this correctly, most shippings are because people take some gestures too far (puzzleshipping included, i guess) or because they're hot (hormones! yay!) or for comedy relief (in an exaggerated manner).
again, i apologize if i offended anyone. whatever shipping it is, if you're labeled crazy, then so am i.

When it comes to ribs....
YES!!! Finally, someone who gets it!!! *hugs* I agree completely!!^^ And AtemYami makes no sense at all, either. But still, if someone doesn't like a pairing, just stay away from it. And YamiKaiba is just wrong also. Heat kills.
