Lind held her arms up in front of her face to shield it as her own wind was returned with twice the force. She probably would have been blown back had Wasp not shielded her with her its wings. Yet Wasp's gleeful smile did not fade as the intensity of the battle seemed to rise. Wasp lived for the fight, at least that was what Lind believed. It had been so long since meeting someone of such power. Then again, Lind was starting to seriously doubt these creatures were remotely human other than in looks.

It was risky move, the one that came to Lind's mind as she watched the man's attackers bear down on him once again, perhaps it was too risky against those deadly looking swords of theirs. Wasp mentally urged her on. It was an over confident creature at times, but there was no doubting its strength.

"Please loan me some of you power to fight as well." She said quietly. The piece of wood she'd held before lay forgotten on the ground, and instead the spirit's power was channeled instead in small portions into her own hands.

Lind could keep the calm nature of a general on the battlefield, but her tactics were never as well thought.

Lind dashed forward, her hands raised at chest level to attack, while Wasp's clawed fingers flexed excitedly to get at Alfo. Once again, he was the closer of the two.

'Oh, Great Gods and Goddess, if you have any fondness for me, please aid me to stop this!'

To exemplify valor on the battlefield, one will risk life and love, placing one's goals and comrades above one's self. Novik could see no better situation as to which to apply the phrase. He did not truly know the enemy, nor even his possible allies, but if he wished to prove himself worthy of that honorary promotion to knight, he would have to start strutting his stuff.

He took a deep breath and readied himself. The girl was charging Alfo again, and Jax was entirely focused on Tamuril, his back to Novik. Perfect. Novik sprinted toward Jax, drawing a sword. No turning back now... Time to prove I'm better than all of them once and for all!

Once within range, Novik leaped across the remaining distance and swung with all his might at Jax's head. If victory were to come so easily, Novik would be surprised. After all these demons had put the humans through, it would almost be a shame to end one of their lives so easily. On the other hand, Novikalumus's status in the eyes of others would be greatly elevated should he be the slayer of one such creature. The latter option heavily outweighed the former in the squire's mind.

[OH s**t. I was totally waiting for Myth to post and didn't know you did. Sorry guys.

And I'm glad you picked up the blatant hint of an attack on Takara too. I'll take care of the Dragon so you have something to reply too. 3nodding ]

The Dragon took a step forwards, revealing only part of himself. It would have been wiser he had help.... Much wiser. The Guardian Dragon was here with her and that would prove to be difficult. And yet it took that form. "Perhaps it cannot remember. Ha." The Dragon thought.

The Dragon himself had dark blue wings extending from his back. Each wing had a vertical span of, at least, his body. On his forehead was a black cloth covering his forehead. His shirt was also black, the edges of it jagged and, in parts, torn. His pants were the same. He was about as tall as Tamuril and built about the same as well. His eyes were light blue that seemed to reflect the moonlight that hit them.

"One more chance; Give the Diamond. We will get it." The Dragon spoke as if there was more of him there, but wasn't. It was speaking, of course, about his fellow Dragons.

Alfo knew the woman would try something again. He turned his body in her direction, readying himself for the on-coming attack. The creature on her back was in some sort of attack stance along with the woman. This might get a little troublesome.

Alfo quickly jumped far to his left, leaving Jax to Tamuril. His focus would be on this woman now. His wings pounded the air which forced him towards Lind, his sword sweeping across in hoped of killing her. He had doubts that attack actually would though. Which was why he had spewed fire from his mouth as well.

Jax continually attacked Tamuril. Even without Alfo he could hold his own against Tamuril, being the obvious stronger of the two and yet obviously not the smarter. hat didn't matter, as long as the end result was the same. And it would be the same, so long as Alfo killed that girl. He could tell that Alfo was starting to get serious. It wasn't only the fact that Alfo was focusing on the woman, it was because he was using fire as well.

Jax smiled and intended to do the same. Orders stated he could not use magic until Alfo did, and now that he did.... Well, things would start getting a little easier. Jax opened his mouth slightly, and Tamuril could see a sort of orange light from within it. "Crap!" he thought, knowing what would come. The light began disappearing though, as Jax sensed what was behind him. And what was about to come.

Tamuril looked now and could see the person from before. "What is with these people and wanting to fight? Jeez, it's unhealthy." The Dragon, however, wasn't worried at all. As the sword got closer to his head, the Dragon simply moved his wings to block. Once in position they almost looked like they tightened up, solid even. This would be reinforced when the sword actually hit them.

the sword made contact but instead of continuing through it bounced off not even leaving a scratch on the wings. Jax then began to expand his wings backwards, towards Novik. He'd better be quick and able to move in midair, or he'd be sent flying back.

Tamuril took control of the situation. He'd take advantage of the momentary distraction. He pushed forwards with his sword and then hit Jax in the gut with his foot. the Dragon stumbled back and regained himself before another attack. Although Takara could take care of herself and even though Eveel was there, Tamuril was still a little worried. "I've got somewhere to be, so let's end this already. Ya?"

Jax grinned in delight. "Just what I was thinking!" The Dragon lifted off the ground and stopped about four yards above it. His wings expanded outwards and his eyes began to glow. His skin suddenly began to change into a scaly substance. A tail was now visible. Is was scaly as well. At first Tamuril thought it was going to change into the form Eveel was usually in... But it wasn't. Once it's scales were out all over it's body the transformation stopped. The scales were the same color as his wings.

Alfo stopped his attack. he sensed what Jax was doing. "Well, mind as well. Alfo jumped back and began doing the same thing. The process was exactly the same as well as the end result. When Alfo landed on the ground he looked over to Lind. "Well then. Let's see how strong you really are." Alfo dashed forwards, his speed incredibly different than before. When he was getting closer the Dragon threw his sword at the woman and then jumped into the air. When getting closer to Lind, his wings pushed him towards her. In his hand was another weapon. It looked like a sword but wasn't. It was almost transparent. A sword made of wind.

Jax was doing the same thing now as well. Except Tamuril was was slowly on the losing side. the dragon had forgotten about Novik and obviously didn't care.

[LONG. I think I'm gong to go die now. D<]

((Oh calm, Doom. It was a lovely post.))

Novik's eyes went wide as he watched his blade slide straight off the scales. What a predicament he had launched himself into. There was hardly time to react. It was only his constant training that demanded quick reflexes that saved him, if it could even be considered a save. He flung an open hand out toward Jax, and shouted, "Kee'eten!" The result was an extremely feeble and extremely shaky half-bubble between the squire and the dragon. Novik slowed, still sinking toward the dragon, and was suddenly propelled in the opposite direction, the magic shield breaking with the force, and creating an audible CRACK the reverberated through the streets.

Novik landed on his feet, but unsteadily so, and stumbled backwards, almost spraining his ankle as he fell onto his butt. He sighed shakily and climbed back to his feet. He would not accept such a defeat, but he knew he had to be much smarter about his next approach. Think, think, think! If you want to be a warrior so damn much, FIGURE IT OUT! Crouching now, he punched the dirt and stood, shaken, but undeterred. I just need a plan...

Lind felt a sharp jerk as Wasp pulled her into the air. The creature had sharper senses than she did, and could feel the heat from the fire the moment it was produced. Lind regretted watching the sword go, it certainly would have been useful in a fight like this. She really should consider carrying weapons on her more often.

But now was not the time to dawdle on such thoughts, Alfo was coming at her faster than ever and threatened to slice her and Wasp clean in two with that strange wind sword of him. Fortunate for Lind that Alfo had not realized something else by now: she too wielded the wind as a weapon.

"Wespe!" Lind shouted, calling the being's true name. Wasp reached out with both clawed hands and reached past Alfo's head to grab a hold of both his wings. Holding tightly, the two of them flipped over Alfo's head. Wasp wasn't about ready to let go, and continued to hold tightly as Lind twisted her body and forced her hands into the lower part of Alfo's back. With the power taken from Wasp, it would only take minor pressure form her hands to break the skin. However, she wasn't sure how tough Alfo's skin might be, it could take a lot more effort than she had originally imagined. But now, she was already seeing blood pooling at her fingertips.

{{Shader-san, aren't you auto-hitting? D:}}

"Must I repeat myself?" Takara responded, her voice resembling the attitude of a rock. "No. Even if you kill me, you will never get the diamond." Takara had no weapons on her. Of ALL times. She always had something on her- even a blasted hair pin! But not at this moment. Stupid of her. She should have known better. Flying out into the night sky like that and not bringing anything out with her. Well, no matter. It appeared to her as if any of the weapons that she carried with her would prove to be nothing to this... thing.

Now something nagging at her attention. Eveel. She could feel that something was wrong with him. She could feel his scales prickling up against the skin of her neck. Eveel wasn't scared- if he ever was, he never showed it. There was something else.

"Stay away!" Eveel yelled, snapping his teeth at the intruder as warning. But at his current size his threat was almost laughable. Not to mention that his voice was high when he was this small. Many people had the decency to laugh at the dragon whenever this happen. Poor little fools.

"It does not matter how many of you there are." Takara stated as her hands rose until they were level with her chest. The temperature in the air began to change as heat arose from around her, along with wisps of wind that whipped around. "I will give you a chance to leave. If you do, perhaps I'll show you a little bit of mercy."

Eveel slid off of her shoulders, falling to the ground with a soft click. He growled, the sound becoming deeper and more menacing as his body grew. He stopped growling when he was just about two heads taller than Takara. His form was now circled around hers, his lips up as he continued to let out his warning. His wings were open just enough to spread out a little over the area, creating a shield. His claws were out, ready to tear, with his scales closed and sleek. His natural armor and weapons.

Karsasi had been unable to sleep, it was to early for her yet. As result, the knight ended up wandering the halls after having changed out of her training clothes. As it was dark in the halls with the sun setting and the wall sconces not giving out very much light, the woman kept her senses strained so as to not bump into anything. She had a fresh batch of bruises from the forementioned training, and she had no desire to make them any worse.

Perhaps it was this, and only this, that brought the silence in the hall outside of the Kings and Queens chamber rooms to her attention. In itself, silence was not an unusual thing here, as both Queen Takara and King Tamuril were more than capable of defending themselves. Indeed, if there ever were any guards outside of their doors, it was mearl as a formality. No, it was the type of silence that made the knight take notice. It had a strange feeling to it, one of someting that was out of place, and yet Karasi could not place what. Furrowing her brow, the short warrior slowed her pace, listening even harder than she had been before.

It was then that she noticed that it was not only the lack of sound, but the feeling in the air. It held the same wrong feeling as the silence, somthing that made her hair raise on her arms and the back of her neck. This feeling grew stronger as she reached the door of the Royal Couples bedchambers. Here she stopped and stared at the door. A part of her urged her to knock on the door and check if everything was all right, yet another told her to leave things be, that if the King or Queen were in there, they could take care of themselves. So for a moment, the woman stood there, staring at the door.

Finally, the knight in her won over the rest of her. It did not matter if their Majesties could defend themselves or not, she was trained to do anything she could to make sure that they did not need to. And so Karasi raised her fist and rapped at the door, just loud enough to be heard if anyone inside were awake, but not loud enough to wake them if they were not.

[Oh well.]

Alfo grinned. "Fool." The tips of his wings unveiled a deadly spike, some sort of liquid dripping from it's razor sharp edge. His wings, like rubber, bent towards Lind and her creature. He didn't even care about his skin being punctured, his attack would be far more devastating if it hit, even slightly. His venom would enter their blood and eventually render them useless. And just like a scorpion attacking the tips of his wings bent more and shot forwards, aimed for her heart and left lung.

The dragon stared on, not flinching at all. Her offer for his retreat came many times and slowly began to annoy him. "To kill you would be quite satisfactory, even if I did not acquire said diamond." The dragon responded, his voice monotone to match hers. His eyes peered into Takara's, a complete sense of assurity present. No weapons, and only her magic to aid her. And Eveel.

The Dragon then looked at Eveel. The same species as him, but what was he doing? Especially staying in such a disgraceful form. It hardly got any bigger when he grew to. "Disgrace. Can you not even harbor your true form? I'm disappointed." the Dragon said to Eveel. if he stayed like this the Dragon would be little more challenging than a child.

The Dragon raised his right hand to in front of him. His index and middle finger stood out straight while the others folded down. A small glimmer of light began to form in his hand. Emitting from the light was the sound electricity made.

"Shock."

He jerked his hand towards Eveel and the light shot forwards with incredible speed. In his current form, the powerful attack would easily pierce his armor and cause substantial damage within. Granted, it would stop it from reaching Takara.

[Basically, each Dragon has a sort of "true" form. Example's are Jax and Alfo. I'll leave the detail of their appearance and abilities to you guys.

And what I intended to do, Myth, was have the Dragon's Shock attack be a catalyst for Eveel to change. Sort of inflicting that damage, blah blah blah, enter stronger Eveel. Catch my drift?

Shader, I'll also have control over Calo when I first introduce him, which will be very soon.]

Lind didn't even have time to gasp, he was moving too quickly, those spikes undoubtedly had more to them than just sharp looks.

A pair of yells echoed in her head as Wasp's right wing came to block the spikes from hitting Lind in the chest. Wasp was forced to let go of the joint of Alfo's wings, the stining pain of the posison had caused her to double over with pain. Lind had to move her hands away as well with Wasp's weight pulling her down. She at least dragged her fingers out. She wouldn't let go so easily.

"Wasp?!" Lind asked nervously as she landed on her feet. Wasp was still bent over, her mouth open in a scream Lind could alone hear. The girl was undoubtedly worried, Wasp was her foremost fighter for things like this, and she wasn't sure how she could contend without her.

"Can you fight?"

To her surprise, Wasp looked at her with the same eager, toothy grin as before. Her wing straightened out, but still quivered slightly.

"A fool would have given up already."

Takara merely frowned in response to his words. Otherwise, there was no other change of expression on her face. Eveel released a growl, his scales quivering. That was odd. Takara did not move her eyes but instead sensed what was happening through the air. Eveel had never done that before. Her eyebrows twitched, though her eyes remained locked on the foe that was before her. What kind of a being was he? And what was he saying about Eveel? It was quite interesting. This being knew something about Eveel- unless this thing was merely lying. Still, the movements that were coming from Eveel were strange. There was... a reaction. What did it mean?

Then she felt something.... She wasn't exactly sure what.

Then there was magic. Her eyes lowered as she noticed something glowing in the being's hand. The wind began to shift as she summoned it, but she felt herself suddenly being picked up off of the ground.

"Eveel! What are you doing?" Takara yelled as she was being dragged up into the air, held by Eveel's giant paw. Jagged light shot out at the place where she had been last. Still, they were in the air. Eveel's flying was out of control. "Eveel! Eveel!"

Then they fell. Down in the garden that Takara often spent her free time in. Eveel barely managed to slow them down before they crashed. It took Takara a few seconds to be able to pull herself out of the daze. Her head was pounding, but she still managed to raise it to look at Eveel who was writhing on the ground. She blinked and pushed herself up off of the ground to sit up.

"Eveel..." she whispered underneath her breath, emotions playing across her face. He was... his appearance was changing. Things were breaking as his body tore around the garden, ripping everything up out of the ground. The queen began to move herself out of the way. Even if Eveel loved her dearly, she knew that at the moment he could accidentally hurt her.

But it was too late. She felt something make impact with her body, her mind briefly guessing that it was Eveel's tail before she hit something. A few moments of blurred vision was all that she was granted before everything turned dark.

Alfo landed on his feet, the dust and dirt on the ground spreading away from where he would land. His eyes peered over at the woman and her companion. They were still going to fight? Why? She had nothing to gain from fighting but everything to lose. "Why would you fight this meaningless battle with the knowledge that you can not win? Interesting." Alfo sounded as if he was studying the woman, her actions specifically.

"Humans are neanderthal."
PostPosted: Wed Sep 12, 2007 2:38 pm

"Because I really have nothing to lose." Lind replied, "You think I can just sit back and let the pair of you beat up on a person on his own? I may not have much, but I have morals. I couldn't sit back and watch it happen. She'd never let me." She added, pointing to Wasp with her thumb.

"Call me whatever you want, but you'll have to rip me apart to stop me... but, if you leave, I won't follow. Just leave and be gone form this place. The last thing this world needs is more carnage..."
