Rakhsh nodded slightly. It was nice to hear that Aziraphale thought he was doing good. He knew that his had the best intentions, but sometimes he wondered it what he was doing would really help. So it was nice to hear somebody appreciated what he did. Even if he didn't know the whole story...
"Indeed, there is. I find it very troubling. I don't know why there are so many who have a desire to do evil, but their number is growing."
He sighed and looked towards the ducks, but his gaze was out of focus as he pondered the current situation of the world. Aziraphale was right. There was much amiss in the world today, and it was Rakhsh's job to do his best to end it.

"Lately I've noticed more that the lines between Good and Evil seem to be... Blurring. Things aren't always as they seem and I can't help but wonder if that isn't party of the Plan." Afterall... Things didn't happen if they weren't part of the plan. The Great Spirits always had things in mind; they had since the begining.
"I suppose that all we can do is our very best Good in hopes that it will make a difference. No, not in hopes... I know it makes a difference." It was, afterall, why he continued to do this 'Good'... And why he was always trying to convince Crowley to do the same even if it was inevitable that he wouldn't.

Rakhsh nodded.
"Yes, the lines are blurring lately. All of it saddens me, but also reminds me that I am here for a reason and that I must always be on my guard."
When Aziraphale mentioned a 'Plan', Rakhsh tilted his head to the side a bit.
"The 'Plan'? I am unfamiliar with this. What do you mean?"
Rakhsh had already discovered that Aziraphale's gods were different from his, so maybe this was another one of the differences/

"The Plan revolves around the belief that everything happens for a reason; generally because it is supposed to... Even if, at the time, you aren't all that certain that it is." It was complicated, as far as he was concerned and, often, little more than a lot of rubbish... But that didn't mean he believed in it any less. No, it was something that he had to believe in.

Rakhsh nodded as he took this in. It sounded like a bit of a weak belief. He had heard others speak of a similar concept, where they believe that the world and their destiny were already planned out for them. But he had never believed in anything like that.
"I see. It is an interesting concept. I have always believed that we each make our own destinies, myself. But it is good that you have something you strongly believe in. It is good for your soul. It gives you a purpose."
He nodded sagely and looked at Aziraphale.

"Oh, I can agree that we make our own choices and we pick our own paths... But who is to say that those paths that we pick are not those that we were meant to?" His brow lofted slightly. "It is something to think on, is it not? Even if it does not match your own beliefs..." He chuckled softly.

Rakhsh nodded. Indeed it was something to think about. And he had many times when he was younger and was coming to terms with his mission.
"I have thought on it myself. But I have come to believe that, even though my gods have set a quest of some sorts for me, it is completely up to me to accept it. Though I must face the consequences if I don't, both here on Earth, and in the Afterlife."

He nodded slowly, a soft smile curving the corners of his mouth. "I can agree to that."
Having said that he closed his eyes for a moment, taking in the peaceful situation at hand... The pond, the ducks, the good conversation. "I do believe that today was a matter of being in the right place at the right time."

Rakhsh smiled as well and looked around, taking a deep breath and feeling the cool fresh air flow through his nostrils.
"I agree. Fate seems to have smiled upon the two of us today. Fate, or something else, whatever one chooses to believe, I suppose."
He chuckled a bit. They were both very devout in their beliefs, but were also open to those of the other. It was nice to have a conversation about life and not have somebody bad-mouthing your own way of life.

He took a deep breath of his own, releasing it slowly before turning to look at the other stallion. "I believe that now would be a good time for me to depart... I have been waiting for the right mood to come along for me to seek out an old friend... And I doubt my mood will get any better than it is at this moment."

Rakhsh smiled and nodded his head lightly.
"Well, it was very nice to meet you, Aziraphale. I hope that our paths may cross again in the future."
He smiled again, looking at the ducks in the pond, and decided to remain here for a while, even after his company left.
