Damien turned and looked at Misheru and said. "They may not be suffering physically but there is no doubt they're suffering mentally just like we are." He turned to look back toward Aeyce wondering what his parents were doing. He then turned his attention back to Misheru and said. "Why did you show yourelf? I thought the Dryads and humans were supposed to remain separate."

"I would rather think their suffering to be emotional more than mental but as you say. As to your question...hmm. Yes the Elder Tree has strickly decreed that interaction with humans is fordiben. However since the last time I defied it was many decades ago I though a little rebelion most overdue." she smiled misgeviously though not in any evil manner, more the smile of one who knew how to enjoy herself. "Would you rather I not speak with you?" she asked with raised eye brows

Damien looked at her and said. "It's probably both mental and emotional. The feeling of isolation and seclusion from others is a very powerful force indeed. I'd rather you did speak with me then not. I just wish I could understand why you're elder thinks all of this is necessary." He turned his attention back to the camp and then back again to the forest.

"hmm... i think it doesn't know how to accept the idea that we share some of the blame for the actions of the villagers against us. To do so would require its' aquiesing to the nessesity of communicating with humans amoung other things and he does not know how to change such old engrained views." looks at him consideringly and adds, "If you wish I will relay a verbal message to your parent for you Damien Kuro."

Brygid is fluttering at the edge of where the fire had been, the ground was black and still smoking. Tears welled into her eyes when she studied the area, at least a mile had been engulfed in the flames. Brygid flutters over to a charred tree where a family of squirrels had lived, she peeked inside the hole and saw the blackened corpses of the animals. Tears flowed freely from her eyes, the grounds were scorched black, many tree's had been destroyed or badly damage. She flutters over to the Elder, the last tree to have been damaged before her sisters had, had enough of the humans selfishness, the Elders roots had been burned, Brygid wraps her arms around the Elder I am so sorry she wept openly on the Elders trunk Some of our sisters are siding with the humans, they are saying the humans do not know better, and we need to teach them Brygid looked about at the decimation the fire had caused An animal knows that fire is bad and to stay away, and since humans are supposed to be at the top of the intelligence list of mammals, I find this hard to believe.I think these sisters have let their libido get in the way of whats best for us and the woods Brygid rested her head against the Elder, it began to rain inside the woods, Brygid welcomed the cooling sensation upon her face and body.

Damien smiled at Misheru and said. "I appreciate the offer but no thanks. You best get back to the other dryads. I don't want you getting in trouble for talking to me." He turned around and headed back to the camp. He sat back down at the fire and looked back up at the sky. He laid down on his back and thought to himself. 'I just wish we had some idea about what to do...'

Slightly suprised at his decling to communicate with his family and amused at his galant concern for her getting in trouble she watched him walk away from her. 'several generations seperate them yet the genetic resemblance is remarkable' She stayed where she was for a time resting her hand on the barrier and contemplating the condition of things all around.

Kira sat down next to Damien Hi there, Damien is it? I'm Kira, have you heard any word from the others that went to Sundale? Its been such a long time since they have been gone, you would think someone would have been back by now Kira stared into the fire. I can not believe that fire got so out of hand, and they threw alcohol on it...idiots, in a way I don't blame the tree people from throwing us out, but it still seems a bit harsh to lock us out of our town. If they would just talk to us, we could make a mends, maybe help replant and grow what was destroyed.

Damien looked down at Kira and said. "Yes, that is correct. Pleased to meet you Kira. I'm afraid I haven't heard any news from the people who went to Sundale. I wish we could return Aeyce is my home and no doubt my parents are worried. I can't really say I blame the dryads for what they've done either. One of them actually revealed herself to me while I was over by the barrier. They say it's because the people of the village aren't suffering physically." Damien looked into the fire as well and then said. "I don't understand why the townspeople did what they did. To put alcohol on a fire is like salt on an opened wound."

Kira nods her head Yes I very much agree, Damien, you said one came to talk to you? Maybe it could help us? We can not very well stay out here forever

When you cry we cry, you have always been loyal to the woods, you have never disobeyed us Brygid looked up at the Elder, the rain was hitting her eyes, she lowered her head to avoid anymore water spattering into her pupils, but the rain stopped as quickly as it had come. Brygid sits at the base of the Elder The humans will not let us be, they are selfish and believe everything belongs to them, you, little one, must lead the others to cut down anything that the humans throw at us, protect the woods and us as we have done for you for so very long

Brygid draws her knee's to her chest, and looks at the Elder intently What of our sisters that refuse to help with our cause?

The Elder lowers a branch and tilts Brygids face up toward it Leave the rebellious ones up to us

Brygid grins widely and smiles up at the Elder with adoration.

Damien looked over at Kira again and said. "You're right. We have to do something we can't just stay here. Who knows she may very well be able to help us. Considering she'd ever show herself again. I'd say it's more then worth a try. I will go back to the barrier tomorrow and see if she reveals herself again. Do you care to join me?" Damien looked back into the fire and was thinking about the bonfire that the townspeople had let get so out of hand.

Kira nods her head and smiles Yes I would like to go with you, I need something to do, besides I want to apologize to it and its people Kira looks about her at the group of people with them. They were all young At least no elderly people where tossed out like that, would imagine it would have broken some of their bones. Kira continued to study them, some where still intoxicated and the exhile had not fully hit them, yet. We have to do something, where the hell are the guys who went to Sundale? They are taking too long getting back here

Damien looked in the direction of Sundale and then back at Kira and said. "I don't know. You don't think they chose to forget about Aeyce do you? I'd hate to think that they would do that but it's very much a possibility. I'll come find you tomorrow when I'm ready to go the barrier. I wonder what the others have in mind though. I've heard rumors that they are going to collaborate with demons to try and break the barrier." Damien grimaced slightly at the idea. He wanted to return home but not if it meant relying on demons to do it.

When Misheru awoke the next morning it was to the same agitated and restless spirit which had permiated so much of the forest since the fire. 'Not the most comfortable of places to be.' Soothing the greenery around her as best as she could and thanking the tree she had slept in for the protection of it's brougths she wandered around and found herself drawn to the barrier once more. She was curious to see how late the Humans would sleep in when most of their beds were on the ground.
