"Yo kid, chill. You need to get cleaned up." The other hand grabbed on to Harper and pulled him from the fire. The man was tall, with dark brown hair and even darker eyes. His mode of dress was just as odd as Ashers, but his was slightly more modern. Late 19th century or so.
"Oi. Not another one," Irelia sighed dramatically.
She struggled out of the man's grip. And turned to Harper, his words finally registering.
"Aww, you care." Irelia, being free, while Harper was not, was relishing her opportunity.
She drew one arm back and hugged him.
Probably hard enough to make bones break but she was at least TRYING to make friends.
Unfortunately, she was also infected with the same cooties as Jace.

"LET GO!" Harper yelled again, glaring at the man who grabbed him. He was seriously getting ticked that despite having grown adults still seemed to think they could just wave him around whenever they pleased.
His glare was sidetracked to Irelia, to whom he quickly screamed in horror and tried to push away, "What are you doing!?!" He yelled indignantly, "LET ME GO NOW!" He demanded, pathetically curling every limb on his body to try and keep away from all the cooties and freaks.

The man let go of Harper promptly but kept an eye on the two of them. They looked prone to bolting and already the girl had a "watch out" and a "fighting" mark by her name on his board.
Shaking his head, he pried the girl off the boy, and put his hand lightly on both of their shoulders.
"I'm Clavis, I'm in charge of you this weekend. Hopefully, we'll have a nice, fun-filled weekend together!"
Irelia turned to look at Harper, wriggling her eyebrows.
Seriously, they needed to ditch this guy.

"In charge of me?" Harper echoed, eyebrows arched. The rest of him was still quite tense by the constant cootie exposure, however. "Sucks to be you!" He examined, snorting at Clavis. "Yo. Let go." He commanded in his coolest voice, trying to wave Clavis' hand off him.
He looked back at Irelia only in time to catch her eyebrow wiggle, the motion something so beyond confusing for him he had no idea if she was about to attack him again, by violence or affection, or if she was trying to prompt him for some dual attack on their new camp 'master.' He decided, for his own sake, it was the later, so when he thought she was ready he moved to push Clavis away from them.

Irelia breathed a sigh of relief. Her strange movements did in fact seem to get Harper involved.
Irelia opened her mouth and chomped down on Clavis' hand with her sharp teeth.
"NYAAAGGJJJHH," she screamed, and kicked him in the shins.
Irelia was really good at kicking things in the shins.

Harper snorted and grinned triumphantly, "I guess your better on my side." He probably spoke too soon.
The only question at that point was what to do next - was there just nature around them, or would running off in a random direction through the trees end up landing them into more trouble with consolers?
Probably wasn't too much time for deciding. Harper took off in the most tree-filled looking direction.

Irelia followed Harper, thinking that whatever plan he had was better than hers, because here in this rugged place, Irelia was totally out of her element.
Clavis stuck his hand in his mouth, wincing as he noticed that it was bleeding.
"Damn crazy mutant kids," Clavis muttered and turned to walk in the direction that the kids had ran.

Surrounded by trees, Harper thought it would be easy to loose the freaky Clavis dude. He dodged behind some trees before finding a relatively 'stooped' tree that would be easy to practically run up, none the less climb, so he jumped on it and began making his way up.
It was then he remembered his partner in crime and looked back for her, panicked and wondering if Clavis had caught her; when he thought he saw her, he beckoned her to hide in a tree with him.

"YES!" Irelia shrieked, seeing the tree. Taki and her climbed LOTS when they were at home.
Irelia ran up the tree, and sat beside Harper.
"Can we throw something at him if he comes? Namely, something gross."

"It would be better to try and be quiet if he comes so he goes away, throwing things might just.." Harper blinked a few times.
With that extraordinary luck that only happens in movies and fairytails, he pointed higher up the tree where a bee hive hung peacefully off the branch.
He grinned at Irelia and nodded, giving her hooves a skeptical look. "You can climb with those? Oh, never mind it.. find a long branch we can pull off, we can push it on his head!"

Irelia stuck her tongue out at Harper.
"Of course I can climb up! I'm half sheep... sheep can climb up mountains and stuff."
Irelia walked behind Harper and grabbed a long branch.
"I think I can see that stupid man coming!" Irelia readied her branch.
"Tell me when you see him."
Clavis was indeed catching up to them and he was muttering under his breath.
"Damn kids. Damn assignment. Damn Ebony."

Harper blinked, "Oh yeah?" His voice hushed to a whisper, "Well I can do this!" He exclaimed, obviously a bit sidetracked. He stood up and towed down a rather thin branch, one that could only questionably hold the weight of the boy, and using his 'expert' (okay, not that great, but pretty good!) balance he crept along.
Then he stuck his tongue out back at her and noticed Clavis was in position. "Go!" He yelled, just as his branch finally gave way.

Irelia watched Harper with wide eyes. Irelia had no balance whatsoever and to see someone do something like that was extremely impressive to her.
"Wow, that's cool!" Irelia was going to compliment him a bit more, when he told her that Clavis was in position. Irelia swung her branch, hitting the hive squarely with her branch. What she hadn't counted on was the fact that perhaps some of the bees might be a tad miffed at them for breaking their home.
"AGGHHHH!!!" Irelia yelled, the bees flying at her her arms flailing in the air.
Clavis heard Irelia's scream, and looked up just in time to step out of the way of a falling hive.
Bees were buzzing all around Clavis, but his attention was on the kids.
The branches were breaking.

Apparently peril followed both kids around; Harper ended up dangling by a half broken branch, one which was threatening to give out completely at any second, clutching to it for dear life. He was only about ten feet in the air at that point, though, so the smarter thing would of probably been for him to let go especially as the bees started swarming.
"Heeelp!" He declared, not registering that she probably needed more help than him at that point. "Irelia don't let hem sting you!"
...Can you say 'duh'?
Eventually Harper's grip slipped enough that he began slinking down the broken branch like some deranged fireman going down a very scratchy pole. When he got to the floor, not one to be hindered by any acquired scrapes and bruises, he motioned for Irelia, "Run down!"

Bees were everywhere, swarming all around Irelia's face. By some stroke of luck, none of them had been able to sting her yet but her luck was running out. Screaming, Irelia ran down the tree at Harper's prompting, and ran behind Clavis, who was watching the scene with bemusement.
"Save us, save ussssss."
Clavis looked down at the girl, and seemed to ponder the question, scratching his chin.
"Well, I dunno, you really hurt me," Clavis held out his hand, and screamed. Irelia screamed as well.
"AHHHHHHHHHH! YOU'RE MISSING A FINGER. I ATE ITTTTT."
