"Yes, let's. She should be around my current den-proper, which is the little scrape again." Uri moved his main home within his land about. It kept the local prey on it's toes and was more interesting. The scrap as a dip in the land, which was roofed by long grass. A simple, airy place. Not ideal to sleep in but shady and comfortable during the hot day.
"You know the way." He smiled and made ready to walk alongside his friend as always. Ha! They had such news to share...cubs...really it was hard to believe...

Chuakari wasn't entirely comfortable staying in the coalition lands, but she certainly wasn't having any trouble knowing that this was where Uri lived- and had found that there wasn't a great deal of activity in the area. Kari may have out grown the constant concern about what other's thought, but it was always there in the back of her mind- especially where the cheetahs here were concerned. Since being left at Uri's home, Kari and Mhuni had made themselves comfortable and drifted off to sleep, curled up together.

Dimu walked besides Uri as they headed to his small little makeshift den. The Lioness normally liked to sleep in tree's, or in small abandoned alcoves or caves. Especially now. She was more vulnerable now and wasn't as powerful or swift with the extra weight in her belly. She peeked in to see the pink cheetah and her son. She smiled at the pair then turned to Uri as if asking if they should wait to bother them?

He smiled back at her, and checked indirectly at the position of the sun - didn't want to harm his eyes of course but it was the best way to judge the time out here. Figuring they'd had a while to rest Uri padded down into the scrap to nudge Kari's shoulder gently with his forehead.
"Wake up, sweet heart. Important news."

Kari started out of her sleep, first looking to Uri and then to Mhuni when she realized it wasn't anything threatening. It didn't look like she'd woken up her son, and when that was settled she looked back to Uri. It was then that she caught sight of the lioness he had brought back with him, and smiled a little.
"What's going on?" she asked quietly, always smiling and carefully pulling herself free of the sleeping cub and getting to her feet.

Dimu walked over to stand near the cheetah's, watching the sleeping cheeton snuggled up to Kari. Dimu then smiled at the pink cheetah and introduced herself. "You must be Kari. Uri's told me alot about you, I'm Dimu." If Kari wanted to know her full name, Dimu would give it, but this was a friend of Uri's, so she decided not to bore her with her long name, as pretty as others sadit it was, she was Dimu, not 'M'Dimu Chanua'. "You're son.. is he a hybred?"

Uri sat down, wrapped his tail about him and glanced across the bit of grassland that was 'his'. He kept one ear on the ladies talk, but it was important to scope things out every now and then. Last thing he wanted was a visit now, be it from fellow Duma cats or hyenas and the like he was supposed to be looking out for. All he was looking out for was his familiy.
Maybe it was starting to be...a hinderence to live here. The captain would wonder of he had cubs staying with him at times. His fellow patrollers had probably noticed by now at least one lioness walked his territory unchecked. If anything hurt one of his girls or the boy...

Kari glanced from Dimu to Uri, who didn't look like he was about to explain what the important news was, and back to Dimu again. She searched her memory for any mention of the lioness, but couldn't come recall for certain if Uri had ever spoken of her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Dimu," she answered politely, and when asked about her son, she looked over to him.
"Yes, I suppose that's the word for it," she answered with a nod and looked back to Dimu, "His father is a lion, if that's what you mean."

Dimu nodded and looked to Uri as he scanned his territory. Then then turned back to Kari. "Uri's new's is that he's going to be a father." She said with her kind smile. "I found out a while ago I was pregnant, and it couldn't be by anyone but him." She explaiend, knowing that Kari might be confused if a lioness was telling Kari that Uri was a father, and there was a lack of a female cheetah which Uri was swooning over.

Certain the coast was clear, Uri turn on a grin and turned back to the girls. It was so odd to hear Dimu say he was going to be a father still. A father. Him. A father. Someone's dad. Properly. Not just someone who watched from afar but a proper father.
"We're best friends, but we ended a relationship just a few short weeks ago...Dimu just told me about the cubs. Such odd timing, since you're visiting Kar."

Kari didn't need to be told that it was Dimu who was pregnant after she said Uri was going to be a father, she could easily put together the questions about her son and how she had appeared so suddenly with Uri to announce the news. Her smile widened, and her eyes immediately shot to Uri- who she was happy to see was smiling as well.
"That's wonderful, congratulations!" she beamed, also amazed at the timing of this news. She couldn't have picked a better day to arrive, it seemed.

Dimu smiled at Uri then turned her eyes back on Kari, "I was thinking when the cubs are born, I could aqquaint them with yours." Dimu would want the cubs to meet other cheetons, as well as meet cheetah's and lions. Dimu wanted them to grow up learnign both sides of their heritage.

"Since, you're like a daughter to me Kari - though I've hardly been a great father figure - our cubs will be aunts and uncles to yours I suppose." He chuckled, amused. If he did leave the Duma'bara he'd have to visit Kari's family when Dimu and the cubs did. He wanted to see that daydream from earlier in reality. "Your much younger 'siblings' but not really."

"I'm sure they'd all love to meet them, and the both of you," Kari answered brightly, "My eldest son- he's named after you, you know." She shot a smile at Uri, sure she hadn't mentioned all the names of her cubs yet- especially Taf's. The idea of all of them being together made Kari very happy, everything seemed only to get more and more delightful since meeting Hasidi.

"I'd also love to meet them. I never would have thought such little lovelies could be created..." She said watching the sleeping cub again. He didn't much look like a cheetah, save the tuft of fur that was cheetah like in the way is was similar to a cheetah's mane, but his mother didn't have spots either. Dimu wondered would the little Cheetons would look like as adults. It would be wonderful to watch the lovelies grow, no doubt.
