{{ Sorry. sweatdrop }}

Lilly sighed and heaved her things onto the train. She set them in one of the compartments before going back out to say good bye to the rest of her family. " I'll be back this summer and I'll be an official witch. Fully qualified to use magic outside of school. We won't have to worry about cleaning the house anymore!!" Lilly said as she hugged her parents. Petunia sniffed as if the matter was below her. Lilly rolled her eyes. " Don't think being 'fully qualifed' and all that doesn't make you a freak." she hissed when their parents had their backs turned. Lilly glared at her before getting onto the train and heading back to the compartment where she had left her things.

[color-red]Tifanni smiled. She had heard about this school and now she was finally getting to go!! " Bye mom and dad. I'll see you guys during the holidays, okay?" she said. Her mom looked worried, but her dad couldn't have looked more proud of her. " Are you sure you want to go here? We could always go back to the states and you could go to Salem with your friends..." her mother said. Tiff rolled her eyes. " Mom, this is one of the greatest wizarding schools of all time. I want to go. I'll make some friends and I'll be fine. You'll see. I love you. See you at Christmas!!" She got on the train and went slowly down the corridors. She sighed and opened the door to the compartment Lilly was in. " Do you mind if I sit in here? There's nowhere else she said politely. Lilly shook her head to show she didn't and Tifanni put her things away and sat down across from her. This girl was obviously a seventh year. That was slightly intimidating...

((It's alright))

Tori and Karei walked onto Platform 9 3/4. "Final year..." said Karei with remorse. "You said it sis." replied Tori as they shoved their trunks onto the baggage cart. They walked onto the train and picked a random compartment. "Hey Lils" said Tori as she poked her head in. "and..." she squinted. "Do I know you?"

((Holy crap, we started already?! O_o Where was I when this happened? Oh, well, I'm here now. >>))

Morgaine grinned from ear to ear as she walked onto Platform 9 3/4. Behind her, her family walked through as well. As usual, her mother was amazed at everything: the world her daughter had told her so much about, but she rarely glimpsed herself. She often pointed out some of the more unusual occurrences in a loud voice, causing her husband and daughter both to hush her gently. This time was no different. Elisabeth Edwards quickly grabbed her daughter's shoulder and said excitedly, "Morgaine, Morgaine, look what that boy is doing!"

Not even bothering to see what it was that had caused her mother excitement (probably one of Potter's lot showing off, Morgaine thought disdainfully), Morgaine quickly hushed her mother. "Yes, I see, Mother, but please keep your voice down." she said gently. She loved her muggle mother, but the fact that she was a fantasy novelist had seemed to heighten, not diminish, her amazement at the magical world Morgaine and her father lived in.

Morgaine's white cat, Vanye, curled around Morgaine's ankles in a vain attempt to trip her and send her school trunk toppling. Morgaine, used to the cat's determined desire to assassinate her one day, sidestepped him easily.

"Promise you will write, won't you?" Her father asked, his gentle eyes worried. "And take care of yourself. No more scuffles with that Potter boy, okay?" Marcus Edwards was a gentle, idealistic man by nature, but he was a fierce Auror and constantly looked out for his only child.

"That Potter boy," Morgaine said fiercely, "deserved what I gave him. Picking on Snape again, that bloody jerk." Ignoring her mother's gasp, ("Morgaine! Such language!") the tall girl stared her father down. If there was anyone she hated most in the world, it was James Potter, seconded only by his best friend, Sirius Black. She hated their arrogance, and that they used their abilities to pick on people, most notably Severus Snape. She didn't like Severus much as a person, but she could feel some sympathy for him, being on the receiving end of James's cruelty so many times.

Her father sighed. His daughter's urge to carry out justice wherever she knew it was needed was a great attribute. Winding up in detention for fighting was not. "I just don't want a letter from the Headmaster or Professor McGonagall saying you're in detention for it again, alright?" he kissed his daughter on the forehead, even though she was almost as tall as he was.

Morgaine sighed, and hugged her father. "I promise. And now I really have to go. Love you, father, mother!" she called, hugging her mother and darting off, Vanye following at her heels.

"Love you, Morgaine!" They called back.

Morgaine boarded the train and immediately went to get her prefect assignments. Once that was over, trunk still in hand, she doggedly began to look for her friends. She was pretty late on, and she only hoped they already had a compartment filled. She looked up and down the train, not finding them together, as she had hoped. She finally admitted defeat, and found the nearest compartment that wasn't completely crowded. She glimpsed in, finding a redheaded upperclassman, a dark haired girl that might of have been one of the Ravenclaw beaters (she wasn't much interested in the game herself, but she had a Ravenclaw friend who sometimes talked about the twins), and a smaller blonde girl who looked a tad bit nervous.

This'll have to do, she thought, setting her trunk away and opening the door. "Mind if I sit with you lot?" she asked, not unkindly. ((OOC: I'm going to assume they said yes and let her in, okay? If the mod doesn't like it, I can change it.))

She sat down and looked around, eyes falling on the dark-haired girl. "You wouldn't happen to be on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, would you?" she asked. It wasn't like she was interested in the game; she just wanted to know if this was the girl she thought she was. "Uh...Karei? Or Tori?" she pulled the names out of her memory with a bit of difficulty.

Atra walked through the barrier with her mother and father trailing along behind her, muttering about muggles and Mudbloods, presumably blaming them for all the world's problems. As usual, she ignored them. They did this every year, cursing 'those loathsome creatures' and everything associated with them.
Morsmordre
Really, she thought, as she kissed her mum and hugged her dad, I'm already of age, do they really need to insist on bringing me here every year? I can manage perfectly fine by myself.

As she hoisted her trunk onto the train, she looked back to the place where her parents were standing, heads bent together, no doubt still loathing the nonmagical community. She got a half-hearted wave from her mother before she was once again invisible. To them, anyway. Actually, they don't care about me enough to come for me. They do it to poke fun at the Muggles.

Shaking her head, Atra lugged her things down the corridor, searching for a seat. It was quite late, and most of the compartments were full. Finally, she reached one that wasn't quite filled to capacity, and stuck her head in, "Hey, do you lot mind if I - "

Her face fell briefly as she realized who was in the compartment. Gryffindors and Ravenclaws. Worse yet, one of them was a muggleborn. She mentally sighed before composing her face into the typical Slytherin scowl. "Oh, nevermind. I didn't realize that this compartment was filled with such rubbish." With that, she slammed the door and continued down the corridor, nose held aloft. Really, keeping up the typical stereotypes can be such a bother sometimes...

Before Morgaine could get her answer from the Ravenclaw, a pale girl opened the compartment door. About to welcome the new girl in, Morgaine froze at the stranger's next words.

"Oh, nevermind. I didn't realize that this compartment was filled with such rubbish."

Instantly, Morgaine stood up to her full height with an audible snarl, and opened the compartment door so hard the glass shook. She stepped partially out of it and shouted down the corridor, "You want rubbish, look in the mirror, sometime, you bloody git!" With that, still fuming, Morgaine stood there a minute longer, but the girl was already gone, so she stepped back inside, shoved the door closed with just as much force, and sat down heavily. It was only once she was seated again did she realize her fingers were closed tightly around her wand in her pocket.

Sighing, she released her grip on the weapon. I promised father I wouldn't be fighting so much. I have to keep that promise. That girl was just some prejudiced git--probably a Slytherin, the way she talked. Not like Potter and his lot are any better. But she couldn't help thinking that James might have just backed her up in what had just happened.

Morgaine took a tremendous effort to regain composure, and she looked around at the girls in the compartment with her. "I'm sorry--" she said tersely. "She just--I can't stand people like that..." Morgaine finished lamely.

Tori burst into laughter while Karei shook her head. "No problem mate." Tori choked out. "If you hadn't I might've hexed her. And yeah, we're the beaters."

Tifanni shook her head. " No and I don't think I know you either... My name's Tifanni Wheeler. This is actually technically my first year here. I've been going to a school in Salem, Oregon in the States for the last three years. So, who are you guys?" she said. Man, this place was so confusing!!.

Lilly smiled. " So, you're from the states, huh? You look more like you could be part veela!!" she said. That would explain the absence of her accent. She smiled again at Tiff's blank look. " Veelas; there actually from Bulgaria, but they have hair just like your's... and eyes, too. You sure you aren't part veela?"

Morgaine's tenseness left her instantly. She grinned, and laughed a bit; glad that Tori and Karei at least didn't think she was a loon. Morgaine's fierce temper and desire for justice at her own hand had sometimes left the people around her scared or affronted.

The next thing she realized was that she had yet to introduce herself to the other people in her compartment. "I'm Morgaine," she said, in a general greeting to everyone. "Um...I'm a sixth year Gryffindor." She wasn't really good with introductions. Usually a simple, 'I'm Morgaine' was all she needed. However, she felt like she owed the other girls a little better than that.

She looked at the smaller girl, probably the youngest in here, with interest. She could see why the redhead had commented on Tifanni being part veela. The girl looked the part. However, that was not her chief point if interest. She had not known transfers were possible between magical schools.

"You're from the United States? I didn't know you could transfer over." Morgaine asked, voicing her interest openly. "What's it like over there?"

Karei shook her head and turned to the oung girl. "Do you know where your parents are from?"

After his "grandparents" - as they were so often mistakenly referred to by the Hogwarts staff, much to his severe annoyance - saw him to the scarlet train and handed him the gold and scarlet badge he had nearly forgotten, James was now, trunk and broomstick in hand, wandering the corridors, looking for his friends. He passed by a compartment occupied by two girls he knew as Ravenclaw's Beaters - he'd played against them on many an occasion - a redheaded muggleborn he knew as the reason he'd mentally bookmarked that compartment's location, reminding himself to return to it after he found Sirius, Remus, and Peter, as well as someone he did not know in the slightest.

Tori turned around and saw James pass by. He was more likely than not looking for his friends. She nudged Karei. "He's captain again if I recall." Karei laughed and nodded. He was pretty good.
