I graduated in '07 and I'm currently in my 2nd semester at BYU-Idaho. I thought it would be so hard to leave my hometown of 18 years and all my friends behind, but it really wasn't, one I got here. I still talk to my friends, although not nearly as often as I used to. But I have so many new friends here, including one of my roommates, so things are geat.
College isn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Okay, so I've got a few hard classes this semester, but I knew that when I signed up for them I was getting myself into a lot of work. It's easy for me to live undera tight budget, so the livng on my own part is fine. I miss my family, but it's not a big, constant ache. I talk to them on the phone and email them, and I know they're happy that I'm growing up, and I'll get to see them when I go back for Summer. Rexburg has actually become my home now, and I found myself anxious to return here after Christmas.
For all you Seniors, don't worry so much. Things look enormous from afar, but once you start to live the college life, you'll find that you didn't have all that much to worry about after all.
If any of you have any questions about college life as Freshman, or about BYU-Idaho, please ask. I think it'd be fun to answer them. smile
