As Raeli followed the boy, he walked under the shade of a pillar. He stopped for a moment, feeling momentarily at home. His eyes closed to slits and he felt coolness wash over him. He could hear another girls voice, but it sounded far away, like it was at the other end of a huge tunnel. He felt tendrils of darkness crawling over him. He started to lose himself to it. The feeling was great... but terrifying. Raeli's eyes popped open and he had pitch black tentacles crawling over his body. He took a deep breath. This has got to be a dream... it's not real..., he thought. Nothing changed. He clenched his eyes shut. Go away!

Raeli opened his eyes and all the tendrils had disappeared. He took in a sharp breath and jumped away from from the shadow. He was surprised to find he was heavily breathing, and that there was was gray smoke rising from his skin, though it dissipated even as he watched it. The power he had felt... He looked sharply at the boy who seemed to know what was going on. "What the hell was that!?"

Looking at the trenchcoat clad man near the passage, Mara wondered to herself why he looked so smug.

"Well..." she started, "It's been nearly a year since I've been here, and that was... '06. That would make this 2007, if I'm not mistaken."

She began to feel a little nervous as she realized she wasn't entirely sure. The thing she remembered best was not remembering at all. Before she learned to control it, she would just wake up here. And once she did learn, her visits were so frequent that the times and realities seemed to blend and blur. She had no real memories from either though they always picked up where they had left off, granted time had surely passed. Finally collecting herself, she spoke again.

"Yeah, I can come and go as I please... Or at least I used to. This time, I don't know how or why I'm here. It's been a long time, and I stopped coming to this place when I realized no one else was here."

Pausing for a moment, she began to question her own sanity. Then looking into the man's eyes, she continued.

"I'm assuming that you can't just pop in, so how did you get here?"

Eyeing the the other two, the other young man struggling against his own energy, the young woman struggling against her own reason, her mind began to race. Obviously something was up, for she had never encountered anyone. Nor had she noticed the large passage that led to a world outside the room. There was a strange feeling that passed through her, and she had the sudden urge to see what was beyond this library of sorts.

Again, looking at the man in the trenchcoat she spoke, "There's something going down, and I want to be a part of it. I'll go with you, but I want an explaination."

Letting loose a small grin, Mara allowed herself to calm just a bit, her aura of blue finally settling into light whisps.

Aiella watched the boy and listened to him, not talking much because to her it all still resembled crazy talk. 'Right. The multiverse. What, am I on some Sci-fi channel series?' She thought to herself. She sighed. 'Well unfortunatly, it's not like I have much to but to believe him for now.

She looked at the boy that was as confused as she was. Something was obviously wrong with him. He was scared, she could feel it. She wasn't exactly sure how, but she could feel what he was feeling. It felt like a mixture of fear and pleasure. It was strange, even a little bit scary. She looked over to the newest arrival to this strange little group. She looked like she might tell her more about where ever she was. But now what was she talking about, as far as she could tell nothing was going down. "I couldn't tell you a thing." She said, facing the girl. "I couldn't even tell you the names of these two."

Mara looked the speaking girl over. Everyone in the room was suffering from some sort of confusion, herself included. She knew she wasn't crazy, but she had no way to confirm that to herself or anyone else. Realizing that she was still holding the book she had taken, she focused and let it gently float back down and into its place, her energy extending with it. She hadn't used any of her powers since she stopped coming, though they still felt like second nature. Looking back up at the girl, she smiled.

"My name is Mara. Mara Watson. And you are?"

"2005..." Mathias slumped down onto the floor. "Right...so time here moves twice as slow as time there." He sighed. "Explanation? Okay, how about this." He floated up using telekinesis, then pulled a book from the top shelf nearest the door. "Hold on...it's tricky to start to translate the runes...'When the time of the...'what's that word? Oh, right...'Final Portal's Opening starts and the two worlds merge, all the psions in the worlds will need to stop the...'Is that word embodiment or soul? Oh. I didn't see that little line there.' need to stop the embodiment of Time before reality is ripped apart.'" He grimiced, then floated back down, standing up and sighing. "It goes on to say that every psionic ability is in a group, and that the psions will need to defeat their embodiments, as a group, in order to find the embodiment of Time...Also, in order to find any embodiments we need a person who can Flip between the worlds, and Flip while in the in-between place at the heart of the portal. It looks like by defeating Time we can stabilize the Final Portal, which is supposedly in the same place as Time."

He looked at the boy, who seemed to have just had a little incounter with his Psi. "That was ths psi that holds this world together. It manifested itself in the form that is specifically formed for you. Who knows what powers you may have-" He broke of as a pack of shadow-like dogs came running through the open door. "Great! Just what I needed." He spun on the spot, lashing out with his hand and sending thousands of sparks around everyone to form a barrier. Then he gently touched two fingers together, eyes closed and meditating, as one of the creatures started screaming in pain, staying back while the others jumped against the barrier. Mathias could already feel it weakening. "I can't hold them back long!" He yelled to the people behind him. "Eliminate them or they'll kill us all!"

Without time to process what was happening, Mara reacted purely on instinct. Her blue whisps turned to a Hellish blaze of different shades of blue, as books began flying from their shelves. Some clashing with a sort of barrier, and others just squeaking by. She may of been caught off-guard, but she would do as the boy told her and fight.

Mathias was surprised but encouraged by the burst of psi; he redoubled his efforts on a sheild, confident that the others would defeat the dogs. As he did so, the hound he was mentally torturing finally lay still on the ground.

Eli jumped. He was startled to see the book he was readin had changed colour, and text.

He was sitting on his bed at home reading yet another fascinating book when all of a sudden he felt a slight jolt and his book changed. He looked up to see why and found he was not in his own room at all but a sort of library. When did he get here?

He looked around and saw that he was neither where he stated nor alone. A small group of people had gathered at the other side of the room. Not wanting to be rude he got up and walked, book still in hand, to the group and waited silently.

Name: Alyssa Fairbank

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Classification: Empathetic, telepathic, Flip

Active: None

Description: Alyssa is of approximately average height, standing at 5' 4", and average build. She has noticeably pale skin, and her straight black hair is styled in a slightly spiked pixie cut. Her eyes are brown. She suffers from asthma which, although it isn't serious enough to hospitalise her, does prevent her from excessive physical exertion. She has been known to black out after pushing herself too hard. Because she isn't able to exercise frequently, she doesn't have much physical strength.
She is shy and has learnt to keep her own counsel on many matters over the years, making her disinclined to seek assistance unless she absolutely must. She doesn't like relying on others, although her physical condition and psionics make this almost an imperative, or at least a necessity.

Psi type: A faint white mist curling around her body.

Physical/Mental/Magical: 5/15/10

"Unlike me, unlike me... Do you think I'm strange?"
+++

Alyssa heard a door slam some way behind her as she ran down the empty corridor and a smile of grim satisfaction found its way onto her face even as she panted for breath. Good. Maybe this time...

She kept running, even though the tightness in her chest and the spots intruding more and more frequently on the edges of her vision told her she should stop. Her feet, clad in worn black converse, slapped the ground in a well-practiced rhythm. The echoes rebounding from the smooth walls slightly decreased in volume every time she passed the open door of an uninhabited classroom. Her eyes scanned the space ahead, calculating. A right here, then a sharp left and...

She skidded around the corners, almost losing her footing on the polished floor. Her hand shot out, the small fingers ending in bitten nails curling around the cool, metallic handle at the last second. She righted herself and cast a cursory glance over her shoulder - they couldn't be close or she'd be able to hear them, but it was always safer to check.

Quietly, she pushed open the door of the girls' bathroom, waiting until it had swung shut behind her before she offered a breathless "Hello?" to the room. There was no reply, but she checked underneath all of the doors to make sure they were vacant before selecting the stall third from last. Slipping inside, she hopped up onto the toilet and perched on the cistern. She closed the door behind her carefully, angling it so that she couldn't be seen from outside, but leaving it far enough that the stall still looked unoccupied. Her hands retreated into the safety of the kangaroo pocket on the front of her dark-grey-and-black striped hoodie, twisting together in silent worry while she bit her lip and focused on taking deep, even breaths.

The hush that descended over her was punctuated only by her heartbeat, the sound of blood rushing in her ears slowly withdrawing as she made herself relax. She was starting, just starting to hope when --

A crash. The bathroom door was flung open, the handle impacting upon the wall behind it with a sound loud enough to make Alyssa wince. "So, you tried to pull this one again?" a familiar voice resounded through the small room, mocking her. "How stupid do you think we are?"

"Yeah," a second voice chimed in. There was another bang as the first stall's door was forced open. "You did this last week, and two days ago,"

"You need to find some new hiding places," sneered the first. "This is getting way too easy." The second door hit its neighbour and Alyssa's breathing kicked up a notch. Two more to go. Damn it, I'm stuck in here now... maybe she's right about the hiding places.

The third door was kicked open, and she couldn't think anymore. It always happened when she was scared. She knew what was coming, what always came when those girls caught her - why, why couldn't she have just learned to fit in? Keep your head down, don't draw attention to yourself - that had always been her plan. What a shame she hadn't managed to stick to it...

The door before the one she was crouched behind slammed, and she realised suddenly that they'd probably known that she was in this stall all along, but they'd drawn it out, opened each door along the way, just to torment her more. The realisation kindled anger inside of her, a flare of warmth right in the pit of her belly and without thinking, she stood up, her hand reaching for door's handle...

There was a flash of light, and then nothing but darkness. She hit the floor.

"Unlike me, unlike me... Do you think I'm strange?"

The darkness lasted for a few seconds longer, until she realised that her eyes were shut. She opened her eyes slightly, carefully, then wide as she realised what she was seeing. A group of people ranged across the strange room, some of them glowing with strange colours, and there were a pack of... she squinted, pushing herself more upright. Dogs? Shadows? I can't even tell...

I'm not at home anymore... she thought, then suddenly, Where is home?

It scared her that she couldn't remember and she got to her feet, backing away from the strange people and shadow... dog... things a few steps before her back hit something solid. She half-turned to see a great column that stretched up to a domed glass ceiling many metres above. Looking down, she noticed a that she was standing on a large gold dial and she hopped away from it nervously, preferring the look of the featureless ground some way to her.

This place, these people... But just a moment ago, I was-- She frowned. Another thing she couldn't remember. Seeing the bookcase that covered the wall closest to her, she decided to see what it could tell her about this strange place.

She scanned the titles lining the shelves, but none of the words seemed to make any sense in the order that they'd been put in. Creatures in the Psiworld... what is this, some kind of sci-fi collection?

Deciding that she wasn't going to get any (useful) answers from the bookcase, she turned her back to it and slid to sit cross-legged on the floor in front of it. She could only hope that one of these people was able to explain, once they'd dealt with those... things.

Speaking of which... she drew her knees up to her chest, huddling into a ball and attempting to make a smaller target of herself. She hoped those things couldn't scent fear...

{{I have to go to bed for now, but I'll be here and posting again in the morning. ^u^ Just wanted to say, I think this is a great idea. This is my first RP, though, so tell me if I do something majorly wrong, please? :3;; Thanks~ See you in a few hours.}}

Mara admired the boy's intensity as she noticed it was his own energy causing the barrier. With her bearings straight, she began to move toward their protective layer, a crystaline vapor rounding her fingertips. Drawing back at the beast before her, the vapor turning to a solid shard, she looked back to the boy.

"Can I penetrate this thing, or is this going to break my fist?"
